One of the most beautiful and amazing statues ever. And truly a gift of the city
One of the highlights of Jackson Park and the World Fair of 1893 in this area. She is brilliant, standing out in any weather, and represents some beautiful ideals. She’s also a huge statue, but somehow also still hidden by trees until you get to her. I always find it magical, and highly recommend driving out of your way to go by her!
It is a good place to go. Cant image all that and used to be a waterway.
This is a hidden gem that not many local Chicago people know about it. Fantastic park for walking, running and family picnics. Love love love this statue. Fun fact, Chicago based FEW distillery has this statue as their logo.
We lived 65th and Stony Island when I was five, my older brothers told me the statue ate passing five year old boys for lunch,to keep me from following them to the beach. Being an avid reader of the story of trolls under bridges, I missed a lot of beach outings. Cool statue tho...
Huge Statue, nicely located...
A beautiful rendition of the original statue in the 1893 Chicago World Fair

Very cool statue! Fun to visit in person
Unique piece of art. Actual scaled down replica of Worlds Fair original. Great history & city monumental statue.
To imagine how this statue once stood before the peristyle of the Chicago Worlds Fair (1893) -- surrounded by the magic of The White City! Amazing. I wonder how many people today know its history.
Great spot for some plein air painting.
