One of the most beautiful and amazing statues ever. And truly a gift of the city

One of the highlights of Jackson Park and the World Fair of 1893 in this area. She is brilliant, standing out in any weather, and represents some beautiful ideals. She’s also a huge statue, but somehow also still hidden by trees until you get to her. I always find it magical, and highly recommend driving out of your way to go by her!

It is a good place to go. Cant image all that and used to be a waterway.

This beautiful 24ft statue known as The Republic is an ode to the original which was 65 ft tall and used during the Worlds Fair in 1893. Great spot for walks in the park. There is a golf driving range to the right and a great Japanese garden on the island off to the right.

This is a hidden gem that not many local Chicago people know about it. Fantastic park for walking, running and family picnics. Love love love this statue. Fun fact, Chicago based FEW distillery has this statue as their logo.
