This is a wonderful multifaceted park. The playground is great for both young toddlers and older climbers and features several slides built into hills. There is also a fun climbing rock, lots of open space for play or flying kites. There are sand volleyball courts, basketball courts and a very nice pavilion. The bathrooms are large and fairly clean. The park also is an access point for a great stretch of Greenway that brings you to Lake Crabtree. Even when the park is crowded its large enough that one is able to have some space. Its also surrounded by greenery and even at midday its possible to find some shade. There is ample parking. This park is definitely worth checking out.
The park has so many amenities that make it easily utilized and fun for all age groups. We enjoyed walking the paths, playing on the swings, and sitting at some of the picnic tables for a snack.
Me and my son love this playground! The slides are his favorite. I love the shade from the trees. My husband and brother enjoy the soccer and basketball courts/fields. I love how spacious it is.
Nice to take the kiddos. Paved trail for my younger son to ride his bike. Nice and hilly for good walks.
Nice, uncrowded park. It has a large picnic shelter with a bunch of tables. Nice sand volleyball courts. Basketball courts.
Great place for different types of sports wish the basketball court was larger though
We Really enjoyed basketball, hiking and swinging .
Best park in Triangle. Truly what suburban should be. It has near perfect interlacing of commercial, residential, and park development. Trails to walk and cycle. Lakes. Awesome
This park has so many impressive amenities. It is certainly fun for the whole family! We came early in the morning and had plenty of space to spread out and play
We liked the playground and big slides. Not huge but enough to enjoy !
Good place for family time with nice Greenways, kids play ground and more
Beautiful park with lots of trails. Great for the whole family! North Cary Park is a great place for all ages and for pets. There are beautiful trails for walking, hiking, and biking. There’s a lot of places to stop along the way and sit at a bench or to lay out a blanket and chairs and have a picnic. I would say that the walking is easy as the trails within the park itself are paved. There are additional trails that connect from North Cary Park to other trails/areas around Cary, so the opportunity to walk further and explore more and go for longer distances is certainly there. I’ll bring my dog and we’ll walk 3-5 miles and at various times we will see folks running, riding their bikes, kayaking, playing at the playground, rock climbing, playing volleyball, and/or playing soccer. There is also a covered pavilion you could use for a bigger gathering. Beside the covered pavilion are the restrooms. The park is well maintained and it is not uncommon to see someone from the town at the park early in the mornings working on keeping it so beautiful. Very friendly. It is definitely a very family and pet friendly location and I am very grateful to have such a beautiful area of nature accessible to Cary and its residents
Loved all the trails. Especially the one that goes to Crabtree Lake.
This park and playground is really great. Huge sandpit, big slides, swings, and fun jungle gym. My daughter (3yrs) loves it and I see lots of older kids enjoying it too. The trails through the woods are really nice too. One of our favorite playgrounds.
Good place for running, basketball and soccer
Peaceful and beautiful place to stroll and enjoy the sunset
Great sand volleyball courts and field to be play grass in
Dog led us here on one of our walks. SO glad she did. Had no idea what was right behind our house. Beautiful trails, tons of friendly families along the way and numerous park and trail features. We’ll be walking here much more often now that I know what all is back there.
This is a beautiful Park however it is inundated with bicyclers so if youre a walker its not the greatest place to go! if you have a bicycle and you want to place to ride then this is definitely the place. But I like to walk and this is not a preferred Park for that.
Rocks to climb... Nice walking trail... Bike riding availability... Volleyball nets with sand and all... & a basketball courtDown side-- we saw a copperhead while we were there and animal control came out and tossed it into the woods a couple of feet away from the kiddie play place because thats their habitat.Be careful and watch out for your children.
This is the park closest to my home. The drive is short and there is always parking. There are two basketball courts, 2 beach volleyball courts, a picnic area, two play areas and swings with a relatively spacious field where various activities can be done and we play futbol.
This place brings back so much memories
Greenway nice n shady
Beautiful park with plenty of walking trails.
Great place for kids. In the summer there is not so hot because of the trees. You can find a shadow there that is very important in NC.
It is clean, green, and has something for everyone! Several small separate playgrounds for kids of all ages with slides and swings. There are 3 volleyball courts, 2 Basketball courts, a small rock wall, a soccer field, and a large picnic area with shelter. It has public bathrooms and water fountains. Also, for those of you who enjoy Pokemon and Wizards Unite, there are plenty of opportunities to play.
This is a nice park to take a walk, play sand volleyball, practice rock climbing skills, ride a bike or go for a jog.
Perfect place for take a walk
Lots of different activities for all ages. Volleyball courts(beach), playground for the kids. Couple of covered picnic areas. Public restrooms. All in all, a nice place to hang out for the day.
It is incredibly spacious...such a gorgrous place to play basketball, tennis, soccer or go for a jog. I walked along the trail and brought my journal. Absolutely loved it...I will be back!
Ive only seen kids playing on these rocks before, but today a real climber was here getting a workout. Amazing what you can actually do with this!
Very family friendly environment!! I see lots of dog walkers, familys hiking, and bike riders. There is a variety of trails from woodsy hiking trails, to asphalt trails. Some of the trails are more advanced while others are more laid back, so there is a trail for everyone!! I suggest going in the morning before 10:00 am, because afterwards it gets a lot hotter. If you are going for a walk after ten, around the afternoon, be sure to bring water and a hat!
Amazing Playgrounds for kids and teens. Great Sand Volleyball courts. They are all very well kept. The trails are short and sweet but do go on for a ways in one area. Fun rocks to climb on and overall a place to have a few good hours of fun and exercise.
The sand courts are in very nice condition. Able to adjust net height as well as court size. Very nice playground area, and nice and clean restrooms. Plenty of outdoor benches perfect for a family picnic, and lots of open grass area for kids to play in. A nice walking trail throughout the park, great for walking a dog or for jogging. All around a great park with plenty of things to do.
Great park to take kids...or just to go for a walk. I would have given it five stars but for the bikers on the Black Creek Greenway...they ride extremely fast which makes it very dangerous for small children on the same path ( there is only one path). Its a beautiful walk other than the bikers.
Nice Park with a little bit of everything, trails, basketball, beach volleyball ball, and a decent amount of picnic tables...
Nice place for walking and jogging during non winter. Good slides, swings and play area for kids also. There are other courts for basketball and handball too.
I like this park a lot. My kids love it. The new rock climbing wall is an awesome addition. Its a big park and spread out with tons of trails to walk or ride. The sand pit is great for the kids. They also have volleyball and basketball and a soccer field.
Great place for kids. Nice trail for hikes and bikes.
Good park for anyone, rock climbing wall and playground available.
Good familiar atmosphere, hiking trails, rock wall, sports fields, volleyball and basketball courts, picnic area
I love this place, I miss being able to go here to walk for exercise and play with my kids & grandkids.
Beach volleyball courts are top notch and well maintained. Shower there too for when youre done playing. Easy parking. Courts can be reserved ahead of time for a small fee.
A nice park with a long shaded paved path. Theres a playground for kids and nice bathrooms and water fountains.
Love it but the equipment is closed
The big rock in the middle of the park is the best attraction foe older kids. The playground is more for chikdren under 5
A Dope place to exercise
Good for walking
We went to the playground and didnt really like it. We have a toddler and though they are toddler activities they are not as many as other parks in the area. There is also a very large sandbox, which may be a plus to some, but we do not allow our child to play in sandboxes as they are essentially outdoor toilets for animals. The size created a big distraction as it was difficult to redirect her to other activities. Not a bad park, but not best for our needs.
Fantastic park. Great parking. Wonderful views. Visit this one today!
This review speaks to the sand volleyball courts. There are lights for the courts. The (single) outdoor shower between the courts and the parking lot is appreciated. However, I wish the lower shower head was a couple feet higher for cleaning not only feet, but also legs. The adjacent restroom facility is always clean.
Well maintained play structures, soccer field, walking paths, volleyball courts, and last but not least, a super fun climbing rock for all ages. Plenty to do here!
This park is our family go-to. Paved trails, rock climbing wall, playground, volleyball and basketball. Great spot to get away.
Park has great fountain lights that are beautiful at night. There are several tables where you can sit, or you can sit along one of the ledges or benches in the park. You can play a game of table tennis, Foosball or just stroll around the park. It is beautiful.
Cary park is good for sports will go every week
Very nice play area for kids, bouldering wall and lots of walking.
Great place to walk your dog. Quiet with lots of paths both paved and natural. Plenty of pokestops and a gym for those who play. Separate area for children with swings and slides. Picnic tables with grills too. Perfect place for family fun.
My favorite part is the rock climbing!
Big, multi-sport field, childrens playground, basketball court, volleyball, picnic shelter, lots of open space, some wooded areas, paved hiking and biking trails, connects to the Black Creek Greenway, adequate parking most of the time, bathrooms!Downside? The trails in the park are on a progressively steep hill heading down to the ravine where the Black Creek Greenway is. Thats good if you want exercise, not so good if you just want a casual stroll.
Hiked Black Creek Greenway from Dynasty Drive to the iron bridge and back with Rev. Rob. Very nice morning stroll.
Loved it and has a place to fill up your water bottle one of those onmpcate
Always friendly ppl with friendly kids. Clean and safe.
Nature at its best! Green Clean and Serene.
Playground, well-kept trails and connects with longer freeway. Great place to walk or bike.
Went to play sand volleyball. There are 4 sand courts available with lights. Can reserve or first come first serve.
Ideal for a match of volley ball and stroll in the woods...a good place for a get together...
Cute little park with volleyball courts, basketball courts and clean restroom facilities. They have a walking trail that goes around the woods and the parking is usually easy.
Excellent park, great kids play area, excellent walking trails connecting to Black Creek Trail, small rock climbing area, grassy play field, covered picnic area, sand volleyball, restrooms and water fountain, wooded areas make this park feel very peaceful.
Great place to exercise or just play at the playground or volley ball courts.
Excellent bike trails and a great place to take your kids
I grew up going to this park and I still love going there and walking the trails.
I love this park and the Greenway that runs through it, its awesome, I always like to walk towards Crabtree lake to enjoy a pleasant view from the wood deck.
Had a great time with my daughter the park was very clean and a lot to do
Great place for jogging and bike riding. Connects to Crabtee Lake.
Has a nice paved trail through the woods and across a creek and a pretty cool climbing rock, fun for a little bit older kids. There are areas to play in the water, which most kids love :). The play area is set up as 3 different sections and has some pretty unique slides. There is a soccer field, volleyball ball and basketball courts, and a nice picnic area. GREAT PARK!!
The trails connect you to other parks in a fabulous web of trails and greenways!
My grandkids love this park.
Beautiful place with lots to do. Walking trails for miles
Nice park with lots of walking trails and access to the greenways.
I run here every day, great trails
