Saw Marcus King at the Bend, CMH did a great job putting on a socially distanced show. Great sound, felt very secure, and an absolutely beautiful venue. Great work
Charleston Music Hall is one of my favorite event and performance venues in the Charleston area. The hall is the perfect size as not matter where you sit or stand you are going to get a good view. I have also had a chance to be on stage for an event and it was a really cool experience. This place is well managed and organized and everything runs smoothly even with sold out events that are packed out. I like the drink and bar areas available and it really adds to the venue. Each event I have attended here has been memorable and enjoyable.
Great vibe. Everyone who works the door knows what they are doing. Tight security and in a super upscale part of town. No worries, safe, secure, friendly. Lots of restaurants literally next door. A record shop, and access to some of Downtown Charlestons finest. Check it out. I love the joint!
Much better security since the last visit. I think they got rid of the security company they were using before. No torn hand bags. No screaming in your face. Just wish someone would shush all the talkers. Great venue none the less.
Nice venue for watching our three-year-old granddaughters first ballet performance in the Nutcracker. A cozy venue, and clean, and the parking garage is right there which was very nice. The space between your seat and the seat in front of you is way more than usual which was great for those of us who are tall. The seats are snug if you arent a skinny human but overall a nice venue.
This is really a great local music theater for seeing smaller touring acts. Have seen a few shows here - having sat in multiple locations - and always impressed with the room from a sound perspective. Im not sure there is a bad seat. Really cool location in downtown Charleston. Have never had an issue with parking on nights of show. Cant wait to get back!
Parking is so convenient. Be sure to look for some dude who gives a 5 dollar off coupon for parking before going in!Sound in the place is awesome! The staff was very nice and will show you to your seat(s) and there is not a bad seat in the whole house.Concessions on both floors helps the flow!Great venue!
Attended an event here for the first time and was impressed. Organized and easy entry process, fair pricing/decent selection on concessions, and wide comfortable seating for us fluffy people. Definitely will look for more events in the future.
Beautiful historic venue. I dont think theres a bad seat in the house! Plenty of options for a yummy pre - concert dinner on the alley next door. St. Paul and the Broken Bones were awesome! ️
Ive seen many performances here, and they were all great experiences. Every seat is good. Parking garage is next door, but it can fill up quickly.
All things considered, Charleston Music Hall was great. Employees were very nice and knew what they were doing. Only negative part was the two ladies at will call were a bit rude when it came to VIP check-in. Kept telling us it would take a few more minutes and to wait outside. This happened at least 3 times.
Loved the fast response of the staff. They were helpful in helping us get seated. The venue was clean and over all it was a great experience.
Awesome venue! Big enough to fit a decent audience, but small enough to remain quaint, and allow for an intimate experience. Among the many amazing workers I came across, Matthew from security was phenomenal. Was very helpful in answering any questions and directing me to where I needed to go. I will definitely be back for more concerts in the future!!
Charleston Music Hall is a great place to see music acts up close and personal. It is a smaller venue with great acoustics in a great downtown location. Plenty of nearby parking and restaurants up and down King Street. Weve enjoyed many great national acts over the past few years and they seem to be attracting more each year.
First time there and it was amazing. The show was amazing and the seats were quite comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely go again to another show.
Charleston Music Hall is the perfect intimate venue. Big enough for a crowd but small enough to have a great energy. Being able to buy a bottle of wine to keep at your seat helps, too! Love this place.
This is a really neat place to see live music! The venue is smaller and intimate, and the sound is great! Its also in a feat location downtown for food and drinks before or after shows.
Freaking awesome! I would rate this place 10 stars! Clean, convenient ladies room. Excellent employees available if you need assistance finding your seat. Sound was amazing.
Recorded music not great but artist at piano was terrific. Good placement er not for handicapped seating. Clean bathrooms. A tight squeeze entering bar and snack area.
There are no bad seats. Acoustics are wonderful. The show calendar has something for everyone, but we would enjoy all. I highly recommend the Charleston Music Hall.
Just saw Kathleen Madigan show! She is as great a comedian as ever! 90 minutes touching on every topic you can imagine and had everyone laughing out loud!
Nice venue. Sound is good, its on the small side, and a bit sterile, but setup like a bigger place with upper balcony seating. Bar drinks were not a deal but not ours control either.
Great little venue. Accoustis were good and the show was great. Really enjoyed ourselves
Saw our granddaughter in a ballet/dance production of Cinderella here. Nice place with good seating. The folks here were super nice and greeted us very nicely.
We saw the Christmas variety show and our whole family loved it. The kids (9 and 10) loved it too.
You can see the stage great from any seat in the house! Great acoustics and very comfortable!
The Charleston music Hall is amazing! Aside from its beautiful architecture, it is the perfect venue for a concert. The sound is phenomenal, especially from the balcony. My sister-in-law took me to see Gavin DeGraw for my birthday last Thursday, I was blown away,!!!. Definitely check it out
Awesome venue for a concert. No such thing as a bad seat here. Sound is always good. Seats are pretty comfortable. Sell beer and wine too.
We just got thrown out of the Charleston music hall PMJ concert pit area for....DANCING! What a joke! They said at the beginning of the concert to have fun and seats were merely a suggestion. We were asked to leave and threatened to be areested because it was a seated venue Were they going to arrest us for excessive happiness? If i could give 0 stars I would! Will never be back. If you need a pic of 2 girls being handled by a bouncer for dancing get with me I got the looser since he walked up while i was taking a pic. Thanks for touching me jackass!
Great venue to see a live show! Not a bad seat in the house.
Great classic venue. Intimate. Pro-tip: you can buy a bottle and take it to your seat.
Possibly one of the best sounding venues I ever saw a concert at. Even the opening acts sounded Crystal clear.
This a great venue. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Note the front row seats are not comfortable, reserve 2nd row and back. Your bum will thank you later.
Never a bad seat! Loved the last performance!
Visited Charleston in April 2019 & bought advance tickets to Boney James show. This music house is a very nice place. I made note that so many patrons came to the show dressed very nicely. Had fun at the show, some getting up to dance with the performer as he came into the audience. Sound system was perfect, seats comfy. This place has STYLE!
Ive seen several shows there in different locations throughout and there doesnt appear to be a bad seat in the venue. The acoustics are great for live concerts.
Nice venue in historic downtown Charleston. Plenty of dining options nearby and this venue offers good selection of wine and beer inside. Seats somewhere around 1000, not a bad seat in the house. We discovered a new to us bluegrass act, Town Mountain, during our initial visit. Glad we went!
Great smaller venue to be close to the acts and view the performance in an intimate setting.
Amazing experience seeing some incredible singer/songwriters. Very accommodating for my husband’s power wheelchair. we ate at Coast before the show, and parked in the parking lot that Hall’s shares. very easy. very decent selection of beer and wine at the show. we will def go back. we sat in row 5 of section b. seats 17-20.
Beautiful venue... Not a bad seat in the house.
Went on a field trip with my daughter to see The Princess and the Pea. Great atmosphere and good seats all around.
Great, intimate venue.
Their website is confusing. First it says you can bring outside food then later it says no outside food. When we went they enforced no outside food. The place wasnt too big so it was nice to not be too far from the stage. You can tell its an old building kinda has that old mildewy smell.
Tommy Emmanuel was fabulous as usual! Very quaint venue!
Great venue with the best sound quality. Saw Kris Kristofferson.
First time going there. Very impressed. Went to the Mavericks concert. Theater is old but has been updated which makes it quite appealing. Great sound and seating. People who work there very friendly and helpfull.
Beautiful theatre, great venues, FUN times!!!
Not a bad seat in this venue. Walking distance to food.
Amazing performances. I cant wait to go back there and see more things.
Amazing venueThey even let you take whole bottles of wine to your seat which is unheard of for all of the venues Ive been too. Saw blues traveler. Great show. Comfy seats. Balcony view is awesome.Good times for sure.
Buying tickets from Charleston Music Hall direct was easy. Christine was great!
Great venue that attracts some really interesting shows. My favorite part about Charleston Music Hall is the size. Its big enough that larger acts can perform there, but also small enough to feel like youre not too far from the action. They have a small concession that serves drinks, and the prices very reasonable.
Excellent acoustics, great sight lines, comfortable seats, wide range of performances and presentations. A true gem of the Charleston music scene.
It is an amazing place because my granddaughter performed there. It is a lovely theatre with good visability, excellent lighting and comfortable seating. Charleston is a romantic and historic city and the Charleston Music Hall is just one more beautiful contribution this lovely city has to offer.
The music was awesome, the talent, costumes and comedy routines were so good.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this venue! fantastic shows and friendly staff all over security to stage and management. box office folks are awesome the always help and follow up if need be!!!!
Great show. Charlton Singleton was amazing as always.
Ive been to several shows here. Its a great venue. Thus trip was to see The Mavericks. We love these guys. Great show!
What a great venue!
Band was outstanding
Never been here before. But it was a great place. Dont think any seat you had would be a bad one. Will go back again.
Great little venue. Not a bad seat in the place
Had a very enjoyable evening of live music with a local band!
Seen 2 performances, recently Pink Floyds Laser Show. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was Awesome!!
We went to see their Women On... musical series, which started in 2015. We saw Women on Zeppelin. All I can say is Wow! If I lived in Charleston, I would go to all of these events to see their interpretations on each artist/group that they decide to do. They killed it with Zeppelin! The woman (Adams) who sang The Rain Song was phenomenal! All the women were awesome! Such an inspiring and rocking night. CMH seems to have a lot on its schedule thats not just music. Theres something for everyone and its very reasonably priced, too.
Another great show by Sail On
Second year for one of my kids graduation from high school. I am pleased with the way everything went
Front row seats, was great. Can not wait till On the Border comes back to Charleston. They rock.
Saw a great show. Acoustics are nice. It was a lityle hot though.
This place is great. You will have no complaints from me. We went for the sing along of the Greatest Showman. That place was packed.
Nice venue. Enjoyed a concert by The Mavericks and had a great time. Stayed at the Hampton Inn right next door. Very convenient
Great venue but subdued crowd. Made for intimate music, not really conducive to high energy music like JBT. More like acoustic shows.
Wonderful place for date or a small show!
Average place for s show.As commented on by so many others, the staff is magnificent, friendly and just sweet and southern. But that doesnt make up for the lousy acoustics especially when sitting below the balcony. The facility should but in some sound dampeners on the back walls of the lower level to keep the crowd noise from washing out the reason you are here: the concert. The reflective sound makes for a horrible listening experience.Highly recommend if you are not able to get in the front sections (PIT, A, B, C, or E) that you get balcony seats. C, D, and E rear will get you a lot of reflective noise off the back wall and side doors).Again, pleasant experience if not for the acoustic issues.
Saw Ilza (comedian) show here. The place was smaller than I expected but super cute and in downtown Charleston. Definitely arrive early and find a parking garage!
A historic building with class and sophistication. No seat is a bad seat.
Very nice acoustics! Seating is very well placed throughout the whole place! And they were jund enough to host our Christmas Eve Church services! Great group of people made the whole thing very enjoyable and relaxing! Last year we came and listened to a group of singers that was just as well orchestrated as tonights.
It was well worth the cost. Great and very entertaining.
Always a cool experience to see any performance in this building. Ive worked a few shows and always had a great time.
I was only in there buying tickets today but weve been there several times. Its a nice stage theater in the heart of Charleston. We try to see the Charleston Christmas Show every year. It always helps get us in the Christmas spirit!
One of the best concert venues ever.
Went to see a podcast show and I couldnt bring in a purse unless it was clear. Its like you dont want my money. The line to get a drink cut across the lobby, and trying to stand at the merch table or exit the venue after the show meant being constantly jostled and bumped by the undirected throng of people.
