My co-workers and I were @ this park doing Census Taking as part of our job @ North West Side Housing Center. I found it to be a place of gathering for all the nearby friendly neighbors. I did notice that it needs some maintenance. For example, one of the trees needs new mulge around it. Also, I was able to enjoy some Tacos from “El Azteca” on one of the park’s picnic benches, with one of my co-workers @ the end of our shift.

The summer camp leaders must make sure children pick up after themselves after snack time. There were milk cartons and pears everywhere. Im disappointed because we must teach children to respect our neighborhood and the environment by throwing away our trash!

Great Park!, large field, swings, soccer field, tennis court, and a smaller park area for toddlers

As Chicago Parks go, this one is ok. The field is sprawling and in fairly good condition. The playground is extensive and the sprinkler is great for kids in the summer. I havent been in the field house. The benches by the baseball diamonds should be replaced as theyre sinking into the ground and Id love to see some flowers somewhere.

Blackhawk Park offers a lot but its kind of old-fashioned it has small buildings a big yard lots of trees perfect for playing tag and a pool and a gym but both are on the smaller side.

Nice park, but they need to invest more to it. they have a soccer field section freshly new (fake grass)... but really need to fix the play ground its all wood chips, (cheap) they need to invest in the rubber play ground flooring instead with all the kids that play here. My guess is because its predominately a Hispanic area they left it like sh#t, but go up to the parks in the white neighborhood and they have all the nice swings and rubber Matt flooring... smh

Very great courts to play at. Very well kept. Very respectful crowd and though it is in Belmont cragin it is very safe. It is always populated by familys and soccer players. As well as people walking there dogs, even till late.

Great place to go to exercise, bring kids, go for a walk, or just relax. Tennis court, soccer field, baseball field, indoor swimming pool, playground, grass field, theyre working on a basketball court. My son & I love coming here.

This park had just gotten a great make over was a dull park but the change everything great for kids and also has it own soccer field to play soccer on and 2 baseball courts and tennis court great for the whole family

An occasional stroll with my dogs usually mornings or middays. The surrounding area however can be iffie from time to time.

The neighborhood park its ok but the problem I have is it needs more cops patrolling looking out. There are some people coming in the park causing problems sometimes. Families are just trying coming in the park just to have some time with there kids without being bothered by some gang member.

Its Friendly and a good play to just play.There is a indoor pool a basketball court a tennis court and a soccer pitch.

Good camp good place for teens to volunteer. Teens can help camp leadera take care of the kids. Great place to play soccer, baseball amd lots of other sports. This park has a turf field and a tennis court. This park also has a pool with different depths.

Great place to go go with family and have fun but also go swiming but also be carefull when leaving things in the locker mainly dye to people stealing things while going swiming this has happened mainly to 3 people i know and then also the people in the front desk dont help when ur stuff us stolen and say that its not their responsibility

Their summer camp is good. They have an indoor pool at this location and tennis courts. You will need to chase away people if you want to play tennis as theres always someone playing on the tennis courts.As with all the Chicago parks, the field house could use a major update.Generally good for kids.#CitiExperts. @Localguides

,,, great place for kids they have a slide lots of things to climb on and they even have a little water fountain pool for the kids the adults mostly just sit around on the benches and smoke cigarettes but its a great place to go its on LaVergne and Medill they also sell street food there vendors hang out there., they gave it a makeover and it is an awesome part to take the kids or for adults to play tennis or just hang out its very relaxing iPass it almost everyday when Im walking

My son husband and I had to flea the facility as an argument broke out amongst a couple of males right in front of the park. One went inside the house and the others started running that was out clue to make our escape from the park. My son was so terrified that he said in a soft voice that he never wants to come back to this park. Its real sad. We had to drive up Fullerton to go to Riis park. Oh yeah that happened morning hours.

They need to open the gym area. Open gym to people that wanna play basketball. The park has potential, but no attraction to bring ppl in. Just a yeah we have it, but no you cant use it. Its called a public park.
