Never been here before, ended up there last night for a socially distanced birthday party and I can say in all honesty it became my favorite park in Chicago. Everywhere you looked people were picnicking in pairs or in small groups, mainly adults very few children on our end of the park. Extremely romantic and very Paris-like atmosphere.
Born and raised and have seen it change from a nightmare to what it has became. Safe at times, like any part of Chicago but a great place to just have a walk or do laps. The only thing that would be nice is having the city redo the pavement and get grass placed. Now for pet lovers a dog area would also be nice. Over all the location is peaceful.
Palmer is a nice little park with plenty of shade and many paths to walk around in. It was pretty clean not much trash around. There are lots of families with children enjoying the grass and the center of the park rock thing. No dogs are allowed in the middle. But there is a water fountain with a large dog bowl that is usually always filled with ice. Very nice for any pups who need a break.
Lovely little park between Humboldt Park and Logan Square. Some art pieces, dog friendly, playground - great place to hang out and people watch or meet the neighbors
Great park for walking and a picnic. I walk the path daily. Playground for young kids, and ample enough parking. A lot of trees for hammocks, and shade for gatherings. Extremely peaceful!
This is an incredible neighborhood park. Not small, very family friendly, fun art pieces throughout, great for walking, running, dog walking, picnics, playing catch, etc.
This park is nice to run and walk... there is always people there and lots of trees...very nice spot in the city.
When its cooler out there are less people and its calming for me to walk here.
Great park to bicycle stroll or jog around. Family friendly with a playground, stop under the trees and relax!
Very nice and peaceful family orientated Nice if you want to go on a walk they have like a little track Built-in all around the park good for running Our Jess if you want to just waste time walk around I like it I sat there with my girl and had like a little picnic And everybody keeps their distance with whats going on now its the best part of it all
Nice green space in Logan Square, nice for picnics especially.
My COVID sanctuary during the warm months.
Cool but not really a park. More like trees in between two busy streets.
Nice park when its dry but in the spring this place is literally a swamp. Bad drainage here in a lot of spots.
Nice stroll and seeing people enjoy the lovely day as I was.
Nice respite for Logan residents. Easy parking and big enough to accommodate must activities while maintaining social distances.
Nice park, well maintained, so much soace! Our pups love it
Great path for running and good mix of sun spots and shaded spots. Plenty of trees for hammocks and always a good amount of space even when crowded.
It was great to see people kipping ther distance is a great places to have your lunch break and enjoy the view
Best tree lined park, with bike lanes in the streets. Cant beat it.
Is great park... beautiful neighborhood also
Come and explore the healthy park and the beauty. The people are very kind.
This park is perfect for picnics or games. Its a great city gathering spot.
One of the most beautiful and peaceful boulevard/park spaces in the city
Nice park to walk around. But if it rains it might have flooded.
A beautiful green space in the middle of city life, with interesting art pieces and lovely trees and grounds. Take a walk and join in the fun.
Great home park.
A wonderful place to spend time with the family !
Great place to sit and relax in the city.
Very nice and chill park.
Great place to go for a stroll without being interrupted by cars and traffic.
Great place for family wandering. Also great little trail to run around. My happy place!
Palmer square Park is awesome. Plenty to do nice statues!
I spent a few years residing in this areaThough it is a smaller parkIts great for a quick jog, a simple stroll with neighbors and friends as well.
I gave it four stars my dog would give it five.
Nice spot to chill
Perfect Place for to Tan.
Nice park for a quick run
Great place to picnic, party, hammock, or play. A very versatile place to have fun. It does have a small kiddy area for kids to play
Great place for a jog, dog walk and good space for kids to play.
A quaint park nestled inside the Logan Square neighborhood. Lots of green space and very kid and pet friendly.
Saw my friend get married here, it was a lovely ceremony and the weather was perfect.
Me and my four-year-old son went for a walk had a good time
Fun inner city park. Felt safe, fairly clean
Nice jogging parh
Nice place to walk through and has a bit of art there too, so it makes the walk much more enjoyable.
Great for walking the dog with art scattered thru the park.
Its a nice park with equipment accessible enough to my yr old daughter
Great place for walking..running. enjoy the sunny day..
A great place to spend an afternoon on a nice day with some friends, go for a run, or frolic around with your dog. Theyve recently installed a few sculptures as well making use of older dying trees. Forewarning, some areas can be pretty muddy, even if it hasnt rained in a few days.
Great park to run jog etc.
Great place for walkers, awesome trail (as long as it hasn’t rained recently) perfect green oasis in an incredible neighborhood
Nice running track along with being looped into the overall Humboldt and Logan park connecting boulevards.
There is a gravel path around the entire park, with benches and a kiddie playground for toddlers. The buildings that surround the park are bueatiful and the vibe is very peaceful.
I’d rate it five stars but it was really hot outside
Nice place to sit and enjoy an Italian Ice from Mikos which is right naround the corner
Wonderful park to go for a walk or run, to take the kids out and enjoy a beautiful day.
Its a nice little park to sit and relax and enjoy the weather
Very nice and quite place, good for exercise early mornings.
Great place for a run or walk with the dogs. Its super people friendly and there always interesting opportunities for people watching. The park is small, clean, and has tons of greenery. There is a small playground for the little ones as well. Nothing fancy but a great spot to get a bit of outdoors time.
Love Palmer! I’ve been stopping at Mikos Italian ice and then making my way to Palmer square for years!
Great place to take a stroll but dont be stupid and walk around past 11pm for no reason!! #dontbeaidiot
I dont know why, but I love this park. Maybe its the location, maybe its the open space, but theres something about this place that is inviting and welcome. Youll find joggers, people walking their dogs, reading books, in a hammock, playing a game... Very friendly spot. Theres a childrens area, and its surround by mostly residential. A nice healthy walk away from Milwaukee Ave & Logan Blvd. Great spot to relax when the weather cooperates.
Beautiful park
Peaceful green space in the historic Logan Square neighborhood.
This large park has areas for kids to play, dogs to run and a trail around it for running. The people are friendly and usually having a picnic or hanging out.The only downside to the park is that us can easily turn muddy with rain and can flood. It is large enough that you can find space that isnt though.I am definitely happy to have this park so close for my dog.
Beautiful
I drive pass Palmer Square on a regular basis when I leave work, and have contemplated a few times to do a run here, after I read a couple reviews. There were a select few that mentioned run in their reviews, so I had to see it firsthand once I got that urge to come out to Palmer Square. However, when that time came to run here, I passed on it because its paths are so narrow plus congested with walkers. As a seasoned runner, I would say that its designed more for that casual runner or walker because there is just not enough room to get into your groove when there are others on it. So, if youre a seasoned runner run there early when its less congested or do yourself a favor and just head on down to the 606 - Bloomingdale trail or either Humboldt Park and just run there versus a run at Palmer Square because both are less congested.I cannot bash Palmer Square because it is beneficial to many others, plus its shaded! As for other activities its perfect for small cookouts, picnics, and a place where you could take your kids and dogs to due to it having mini play areas for both. There is a Divvy bike access at this location too if you need to drop off or pick up a Divvy bike.Enjoy, and I hope this review was helpful.Thomas Gouard
Nice safe park. Love the tree swings. Plenty of foot traffic during the day. Never felt unsafe walking around
Such a beautiful park. Each new season as beautiful as the last. Great intimate picnic spot. Small play area for children in center.
Great Trails hreat for Scooter or bike
Recent additions of public art is really cool and Im grateful to have this beautiful reprieve just blocks from my home. The trees are not ideal for hammocks, in case you were wondering
This park is one of my favorites in the city. Elevation changes, heavy foliage, and gravel paths are all elements that make this park beautiful and somewhat different from other city parks. I always enjoy visiting.
Needs some TLC because of all the water but chill spot. Mikos on the corner rocks!!
Great for toddlers who are learning to move around.
Awesome city park with jogging path, lots of trees and a small play area for children. Some of the trees maybe old Native American sign posts as many have large branches that are parallel to the ground. Beautiful and peaceful.
Palmer has a lot of benches and play areas. There is a jogging track and sidewalks. A lot of sun bathers hang out in the summer, and folks reading in the shade under trees. Typically theres enough benches for everyone to hog their own. Also, theres a bunch if tightrope walker practicing there lately.
Delightful greenspace to stretch the legs.
Good running trail
Is nice, quiet, peaceful and has great scenery
I its a tiny park. Nothing much to see or do.
Palmer Square Park is the nicest park in the neighborhood and features a walking/running track and small playground. Its surrounded by historic homes and a beautiful Catholic Church which adds to the peaceful ambiance. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and enjoy a relaxing day in the sun in the heart of Logan Square.
I live in this
Its a big park that has many amenities for children and adult for exercise .
Very well take care
Cute park with kids’ attractions and open space to hang out
Great for summer with the kids
Big park with great running/walk track. Plenty of space for fun activities
Good to walk or running around clean and quiet
It lacks a bathroom but it is a wonderful little green oasis.
