Great little sports museum in the water tower shopping mall next to Harry Careys. Priced right at only $6 and totally worth it. If you ear at Harry Careys then you get a credit for each ticket you bought. For the money, this is such an awesome interactive museum great for all ages.Even have nice views of the city and lake.
NBA All Star weekend wouldnt be a wrap without a stop at the Chicago Sports Museum. Chicago has a rich sports history and one can find themselves playing with some of the greatest that played the game. Jordan, Maddux, Payton, Kane, Thomas, Granitza... they have something for everyone. Interactive games, well thought displays and memorabilia to remind folks of every championship, team and legendary broadcaster that supported Chicago. Eat at Harry Carays and admission is Free! A must stop for all.
Learned alot of cool facts about Chicago sports. I was hoping to actually be able to throw a ball or basketball and not play it on a game like I can at home so thats why i didnt give it more stars. They probably have the games setup that way because Im sure some can be careless. Its just more fun the other way is all.
One of the smallest museums I have been to bit chocked full of significant pieces of Chicago sports artifacts. Their section about The Goat curse and other sport curses/superstitions if interesting. Many interactive displays allow you to test your skills against some of Chicagos greatest athletes. Wonderful place for a private function as the bar service and food hit the spot.
I have visited the museum with very low hopes. I wasnt expecting much. But I was disappointed. The race car shift paddles and gas pedal werent working. No accessories in photo boot. After a 10$ entry fee, the baby foot table was pay to play. Could not find anything to play at the ping pong table either. The goaler game was not working at all. Camera did not see mee. Xbox game was stuck on sign in screen. At least the ticket value can bee used in the resto. Got myself a beer. At least that worked...
Terrific place to take a sports loving family. Seventh floor inside the Water Tower next to a poorly serviced restaurant with no one tending bar. But hey I was there for the sports. Great info, a lot of fun interactive games and photo opps. And Im pretty sure its free at certain times.
Apparently this a totally Chicago thing to do, but I wasnt necessarily all that impressed. Perhaps because the theme was wines and vineyards (and we are not really drinkers) or perhaps because the shake house was down, or just maybe because we missed the last planetarium showing and the friends we were with had already been through the rain forest biodome?
This was an unexpected treasure. Didnt realize all there was due to its location, but so glad we made the last minute decision to go in. Some nice exhibits but the most fun was the different virtual games you can play (football, baseball, and basketball). Allowed for some healthy and fun competition. For a good price we have a great time.
My nephew loved this one!
Amazing display of historic sports memorabilia. Fun, interactive games you can play as well.
Great place for the guys to kill an hour or more while the ladies shop.
We had lots of fun. Great place to team build and have corporate events.
Fun place to host an event or just hang out. Interactive exhibits and fun Chicago sport memorabilia.
Definitely sports. This place literally had Xbox connects for some of the exhibits. It was kind of sad.
Very informative and fun games. Definitely e must see.
Captures amazing pieces of history and cool interactive games for kids and adults. Eat at Harry Carys and get into the museum for free.
What a hidden gem! I highly recommend going to the top floor at Water Tower Place and spending time at the Chicago Sports Museum. We had so much fun and it is FREE.Not only do they have uniforms and photos, but they have virtual reality games. We did the quarterback challenge, hit homeruns, and nba challenge (I beat my husband at that one). There were only 3 or 4 other people there on a Saturday afternoon so we had the run of the place. My husband is a huge sports fan so we had so much fun here. Definitely an unexpected treat.
Such a fun place to visit. Was in Chicago for a mini-vacation and am so glad we took the time to come here. Were sports people and this was a treat.
I really liked The museum and would have gave it 5 stars but at least 4 of the interactive games werent working. If you are going to charge someone $10 to get into a place like that, you should at least warn them all the activities arent working.
Pretty good. A decent amount of memorabilia and activities. Good if you love Chicago sports.
Its a very small museum. I noticed that it was dusty and dirty. They need to sanitize and clean it more often. Its free to enter if you eat at Harry Careys restaurant. If not, I believe you have to pay $ 15 to enter which I dont think its worth it.
Its decent and a place to see Chicago sports historic sites
Lots of fun interactive activities. Some great memorabilia as well.
Amazing place to hang out..
Great experience while on a baseball vacation in Chicago. The discount with eating at the restaurant is a cant miss deal.
Wonderful surprise museum. It was free with our meal at Harry Carays. a lot of interesting things to see and even a few games. We had a wonderful time there. Its well worth the visit.
Recommend that anyone who visits Chicago goes and checks this out.
Was really fun
Awesome place if you love Chicago sports
Loved the memories....
Cool sports history. Enjoyed seeing Sammy Sosas corked bat, as well as the history on the Cubs curse. They even had Bartmans foul ball.Apparently I wont be attending the NFL combine anytime soon with a 24 inch vertical leap and a paltry 60lbs grip strength...
There were a lor of fun activities
Lot of information on sports teams in the city I love. Not a huge museum but you cant expect so much for 10$. Just wish the games and interactive experiences were more challenging and gave a score of like how good you are in sports to encourage people to follow and love sports more. But still really cool though in things like comparing your hand size to Michael Jordans and your reaction time as ice hockey goalie and also the various medals and rings on display and the collection of memorabilia.
Awesome place, great management, the bar tender was not as friendly or attentive
The money you spend on entry on the tickets gives you a credit in the bar. Well worth it even if that wasnt the case. The museum itself is really good fun and very interesting - easy way to spend an hour at most.
We had our wedding here yesterday. It was AMAZING. The staff was wonderful. The venue itself is fantastic for sports fans. My guests had a great time.
Went here the other day. What a fun and amazing experience.
Great place to educate your children!
It was a cool experience and they had fun interactive games to play, which was pretty good. I thought it would be much bigger though. Over all its a cool place to visit.
Some interesting its of sports nostalgia including the remains of the Bartman ball. If you eat at the adjacent restaurant theyll credit your admission to your bill.
Great little interactive Chicago sports museum
I said okay if youre not I would not go there but tourists and travellers and whatever like it but sweetie I would not be able to see this if they been me I would not go in its generic and its not whats the city should show we can really show the city much better way than this place does it
Great place to go and learn some Chicago Sports history. Very fun and Interactive great for all ages highly recommend
This was a cool place. My son and husband really loved it as they are huge Chicago sports fans. Im a Dallas sports fan. Either way, it was nice.
Did a quick walk through, so didnt do a full tour. Planning an outing there for another day (reason for the 3 stars).
So much fun learning about the sport of the game. Interesting! Go asap!
Great museum! Ate at Harry Carrys! Saw the shredded cursed ball. Kids had fun with the interactive games.
Great place to see sports memoribilia & learn fun facts!
This was a big hit with our family. The die hard sports fans made sure we made it to this museum and we all had a blast. There are multiple interactive games that we all enjoyed taking turns playing. There werent many people there so we basically had the run of the place and had no issues playing each game multiple times without a wait. Its not very big but we still spent over an hour, had lots of laughs, and took lots of pics. Harry Caray Tavern is right there and you get free entry into museum if you purchase food so make sure to eat first and then enjoy the museum.
Take an hour or so to have lunch and visit the museum. Eye-popping memorabilia from all of my favorite teams! Interesting interactive exhibits to measure vertical leap, arm span, grip strength, reaction time, and so much more!
Its fun for kids and adults and the games or test they have are good. Problem is at least 5 where not working when I went there...of course they offered a full refund but it looks like they dont care about the museum.
My kids, wife, and I really enjoyed this. It almost made the meal at Harry Carrys Seventh Inning Stretch worth it.
I was here for a private party. I would recommend this venue to anyone! The staff was amazing and the appetizers were all delicious. There was an open bar and kudos to the DJ! GREAT FUN and really great exhibits and games. Did I mention that dinner exceeded expectations?
Very interactive!! We had a lot of fun!!
Great variety of Chicago sports memorabilia and interactive games.
Great place for families to visit! Interactive things to do for kids and adults
If you love basketball go here.. so much history it makes you feel like youre right there with MJ and Pippin
I highly recommend seeing this if youre a sports fan visiting Chicago. Spend about 1-2 hours there and mark it off the bucket list.
Great memorabilia from Chicago professional sports teams along with some memorable interactive displays.
I attended a fundraiser here and it was fabulous. We had the run of the place. There were games and interactive experiences, any basketball fan would love this place.
Very interactive museum lots of fun
It fun and interactive. Very interesting
Super cool place. Great for kids
Great place to visit with lots of history!

Lots of fun and free when you eat at the restaurant
Lots of fun. Cant wait to bring my niece and nephew
Fun interactive sports Museum
Stood in some mighty large gym shoes...enjoyed the memorabilia. Free admission after dining at harry careys restaurant along side museum.. Worth the price of food!
Really cool and the grills food is sooo good
Its worth the price if you love Chicago sports.
Very fun overall experience, and the restaurant was VERY good
Great place.
This is free if you spend $20 in the adjacent Harry Caray restaurant. Fun and interactive, this could take 20 minutes to an hour. Family friendly activities included where you can play games sort of like Wii.
Great experience.
Love sports therefore love all thing sports. Chicago is a great city with a rich sports heritage. Just wish the cubs won the world series so we will have more items in the museum. Guess I will have to wait
Nice little museum if you love Chicago sports and the rich history. One cool thing is they have the actual hover board from Back to the Future 2. Its small but if you eat in Harry Caseys 7th Inning Stretch you get in for free to the museum. Lots of different interactive stuff to see and do. Only wish it was bigger.
Cash register was broken so we got free admission. Great for sports fans who want to see some quirky memorabilia and some fun activities to do as well.
Very cool place
Cool place even thought i really dont like sports this still was a cool and interesting place
Bulls forever
So cool and so-many things to do! Very family friendly!
Some really cool sports relics for chicago fans
Really cool interactive museum
Really great place pretty cheap to get in and the more you go inside of it the better it gets great things from this place total shocker to me. Thought it was going to be horrible
Short and small but definetly worth the money. It may take 30 minutes to take your time to explore, read and watch great Chicago sports history.
So much neat memorabilia here! We will definitely be back!
Fun. Was there for a group event. Staff did a good job. Was enjoyable.
Great place for me and my son to hang out while the wife shops
An absolutely must see for sports fans in Chicago. Very interactive museum with fin things to participate in.
Learned a lot and had fun at the same time
The Chicago Sports Museum is located in Water Tower Place on the 7th floor at 835 N. Michigan Avenue. It is adjacent to Harry Carays 7th Inning Stretch restaurant. The museum itself is highly interactive and great foyer kids. If you pay the $10 admission price and then eat in the restaurant on the same day before 6 pm, they will give you a credit of $10 for each ticket that was purchased.Take your time to walk around and soak in all of the Chicago memorabilia that is on display here. You should reserve anywhere from 1 to 2 hours to really be able to enjoy the Chicago Sports Museum. There is a gift shop where you can purchase your own souvenirs to take home with you, but I was disappointed to find that most of the items were made in China. As the prices are on the higher side, I recommend that you go to Walgreens or any of the local stores nearby as I have similar items for less money. Also, take time to check out the items on both sides of the walls in the hallway between the museum and the restaurant, you can take a picture with the bronze bust of Harry Caray & make yourself into a football player with the standee that is at the end of the hallway.
It was a great visit, a lot of amazing memorabilia and interactive exhibits!!
This place is Awesome. Great for kids
Great place, wonderful mojito, very good hamburgers!!!! Good for family
