Im a firm believer in the idea that schooling, as in life, is what you make it. However, a college has all the resources it needs to recruit reputable and worthy instructors. This school fails at retaining great teachers, gets rid of them at that, and keeps terrible ones. I highly recommend going elsewhere for this kind of money. A community college would even be more beneficial. Credits dont transfer if you start at the academy and its impossible to change your degree once sophomore year starts.
Went Part time year round for close to 6 years in order to graduate. Left $63,000.00 in debt. Job placement is a joke. They went through 3 career services people in a 5 year span. $900.00 Lunch meetings Claims of the 95% success rate in job placement, includes work like henna tattooing at six flags. Fires good teachers that disagree with the administration, which is fine it is a private school. It does mean that there is little to no growth in certain aspects of learning and training. Some people go on to have wonderful work in the arts most people leave bitter.Honestly if you have the cash out of pocket to learn the arts, your better off finding an artist to work under or small clubs or groups that study. Decide then if you want to learn at a school.
Bureaucracy, politics, and drama mixed in a tiny school. This place boasts about how several famous artists have attended their school, all while giving students a terrible schedule. You can only go to this school as a full time student as there is no regard for you or your own time as a human being. It is the only college-level school that I know that fails you based on attendance alone, and not based on your actual assignments. If you have work, forget it. Theyll assign morning classes at 8:00am and leave gigantic gaps of empty timeslots, only to have to crawling back to school at 5:00pm.Oh, and have I mentioned that you cannot transfer your credits?Forget this mediocre school. If you really want to major in the arts, go to California or Vancouver. Save yourself the headache and your money.
Our Daughter busted her butt communting from Indiana to the College for 4 long years. Despite having Aspergers Syndrome, she loved the school. Acquired an incredible amount of Student Loan Debt. Little to no job placement assistance. Shes not once received a phone call for jobs she applied for, disappointing and heartbreaking to see your child try, succeed and to not reap any benefits from her huge investment
Yeezy went here
Its a good college
