1st time back in a few years due to moving but this park has made some nice upgrades over time. There are now 2 play areas. Love seeing teenagers being kids and playing some friendly fun basketball at this park as well. Along the path there are options to take explorer path and these are great for hikers, not so great for bicycles. The main path is really good for bikes with very few stairs along path.

Friendly diverse crowd and kept clean and well maintained.Perfect for easy stroll and pups too.Do yourself a favor and take the time to get some fresh air open space,, dont limit yourself to home out of fear of getting unwell, isolation makes you more sick than many diseases, and a mask cant cure loneliness, or much else for that matter

My family loves this park. It has had a upgrade with more play equipment. The paths that run through the park lead to a water area that has a bridge to cross. You can walk run or ride your bike. The scenery is very beautiful and relaxing. The only thing that i could think to make this park absalutley perfect is more sitting areas around the play equipment areas.

Beautiful park. It has a little bit for everyone. Whether you like sports, hiking, fishing or having parties outdoors this park has got you covered. Ive enjoyed many visits over the past two years and only thing I can point out is that occasionally the boardwalk across the lake floods and makes the passing imposible. Other than that highly recommend

Great park. This park, as far as I can tell, has the tallest slides in the Chesterfield County Park system! My children love the playground. Then there is the marsh. If you find your way down to the floating walkway, you are in for a treat. Lovely views and walk. Careful if you bring a stroller as some parts are difficult.

Well marked trails, viewing platforms, floating walkways, and marshes typifies what makes walking this area so enjoyable. Whenever possible venture off the main path (white) to the Adventure Trail and the Yellow Trail. Both of these will lead you into less used and more scenic areas. To locate: drive to the back of the park to the playgrounds. The trailhead begins beyond them. It a short, easy hike which can be extended by going off the beaten path. Good for families w young children.

2nd visit. First time was to the playground. I love how it has 2 playgrounds with different side slides drums underneath.(the playgrounds are cool) I really like how the benches are closer to the playground so you can actually sit and watch if you wanted to. Today I walked the trails with 4 kids husband and a dog. Nice scenery. HOWEVER I did get lost trying to find the exit, I do not read rectangle and arrow guides. But it all worked out just back tracked. It would be a lot better with arrows pointing to let you know how to get back. My son found a rva rock art he was ecstatic about!

Unexpected gem in Chesterfield. Ive lived here long enough and in several different places to say Im being honest when I say Chesterfield sucks. Compared to other places Ive lived this place simply sucks HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised when my husband, my kids and I stumbled upon this park one day when we were picking random green areas on Google maps. At first it seemed like any other park with a walking trail but then we saw the floating board walk from a lookout. If Chesterfield would have more places like this and teach their residents how to drive and be friendly, maybe Chesterfield wouldnt be on my list.

Great trails to walk alone, with a group, or with family. Bird watching overlooks, and a marsh walk on a floating bridge. We have gone here for years and we loved it when our kids were small because they could enjoy the forest without getting lost. There is a lot of picnic tables, play ground, basketball court, tennis, and soccer fields. There is indoor bathrooms and the grounds are kept very clean. There is also Pokemon gyms and stops on the grounds if you play Pokemon Go. RVA Rocks also hides painted rocks here for you to find and rehide or keep. All around a wonderful place.

Have spent many an afternoon here with the kids. The trails are extensive and well marked. They wind down to the marshes as well. The playground is just enough to keep them occupied and are clean and well maintained. Have been to B-day party at one of the pavilions and they are a great place for large gatherings. Bathrooms are good. Catch a ball game here as well!
