This building was the first large one to be built north of the Chicago river and was started in 1920 for the Wrigley Chewing gum Company. It consists of almost 500,000 sq ft of space in two towers and was the firstbuilding in Chicago to be air conditioned, which must have been a very attractive feature in the Chicago muggy summers.

Amazing mall. Very crowded but we visited around Christmas. They were tagging children under 18 with wrist bans. Loved the candy store on the 7th floor and the Dr. Suess gallery. The gigantic Lego display of the Chicago skyline was cool.

This is a pretty building that is next to a gorgeous and historic bridge. There is access to the river walk from here. Fort Dearborn used to be located here and there are historical sites markers. The ghirardelli ice cream shop is right next door so you can eat a yummy treat while looking at all the scenery.

Well stocked Walgreens, Coffee Shoppe, chocolate store, with new stores opened in the first floor mall. Never mind Business Offices and the stores, GO TO SEE THE ARCHITECTURE DURING THE DAY AND AT NIGHT. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING overlooking the Chicago River with a working bridge for summer boats next to it. At its river frontage you can grab a boat tour. North of Wrigley you will see the Gold Coast Shopping, and South of the building, over the bridge historical buildings like the Cultural Center and the Art Institute. Easy walking to Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and many beaches on either end.

The Wrigley Building is one of the most famous buildings in the world. It is located on Michigan Avenue on the Chicago River at the DuSable Bridge. Take a few minutes to soak it in. Dont miss seeing it at night. It is really two buildings that you can walk between. Check out the clock on top. From here, you can go north on Michigan Avenue for the next 13 blocks to shop the Magnificent mile. Eat at Eataly just north of here or any of the dozens of great restaurants in the area. The Wrigley Building looks completely different from the different angles and night and day. Dont miss this true Chicago original. Check out the different photos.

Stopped by the Ghirardelli store to check out their ice cream. Asked the counter staff if they had any recommendations, got the Treasure Island sundae. The brownie was really good, the ice cream itself was meh. Take anything you buy here to-go and walk around the city a bit youll need it and thank me later; or not. If theres a next time Ill probably try the cookies and brownies solo.
