Great park, especially in the heat of summer. It sits in a little valley, there is lots of shade and almost always a breeze. Nice play structures, a basketball court and an open field to play in. They have added bathrooms which are really well kept, as is the playground. It also sits on a stretch of Greenway connected to kids play together park. Only downside there is limited parking however, Ive rarely seen it very crowded.

Just found this park and its great! Had a seesaw - no one has those anymore! And rubber matting throughout and a sandbox. Would be nice if bathrooms were unlocked during operating hours...

Really cool playground with a sandpit and a smaller kids area too. They have the rubber padding all over the area too! Nice to walk on.

Very nice park in the heart of a quiet neighborhood...definitely needs better lighting around it. Couldnt hurt to have some around the basketball court as well.

I am so happy that they installed a bathroom. Sandboxes. Multiple play structures. Basketball courts. Walking path. Stream. And a field for soccer or yoga classes ;) it is a lot of fun.

Very clean and silent playground with a lot of interesting things to do

This is our favorite park in Cary. It is mostly shady, and it has everything a kid could want. Two play structures, a sandbox, swings, see saw, and more. It is not usually crowded and when it is, there is still lots of space for everyone. And it has the squishy, springy ground safer for falls. There is also a beautiful grassy field. We love it.

I stumbled upon this park on my search for something that was on my way home, and Im so glad I did! It is incredible — such a variety of fun equipment (play sets, swings, sandbox, interactive structures) for a wide range of ages. And it is very shady, something I really appreciate on a hot and sunny day! There is just street parking, but there was plenty of room on our morning weekday visit.

Parks with shade are at a premium in the summer when you have wee laddies (or lassies). Nice playground, full basketball court, lots of trees and a few water fountains. Nuff said.

Small but a safe and nice place for kids to play and adults to take a walk to on the nearby trail!

Nice park, good playground. Only problem was the bathrooms were locked! (Its Apr 22) And of course the kids had to pee 10 minutes after we got there.

Great park nestled along a large neighborhood, older but yet plenty of things to do for kids of all ages, sand pit, basketball court and a walking trail around park. Gotta love the squeaky sounds of the older parks.... Just takes me back! Fully functional i must add and a nice area for picnics on the grass.

MacDonald Woods is a wonderful secluded park with a playground, basketball court, open grassy area, and greenway access. Trees provide excellent shade. I will probably bump this review to 5 stars once they add a bathroom.

Nice size park, but there is no bathroom which is hard when you dont live that close and your little ones need to go.

Very cute and well maintained play area/park. The grounds around the playsets are rubberized adding a nice comfortable feel underfoot. Theres a couple swing sets, two age-appropriate playset areas and a sandpit. There is also a separate area for sitting/eating. Biggest downfall is lack of restrooms. Nowhere to wash hands or relieve tiny bladders - bring a potty seat or teach your kids to pop a squat. Otherwise a nice place to spend an hour of free time.

Very nice park with a short hiking trail. It is in the middle of a neighborhood so there is not a lot of parking. It’s also near the cary greenway.

Good park to bring your toddlers to middle school age kids. There are also basketball courts for older kids.Its also very conveniently located right in the middle of a walk/bike trail.

Small, but good mix of playground structures for kids of all ages with an open field for various athletic activities. Trees give ample shade.
