Thus place is always refreshing and overall warm. Its a great place to relax or to walk your dog. You can watch the boats and the windsurfers or just people watch. I have been coming here for a few years and im never dissapointed.
Hidden gem in Chula Vista. Great place for a nice romantic stroll along the marina. If you just want to have a peaceful stroll along the ocean/bay then don’t waste your time driving to some crowded place. Nice little restaurant at the marina plus I just love looking at the all the boats during sunset.
Subtle low key park, in an area that isnt over populated, great view, good for cute dates, fishing, beaching, picnic. Interesting drive to get here it seems like your lost when your on the road to the park but sure enough at the end of the road you have your destination
The view is nice, the green park strip is good for walks however the sandy beach along the park is full of glass bits. Between my friend and I we picked a couple handfuls of glass in a very tiny space. Not recommend for people with small kids.
Love this park, always cool and breezy. lots of folks out enjoying exercise and a few picnics. Playground are closed.RV park pretty full. The Galley has extra outdoor dining., wonder if theyve updated the menu yet.***The fresh planted flowers are so gorgeous in parking lot and walkway of chula vista marina.
Please keep the fishing peir open we retired guys who live in chula Vista enjoy it very much
People are pretty good about maintaining distance, but there were not a lot of mask wearers and quite a few people leaving trash. It was still nice to watch the boats though
A beautiful place, not too crowded, most people keeping social distance and wearing masks. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is because all the tables were grossly dirty, and too many people with dogs, so if you are trying to have a picnic on the grass dogs keep trying to have a go at your food, and the concrete tables are incredibly disgusting. Perhaps some small areas should be marked no pets so people can enjoy their outing more.
Very nice place to take a walk. Watched a gentleman catch a fish.
Very small but extremely lovely park. Parking was limited since one lot was closed due to COVID restrictions closures. Had a wonderful sunset picnic here with a view of the bay. Plenty of shade trees, a few picnic tables, and paved paths to walk along the bay.
I go to this park to relax, eat a meal, see the reflections of the sun on the bay!! It reminds me of when I was on the USS Midway in the Indian Ocean!! When you sit on the flight deck and look into the horizon and see shimmering lights!! Truly surreal!!
On a good day, one can find peaceful solitude here on the western edge of Chula Vista. The combination of cool breezes from SD Bay and shade from eucalyptus trees is tough to beat for an escape from a busy life. That being stated, please stay away, so as not to spoil the peacefulness!
Love the Sunset Sundays NA meeting held here every Sunday at 6:30 pm
I used to love bringing my family here but lately when we go there always seems to be a get together of classic vehicles and its hard to get through there. Very annoying, wish they had traffic control!! Not fair
We love to take our chairs and relax by the water. Great place.
Went on a Saturday around lunch. Both parking lots and the street parking were full up. Large groups of people not wearing masks.Ive been to this park precovid and will have to wait to enjoy it once again.
Nice to walk and relax while enjoying the beautiful views. The only thing that ruined it was the company, Foolio had brought another female a few mos. ago & didnt think Id find out. I plan on going back...with a new & improved boyfriend.
Really nice spot for outdoor bay side activity. So family friendly.
Small neighborhood park feel but youre by the harbor, the bay, restaurants and the RV vacation park
Beautiful park! great for fishing, kids, events or just walking around.
Great place to dock your boat and just a nice relatively quiet place.
Dog heaven my girl (dog) loves to go in the bay water an swim around nice spot also for a picnic if you have kids make sure they wear water shoes the sediment can scratch or cut their feet...
I love going there. Its very peaceful and relaxing for me and my family
Very nice, very clean, fun place to go.
This park is where I always go to run nice park to excercise not so much people and pretty decent chill
I met a friend here to catch up and do some walking. I hadn’t known anoint this park all the years I’ve lived in Chula Vista. It wasn’t crowded and had a nice pathway to walk along the bay. The day was gorgeous to be outdoors. Picnic tables were also in the area for gatherings. If you walk to the end, there’s a large contraption to lift medium boats out of the water (last photo shown). This is a gem of a park that’s a bit hidden which makes it a great park to checkout.
Peaceful place you can take the fam go fishing or just chill
Good for a bike ride and a carne asada
Its a nice place to watch waves and enjoy the view over the ocean. But kids cant really play there
Very cool place. Great place for a party, walk or exercise. I did a triathlon that began and ended here. It was great.
Lovely park, with awesome view of Coronado bridge and the San Diego skyline! Great place for an early am walk, or sunset stroll. Bathrooms available, playground, dogs on leash permitted. Wish Id had more time to explore it entirely. Next time, for sure!
I love coming here. Great place to bring your family, walk your dogs or exercise.
Nice views of the Chula Vista Harbir & Marina! Always a great community event happening. Folks can take a peaceful stroll along the walkways.
One of my favorite places to hang out
Always find friendly people on a summer evening with a cool weather at the sea shore.
I just realized that this place near the marina is perfect for snorkeling! Labor day wasnt as full as other days like the, weekend! Parking was full but waiting 3 minutes will almost guarantee a spot! There is paddle and kayak rental 2 people kayak for $20. The water is almost like warm and not deep!
This is what Ive named my favorite place on Earth. It really isnt that different compared to other Bayside parks in San Diego. But this one on the Chula Vista marina became my favorite praying spot. Its usually not crowded unless you go on a weekend during summer time. The reason why I like it so much is because when youre facing the water, to your right you can see Coronados bridge and downtown San Diego and to your left you can see playas de Tijuana. Being a Mexican American, to be able to thank God for both nations while seeing them both from the same spot as I pray, is priceless... Literally, because its a public park :). It has a lot of green areas, a playground, a pier, a sand court, and other nice things to see. Theres also an RV park (resort) next to it and since its so close to the freeway and fairly close to downtown Chula Vista I believe its pretty convenient for families with small children and for those who are looking for new places to walk their dogs.
Good place to go fishing off the J street pier no license required
Excellent place to ride bikes and play volleyball or games with the kiddos
This is a nice little park, it even has a small sliver of beach running along the bay. Nice trees, grass, and some picinc tables too.
Marine Harbor J St Chula Vista is excellent place to exercise, walk, bike and eatery on the bay.
Beautiful view of the ocean and the Coronado Bridge. And theres a boat museum next door
Great place to go walking during these darn heatwaves
The view is amazing. Sunsets are even better
Beautiful bayside park. City keeps it clean.
This is a very clean, and fun RV park. Already made reservations for next year.
Nice clean park, a little out of the way.
Very enjoyable atmosphere, public restrooms are open even during covid. An ice cream truck makes rounds.
Love to go with the family to take a walk and enjoy the sunset
It was nice. I was more focused on j street marina.
Great place to take your girlfriend or wife, and have a little picnic and watch the sunset
Looks good. Nice to use this park again to eat lunch. Excellent view.
Fun day to hang out with the family.
Bring your grill bring your bike or a fishing pole to your water crafts walking jogging grass area kid playground nice breeze
Nice park. But pretty dirty.
I love relaxing here.
Little cool park on j street chula Vista.
I saw a church out here banishing today. Thechurch was able to post a whole event. I also saw local artists from san Diego or here worth GoHam radio. I saw the walk astound seekers with The toasty locos and kayak rentals by the hour. That just shows you how many diverse things are happening out here at Bayside park. I believe it to be a nice hidden gem. No homeless, no trash, no worries about Leary people at all. Totally family friendly and petfriendly as well.
Best place to swim with with my dog.
Nice place to walk and ride bikes beautiful place to be at
Nice place to picnic, fish, play volleyball, and BBQ. Family oriented
Went there during a festival they had food, vendors and all kinds of local entertainment! It was nice!
Not too hot! Theirs a little cool breeze going
Beautiful view and an all around relaxing place. Can get crowded on weekends, but on a weekday it is not packed so Id recommend one those days to go if with a large group. Limited tables so youll most likely need to bring your own set up if hosting a small event here...This place has quiet a charm. I love this place and I know you will too.
Great place to take a walk and enjoy the view
I like this place. I haven’t caught any fish here yet. I’m going to come back at sunrise and see what’s crackn.
The tacos al vapor are very good.
Just stop by for a quick walk while on a road trip. Theres really nothing going on here. Lonely!
Its beautiful and peaceful
Just happen to be in the area and stopped. It was rainy, but this is a lovely place. Very beautiful and peaceful.
Lovely place for a walk, exercise, hung out with freind there is a marina there to. Love to go there.
Been coming here since I was a kid, now I bring my kids, wish they modernized the restrooms
Wonderfull place to spend your time...grab your lonche and something to drink )Im no saing beer)
Beautiful place! Relaxing. Peaceful. For the whole Family. For Workouts. Playground for little ones. Beautiful view! This place has everything
Beautiful oceanside view. Bathrooms arent the most clean and only half walls without doors.
Amazing park, first time going and it was amazing.
Its an adorable little park in the area. The Marina is right next to it as well
I hope to spend more time there when they open it up again.
Although swimming isnt allowed it was very nice to walk or stand in the warm water. Theres a great playground for the children to enjoy and benches for parents to sit and watch their kids. Overall its a wonderful, peaceful place to visit and watch the beautiful sunset. Enjoy.
Love the view and we had a great gathering with friends and a nice carne asada
Nice place to kick back and relax
Smells weird but its still a good place to chill at
Went fishing at the J street pier. Did. Not catch anything but the scenery was nice, and it was a good time.
Excellent place for a walk.
Beautiful marina.
Nice little bay park. Decent parking and really great views of the bay
Beautiful scenery, pier, park... disgusting bathrooms.
Close by pretty safe park even at night their is always people walking around
On of San Diegos golden gems in the southbay area. Wonderful location to host a number of events. Such as weddings, birthday parties, picnics, bbqs & etc. Also not a bad location to try to get some early season fishing done. The locals in the area are always friendly and down to earth. The park is well kept up by the city and community. Not to mention the breath taking view of the beach it sits on.
Nice family area to walk, ride bikes, or just relax!
My Favorite lunch spot
Was nice and peaceful.
Very nice place, to walk around
Very nice place but currently its closed due to covid19
Besides the occasional sound of gunshots and all the police staked out around... its a pretty chill place to kick it.
