Public exhibitions are always worth checking out. Dining is for members only. Increasingly performing arts events are trying to open themselves to a wider audience, so stand by for further announcements from one of the best curatorial teams in town.
We visited the Arts Club of Chicago to see the exhibition The Nervous System by Amy Sillman, which my wife would not miss. Apart from the doorman there was nobody about, so we had the place to ourselves to enjoy unusually good paintings. A lovely brief interlude on a busy Chicago weekend!
We had a private tour and a nice drink designed for our visit.
Interesting spot with collections rarely seen in public. The event are awesome with great spreads of cheese and drink tickets that are a bit over priced. Its probably because they have to pay for all that brie! Second floor boasts event space with expansive stage. Lots of great talks, poetry readings, and other intelligentsia passtimes.
This place is not an artist friendly place. It is a place that uses artists as a pretext to stay in business. Getting membership fees. Everybody is clercking. I have never seen interesting work there. The space is nice but the permanent artwork is to puke. The staff, the curator are clueless. Attendance is low class. Artists dont bother. Attendees keep your money.
It’s a small space worth a visit. Check their website for events, the live performances are really well done.
An architectural gem full of inspiring art.
Lovely. Smallish museum space, beautiful luncheon area. Membership
I love the invitations that I get from here I never miss them . Too good to miss . Exceptional gallery
Wonderful space.... great Art
Hidden gem with interesting art on display in their gallery. The recent remodel is well done. This is a private club so public views of the arts in believe are welcome but further use of the premises is restricted.
Very swank gallery with lovely dinning, not sure what parts are open to public. I was there by invitation.
Very nuce for an organizational gathering and artsy type programs
Beautiful space for events. The Salvation Army had a great one here recently. Go for the paintings!
Great space! Wonderful people! Im so happy that Adam and Jenna are in Chicago!!
Members-only lunch club focused on the artistic community
Hit or miss on the museum since it is exhibitions without a permanent exhibit displayed.
The Émilie Charmy exhibit is well-timed to honor women and our contribution to the arts.
Beautiful salon and exhibition space.
Beautiful place and very artistic :)
Wonderful displays
Its a Private Club
Exclusive and exquisite.
Fun place to have lunch but awful art on display
Beautiful
Nothing really special nor much to see here. I guess just swing by if you are near.
