What a nice park!!We were wandering Bremerton and discovered this park via Google. We were drawn in by the 9/11 memorial and walked the entire park just to check it out. Look forward to bringing the grandchildren out to that amazing play structure in the future. It feels safe and clean and has some pretty cool toys to play on!The entire park is waterfront and gets a nice breeze on a hot day. There isnt necessarily a swimming area but there is some pebble beaches better access down little dirt pads. Its salt water but you could probably cool off on a hot day.Theres also a boat launch.Several reservable picnic shelters as well.
As a most of my lifelong resident of Kitsap, I have seen our slice of the world improve. And Evergreen park is one of the more impressive improvements. The green scaping has been exceptional and the person who maintains it should get notice for such impressive and rich in every detail to give us all a jewel in our crown. Evergreen park has much more than ever before. Also, with the installed 9/11 memorial and relics that are such a great addition, the clever and beautifully unique the 9/11 story is laid out in the memorial itself is a reason in itself to visit. Do stand in the center of it. I said a little prayer outloud and it was most assuredly heard by my angels. Because of the formation of the memorial, a micro ampitheater has been created. For any outside occasions or just to gather with a friend to visit comfortabllly and with social distancing the simple and attractive wrapping sidewalk is a delight and can easily be the tour guide of the park.
Its an awesome place to sit back, have lunch and relax near the water.
Took my daughter here last Tuesday and the park was packed with people. Loads of kids having fun out in the sun. I love that the park is big and inclusive for all types of children. The ground of the park is made out of that AstroTurf grass type stuff and has a little bounce to it so kids dont get hurt if they fall. My favorite part of the whole park is the little corner store across the street. They sell ice cream cones there and are always super friendly whenever we visit. I will definitely be bringing my daughter back to this park!
Well maintained park on the waters edge. Boat launch, playground, and picnic tables. Clean restrooms, and lots of trees and green grass.
The wonderful park they keep it clean as a boat ramp you will not be disappointed
Clean, quiet, beautiful...but really surprised at how many people arent following social distancing and mask guidelines...but whatever. apparently the virus isnt important anymore.
Beautiful park. Had lunch by the water and the kids had a great time at the park.
Great place to take the family and kids to have a relaxing day at the park plus I have a good boat ramp and dock to jump off of and swim or to go fishing off of
Amazing park. Very impressive, clean. Nice shade, cool stuff for the kids and plenty of shade
Too many smokers. Smoking should be banned in the park. Clean air should be a right not a privilege.
Lovely park. Well maintained restrooms. Good spot for all ages and its large and well used! ADA access, boat ramp, dogs on leashes, scenic views, great play areas including hoops. Winner all around!
Its is a great park clean. The downside is some of the homeless people there who are yelling and cussing sleeping on the benchs
It is a fun place to have family time. You are able to play at the park or go look by the shore for rocks or shells.
It was a privilege and an honor to have taken part in the Kitsap 9/11 Memorial project committee.
Great park, open green space, basketball, playground, and boat launch.
Evergreen is a beautiful park ! I loved that the ground was a composite turf to not hurt the littles when they take a tumble. The playground is nicely spread out so the kids arent bumping into each other. There is also a ton of green space and shade to have yourself a picnic and enjoy the area. Will deffinatley be back !
Very nice place, with good landscapes.
Great place to relax. Dont forget the ice cream at CJs Market ;)
Great place to take family and friends for parties and get togethers
They need to put the swings back on... otherwise great park...
Very clean,so peaceful
Lots of room to do your thing. Really nice playground for kids and big open areas. The bathrooms arent too bad. They are fairly clean and well stocked.
Love it! My 4 Year old loves this park so much it reminds us the one back home in Chicago. He had a chance he would spend hours here. They have bathrooms which is a plus!
Nice fields, clean restrooms, and nice playground.
Best place to walk your dog
Beautiful park. Has a lovely place for the kids to play. Also has a nice walking path.
Beautiful park with great views!
I was thrilled with the kids play area. I took my five year old niece and she had a blast!
Its a safe and family friendly park
I can tell that the city is trying to keep this park clean and safe. It is well maintained besides the empty beers, hypodermic needles, cigarette butts and trash that the homeless leave behind. Homeless people can be seen on any given day throughout the day all around the park area. I feel uneasy even during daylight hours walking my dog. It’s sad because kids need a safe place they can play and be kids!
This is a nice park in a pretty nice area! Their playground is pretty nice and with the water nearby, you can get a good view of the water and even explore a beach. Very nice atmosphere, but the downside is trying to get there. The roads leading to it are rather unfortunate
Standing the test of time. Located in West Bremerton on the water this historic park still bodes lots of options. Covered areas get claimed fast. If youre having a birthday party of hosting a event you may want to get there early and post your stuff up. Forth of July this is the spot. Hundreds show up to light of there gear and spend the day. If you are in need of a place thats cost free and provides enjoyment this is it.
Very well maintained big park along the water. Has the most perfect super green grass with old trees naturally growing hee ad there throughout. This pa lovely rocky beach along the backside running the length of the park with abundance of small sealife including the little crabs that live under the barnacle covered rocks we all love to pick up and discover what is living beneath them. A very beautiful, calm and relaxingn park to visit with or without kids.
Beautiful trees and water. How can you go wrong?
I love taking my kids to this park, there is plenty of playground for many kids. If you want a break take one of the paths along the water front. It does get busy during the Farmers Market.
I used to babysit for a family that lived about 2 minutes from Evegreen Park, and I loved the huge amount of time I got to spend there! The fact that it is an inclusive, accessible park is really neat to me - I appreciate when the county makes an effort in that way. The play structures are unique and fun to look at, and there is room for everyone to play, even on extremely crowded days - and BOY can it get crowded! My one complaint, and the reason this park only gets 4 out of 5 stars, is that the bathroom situation is appalling. I know it is a common problem in park bathrooms, but it is cold, dark, and filthy. Only one of the two stalls had a lock over the course of the two years I visited the park. There are no paper towels or hand dryers. The changing table is gross and also cannot accommodate bigger children. The 4 y/o I babysat was literally too scared to use the bathroom there. A park can only be so accessible if the bathroom isn’t in shape to be used by disabled children and their families, and this bathroom absolutely is not.Outside of that, this is a great park with a lovely waterside view and beach access on low tide days, and I would recommend it!
Its a good park. Big play area for kids and covered areas for events. Sits on the water. Be careful around low tide because it really stinks. Also, theres the farmers market every Thursday in the summer time which is nice. I love the vendor that sells fresh berries.
This park got a much needed face lift! The playground is wonderful, built to be accessible to almost anyone. There are some really unique features, including a see saw that can accommodate a wheelchair. There are picnic shelters, the bathrooms are clean, particularly for park bathrooms, and a basketball court. Great spot!
Farmers market on Thursdays 4 to 7pm. Great place for dogs. Playground and awnings for barbecues first come first serve. Horseshoe pits and sandy volleyball court available. Bring horseshoes or volleyball. Parking limited public restrooms available, locked at 8pm.
People on the playground when coronavirus going about isnt the smartest thing in my eyes
Awesome place to hangout. Walked the dog, let the grandson play, and plenty of open area for him to run his RC car!
They need to bring the swings back!
Still bremerton. Been going down hill with the extra unneeded people n drugs. Sad it is a fantastic place for BBQ and kids
Evergreen is my sons favorite place to play. So glad its open again.
I love this place 1millon stars!!!
The playground here is super fun. My son calls it the spiny playground, if the weathers nice it will be crowded. The shop across the street sells ice cream cones the are only a couple dollars.
Good place to take kids to play but crowded. And alot of people with dogs dont clean up after them so watch where you walk in the grass.
This is the best park in Bremerton. It is located right on the inlet and has an amazing view. It also has a fantastic, newly remodeled playground that is designed for children with disabilities (but is fun and useable for children of all abilities), covered areas with benches that are available to check out for parties, a volleyball and basketball court, the only free boat launch in the area, a wonderful 9/11 memorial, AND is home to a seasonal farmers market in the summer and early fall months. The entire park is designated as non-smoking. It is pet friendly, however it is not a dog park and animals are required to be on a leash.
For a place that people used to die a long time ago this park has sure came a long way.
We enjoy the walk
Wonderful place! Needs more waste containers and the people need to use them.
A nice place to sit in the grass and watch the boats pass by; it seemed to have a playground too.
The kiddo always has a blast here. Lots of playground and kids, always. Parking is rarely difficult. You have a boat launch and pier to one side, and a tiny convenience store with ice cream to the other. Lots of fun.
We loved it, 4 dachshunds and 1 Doberman ran and loved stretching their long and short legs.
Really great for water access, and has a very clean safe park.
Very nice park. Large. Walking path by water. Couple of covered areas. Playground. Couple of parking areas. And farmers market on Thursdays
Nice and clean, not usually busy, LGBT+ pride fest was fun. Some weird people running around, but nice area
Have adored this park since I was a toddler playing in the wading pool fit little ones. Yes..I KNOW theres no wading pool there now, but there WAS 50 years ago. Also at the Warren Ave Park, but they filled them in AGES and AGES ago. ^sigh*
Beautiful park.
Grand kids couldnt of had more fun at play ground.
Nice, well maintained park. Good facilities. It is pretty and has a nice view of the water.
Very beautiful park to visit and has a piece of the twin towers from 911
New and updated park. Really clean and the kids love it.
Good park, has everything but grills for good summertime fun
Great family park, my granddaughter loved it. So much kid friendly things to do cant wait to take her back.
Wonderful park took our grandkids there. Kids had a great time!
Great playground for any age child. Walking trails. Boat launch and beach. Wide open area to run. In the middle of a city, this park is an amazing escape!
It is very wheel chair accessable. Disability and handicap friendly. And if you just want to be a kid again the toys and swings can hold a lot of weight.
Like this park, cause I have a dog that loves going to the park for Walk and for her to sniff !!
Pretty decent park for an evening walk
Good parking even for handicap, nice playground for families and clean restrooms. If you need a store, theres the Deli across the street, walking by distance. Boat ramp and parking for them too.
Great Park! Right on the water. Good playground for kids. Rest room facilities.
Lots of fun park toys, big fields, big trees, basketball hoops, boat ramp, clean bathrooms
This park is peaceful as well as clean always...not to mention I even feel safe when I walk there during the late evenings. I feel like a kid all over again
Its a beautifully maintained park. Lots of space to roam and a wonderful playground for kids to play . The public bathrooms are clean with lovely artwork done by kids as part of the walls. Theres the great view of the water and a docking area for your boat .Its a great place to rent for events or a nice place to relax.
Beautiful, scenic, great fall colors, paved walkways, very well maintained, site of the Farmers market and plenty of other events yearly. Check out CJs, the local store right next to the playground area.
Theres music, show, and food. I love the place its in the water front. Theirs policemen protecting the area. Safe..
Nice place to walk and relax
A beautiful park, wide open design, the playground is wheel chair accessible. With all the swings and ramps for special needs children. Also spots to learn braille, and American sign language. Free parking, a nice over look of the sound.
Easy to walk path with a waterfront view and street access. Plenty of room for activities including basketball, volleyball, barbeques (multiple covered areas for gatherings) and a nice playground for the kids. One side of the park is across the street from a great local mini mart that sells amazing ice cream, prepared lunches, and take-home dinners made from scratch (evergreen market).
This is such a great park for kids! The playground equipment is well thought out and great for a range of ages. The turf on the playground is wonderful! No slivers or dust! There are also nice covered picnic areas and volley ball courts with sand. The paved walking path is nice for walking, running, strollers and bicycles. Great park!
Its good in the summer (especially 4th of July) and in the winter.
My boys live this park. It’s clean and the play area is great to where they can spend hours on the equipment. There are a couple of covered picnic areas for reservation if you plan to hold a party there too. Nice view of the water and there is a 9/11 memorial near by which I recommend everyone walk over to and view.
Huge park. Tons of spots to picnic, shoot some hoops, play games or even sit down at tables! Also has a very cool 9/11 memorial
Great views of the sound and amazing playground. Only downside is there is no shade on the playground.
This park has improved dramatically over the last few years! Awesome spot for a family bbq!
It was good. I was able to let my little minion of disaster run free without fear of the ungodly doom and destruction that lays in his wake when he lets loose. The soft ground was excellent for keeping my feet comfortable while I watched the living tornado wreck havoc. The pavilions are situated around the play area to provide shade during the raining fireballs and there is a trail if youd like to just walk like a zombie.
