Its close now because of the covid, út normálny a Great show!
Had a wonderful time at the show tonight. We found the theater just walking around in town. Dropped in and met Eric, a great guy who works at the theater and was assistant director of the current show. Eric gave us a tour, including the rehearsal space, and was a wealth of knowledge of the local theater scene. We grabbed two tics for the show and will definitely be back in the future
I attended two performances of Head Over Heels and it was very obvious that everyone involved put their hearts and souls into the production! The sets, acting, singing, choreography, the BAND!, sound, lights, EVERY THING was great. Very enjoyable and fun. I will definitely attend more performances here. (I may not have agreed with the politics of this particular show, but it was tastefully and professionally done). Thank you Footlight Players!!
These talented performers delighted me when I was voluntold to be in their edition of Putnam County Spelling Bee, and the atmosphere is classic and timeless.
Saw Into the Woods with my beautiful daughter, had a great time! Wonderful show!
See outstanding theatre in a piece of beautiful history. How can you beat that?! --and currently Footlight Players is offering a wonderful deal of tickets, fabulous dinner, and parking for $150.
We just returned from seeing Hair. The music and message still resonate. The powerful lyrics and spirited voices filled the room and building with so much heart. Despite being a small theatre, seating was comfortable and well thought out. Everyone has proximity to the stage. Not a bad seat in the house. Talented team of acting and singers. Fun that the audience gets some interaction from the players.I look forward to the next show. Thank you for an amazing experience.
We had a wonderful evening! I am sure we qill go back again and again!
This used to be a fun, entertaining, community theater. Now... not so much. The last production was promoting a radical, left wing agenda and we were embarrassed to attend with friends. We are season ticket holders but we are asking for a refund.I would not count on the description of the performance as published to represent truth. The last one, for instance, had nothing about what we actually saw. Since they are doing adaptations you cannot even count on knowing what to expect by knowing the original play.
I just saw Head over Heels and oh my!! It was fantastic! The acting, singing and dancing was great and the costumes and music were so fun!!
Wonderful atmosphere. The employees were very nice and the actors/ actresses were excellent. Everything seamed real and emotional. Loved Death of a salesman .
Ive been to two shows here. Both were great. I love the cozy theater. Its an intimate space which adds to the nice atmosphere.
A delightful surprise! Local actors with great voices.A small theater with terrific acoustics. Wed highly recommend it.
A real treasure in Downtown Charleston!
I was here the other day for a play with my daughters school. They put on a production of Shrek, The Musical. It was adorable. Great for kids. The theater was clean and everyone was friendly. Would recommend.
What If? Productions is now based here as well and is fantastic!
Went to the April 29, 2019 performance of Miss Firecracker with 5 guests. A marginal play and cast. The theater was so cold, we couldn’t wait for the intermission. When we and others complained, the staff was either clueless of what to do or demonstrated they didn’t care. With the otherwise vibrant Charleston theater scene, we’re not going back here.
Great play.. theatre has musty smell.. not a bad seat in the house
Beautiful old theatre and great play...The Bluest Eyes
An awesome little space to perform in, and to watch shows at. Small, but clean and cute. Love supporting the local arts.
The 39 Steps was a great production. The actors did a superb job. A wonderful night!
Lovely theater experience, actors show passion for their craft
Been here a few times for shows. Great theatre, in the historic district.
Great locat theater
Fun play to see done with local talent. Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
The staff is friendly and the layout is great. I saw Lady Day at the Emersons Grill& Bar and enjoyed every minute.
Phenomenal theatre and what a great show! The Adams Family was so funny my face hurts from laughing so much. Very well cast! Go see it!
Comfortable small theatre. Plenty of leg-room space between rows.
Excellent performers, great venue.
Perfect venue! Not too big, not too small, easy to get around. Very nice and historical theater. Opened in 1931. Not a bad seat in the house!
Ovation Tickets is whom they use to buy tickets online. Somehow they double booked my seats and I was told by the director that ovation tickets would make it right and refund my money and ovation tickets blame the theater. Have NOT received a refund and was mortified at how they acted when I was in line to pick up my tickets before the show they said they couldnt find me and get back behind the line so they could take care of the line. My total purchase was 226.00 dollars . Nobody wants to take ownership of this mistake. Pathetic.
This is a wonderful, old and historic theatre located in the French Quarter of Charleston. Viewed a great and entertaining production of Lend Me A Tenor. Comfortable seats, friendly staff. Simply, a very enjoyable experience.
Fun musical: spelling bee
Went to this quaint, lovely theater for a Spoletto sponsored show... The History of Rock and Roll. My sister and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly on her birthday...
Brought a hot date to Singin in the Rain. It was fantastic - very true to the original but also added some elements of pizazz and flavor. I got a lot of stares for the tux though; apparently I am out of fashion.
This is a really cool theatre. Love the variety!
The talent in the quiet hidden away theater is worthy of much bigger stages. The plays they offer are provocative and well staged with an emphasis on the acting and not filling the set with distractions.
Have only been to the footlights players theatre for the Mr. MUSC pageants, but its a really cool place with great staff!
Whenever I am in town I go here for a show and its never disappointed. My favourite theatre in downtown charleston. I would highly recommend it.
Every play I have seen here has been fantastic. A hidden gym in downtown.
A Great local theater group. The plays are always funny, well staffed, and everyone is so nice. The door staff to the consession everyone makes your night a little better
Charming local theater. They did performance of the Adams family, oldest community theater in Charleston.
Perfect for a date night. Great show.
Wonderful show. Great staff
Love Footlights...didnt love wedding singer
Great show!!
Sweet intimate venue in the heart of the French Quarter ! Beautiful locale
IMO not very good
Although its small, the productions are always great. I might be biased, because my sister has been in a fair number of plays there!
Dont go here that often, but when I do it is a fun time. Had to stand on long lines a few times, but on the whole, this is a good place to watch a show and the shows they get are usually worth the ticket.
Great theatre in the heart of Charleston. Only thing I would change is for them to add cup holders to the chairs.
Just the right size
Excellent community theater...since 1931!
Queen Street Harmony series is great.
Wonderful place, lovely staff, and excellent shows
It was,extremely cold inside
Quality shows at excellent prices in a quaint setting! What more could you ask for!
