I love sharing Project Onward with my local friends and out-of-town visitors. They are all floored by the quality and quantity of the artwork produced by the artists here, and its rare they leave without buying a memento or gift (I mean, how couldnt you? Its a non-profit, so every purchase is 100% feel-good.).The best time to visit is when the artists are working in the studio. The energy they bring to the space is infectious, and addicting (at least I havent been able to stop visiting and volunteering on a regular basis for the last three years). Most of them love to talk about their work, and, it is plain to see, how passionate, talented and genuine they all are.Even when the artists arent there, the studio space is incredible. It is easy to spend hours looking at the art covering the walls, and flipping through the art bins. I highly doubt youll have trouble finding a piece or two to bring home at any price range, but, if you do, the artists will take commissions! My go-to gifts for special events and holidays are custom portraits, which start at $40.

We first heard about Project Onward when we purchased one of their artists’ pieces at the Hyde Park Art Fair, and since then have visited the Gallery and purchased another piece there. I very much enjoyed my visit to the Gallery, especially getting to meet many of the artists and getting a first-hand tour of their work by the artists themselves.

Studios corresponding artist program improved dramatically! Happy that I work here now.They are most patient with everyone. Yes, this place is improving every day.
