I’ve attended several Storytown performances over the past few years, and can attest that children love Storytown - and so do adults. These shows are fun, funny, and highly entertaining. As a part of every show, each child is encouraged to actively participate in an improvised story/performance via artwork, suggestions, and sometimes even acting on stage. The adult cast members are adept at interacting with and incorporating suggestions from children of various ages, creating a storyline that is satisfying and entertaining for everyone. I highly recommend Storytown as a great way for children and their families to spend a Saturday morning. Mary Eck
Had a great time with the crew at Storytown for my daughter’s 5th birthday. Jill, who helped organize our party, was wonderful to work with: she provided timely and complete answers to all my questions, helped with setup and cleanup, and even took my kids on a secret tour of the light and sound booth (they were thrilled!). The cast make the show super fun, and even the most antsy kiddos were fascinated by the antics and participated in the adventure. Thank you!
Storytown is such a fun experience! Our improv session began with coloring on stage and ended with beaming smiles from all, with laughter throughout the entire show. The Storytown troupe took suggestions from the audience to build a hilarious story. While this is for kids, its really is great for all ages. They really mean it when they say no two stories are alike. We loved all the costumes and the clever costume changes to align with the story. Definitely on the to do again bucket list!!
My family and another family had the pleasure of encountering Storytown Improv on exhibit during Family Fun Day at the Art Institute of Chicago. We watched (and participated in!) back-to-back shows, and its true, no two stories are the same. The acting troupe is lively, creative, and professional, and it made surprising use of props and suggestions provided by the audience. My kids (and we adults :)) were delighted by this uncommon form of theatre.
The show is funny for adults as well as kids! The cast makes up the story and songs based on suggestions from the children in the audience - but the kids can also get up on stage and be part of the show. Super unique experience for families.
The kids loved it! Adorable, interactive, and fun for all of us! And they can host birthday parties!
I hosted my six year olds birthday and it was a blast. Loved how they incorporated all the kids art into one action packed, musical. Very talented bunch and the entire programme was very well organised from the foyer set up for food to cleaning up. Cost Rs 8 per party guest for the show and 85 for the foyet. They have a discounted tie-in with Home Run Inn Pizza and that is extra. Definitely recommend. Anyone can walk in on Sat 10:30 to catch a show at 10 bucks
It a wonderful life, now playing
