I love the new section of the park. The new canopy, The Nest, is gorgeous. The new playground area is absolutely awesome. I highly recommend it if you have high energy kids who think they are little monkeys. This is the perfect place for climbing and play. Also, the old area of Robinson Preserve Park is gorgeous and enjoyable
This preserve feels like you’re In the middle of no where! My daughter and I rode our bikes around. The trails were well maintained and my young daughter had no problem racing around! There was wildlife everywhere, including a huge flock of American White Pelicans! We went on a weekday but there was hardly anyone else there. This is definitely going to be my top go to park/preserve for my get in nature therapy!
Love this place! Plenty of parking, restrooms, water areas, and everything is always so clean! There are plenty of paths to take and you are guaranteed to see wildlife. The lookout tower is the best out of all the preserves in the GTB area. Make sure you wear sunscreen and a hat- there is not a ton of shade.
Improvements are underway so it will be amazing in a few months. Bring a kayak or SUP, a bike, walking shoes, a hat, food, water.... A new part, under construction again, has the best walking surface and enticing paths and landscaping. There’s a playground beneath a gathering space that will be great when open again, although a little out of the way. Many bridges, a tall towers with incredible view, wide ways, narrow ways, birds and crabs. The main park needs bathrooms and water and larger sun-shelters but I think only the new part is getting improved. That leaves the main part more authentic and untouched.
The walk was great and the view from the tower was fantastic. Saw tons of fish jumping. Many different types of birds including rosete spoonbills.
Well maintained preserve. Not much shade so it’s way too hot on a summer day. Sometimes gets really crowded too. Probably nicer on a cool day
I always enjoy Robinson for an easy walk to switch up from my normal. Easy, mostly paved, shell, and the new softer wood track. lots of little off shoots on the northern loop through the mangroves- this area has shade. The observation deck has great views and makes for great sunset pics! the paved trail from front gate to manatee, and the raised track have little shade. Dogs welcome on leash. Paddle board and kayaking launch near main entrance with hose to rinse.
Great trails for running, walking, biking! Lots of birds to watch. We love coming here when we are in Florida. Someday Id like to try kayaking
Great trials to walk. Very relaxing
This is a beautiful park with a lot of nice boardwalks. A great place to go kayaking with lots of marked landing areas. Plenty of parking.
I absolutely love Robinson Preserve. The new part that they have recently finished are exactly what families with children needed. Theres a rope bridge, slide, a raised up trail, and more to come. Im so greatful that there are such beautiful parks in Bradenton.
Beautiful natural area for walking, running, biking. Many scenic water views. However, take sunscreen and plenty of water, very limited shade on the trail.
This nature preserve is beautiful and the paths are well maintained. It was a little busy as others seemed to have similar needs to leave their quarantined house for a spell. People were good about keeping their social distance but we decided to go in the afternoon next time to hopefully avoid the morning enthusiasts exercising in the cooler air.
This is tranquil and enjoyable place for an early morning walk. It is hidden jewel in the Northwestern area of Bradenton
Beautiful land, hidden from the wold I would of never have found the park if it wasn’t for google maps. Love adventure and trails so visiting here was wonderful! Lovely to hike when there no real place to hike in Fl near by that’s like a mini escape from the city
Took a hike here while visiting from California. This preserve is the most well maintained county park Ive ever been to! So many things to see and very quiet and relaxing. I am not much of a bird watcher but you cant help but enjoy seeing all the different kinds. This is a great place to have a picnic at the waterfront!
Wow!!! The Canopy Experience for our kids was absolutely AMAZING! Perfect shade for the children. We will definitely be coming back soon ️
Great opportunity to experience nature. Walk, run, hike, bike, kayak. You will need more than one trip to explore all the trails. There are no kayak rentals at this location. Contact the preserve for more information. The trails are well groomed and marked. Be sure to bring drinking water. Great opportunity for photographs. Parking has never been a problem for us.The view from the observation deck was amazing. Walking through the mangroves, sea grape, marshes, and native plants was fascinating.
Beautiful area to go for a walk, run, or bike ride. I suggest checking out the view from the tower.
Amazing what they have done here all you could hear are the little children goingoh my gosh & this is so cool great job Manatee
Omg, theres so much to say about this place. So many things to do. First off we ended up going to check out the swamp like areas, then we went to go visit the tower to look out on the entire preserve. Which includes the bay and the bridge to Tampa. Definitely a must see for anyone who even remotely likes to visit or hike cool trails!
For a Bradenton area park: very nice and spacious. Have slowly been getting some overhead tree growth, that now provides shade along the paved bike/ walking path that winds its way ...all the way to SR64. Not much in the way of drinking fountains except for the entrance where a doggie fountain can be found! Beware of pet heatstroke, because full sun is abound! Four stars for Bradenton: as opposed to if you were comparing it to smokie national Park it would rate a one star so its all a matter of perspective Enjoy and have a great day getting your much needed ties to mother earth !!!
Went for a nice walk this morning at the new section at the south entrance. We got some beautiful pictures of the area including some spoonbills. Im a little sorry that I had to retire from running because the path would have great to run on. Plenty on parking and wide open spaces for social distancing right now or just getting some quality alone time.
Great hiking and biking trails. Nature abounds with birds, fish, and other wildlife. Free admission and bathroom facilities near parking on north entrance. Some trails flood at high tide. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
The views were perfect, the exercise was fun, definitely recommend visiting this spot!
Beautiful natural place with great trails for walking and biking. Great views all around, especially the views from the tower. There is a section under construction, so a few trails are blocked off. Quite a beautiful place to visit!
Nice walk quite not crowded. Some wildlife about. Lenny the turtle red the Robin and Ralph the ostrich along the route. Very tranquil.
My troop used to come here and paddle out to the gulf to clean up the shore. Now, many years after aging out, things have changed a little, but are still as nice as I remember. The tower stands strong overlooking the grandoise of the parks many paths, trails, and waterways. Things at Robinson are simple: a parking area with some bathrooms next to the kayak/canoe ramp and the head of the paths. Easy to access, and easier to follow. The waterways can become a little confusing the further you go, but even though it may seem remote at times, you are never too far from a landmark to set you back on course. Their paths and trails are even easier to follow, and you will never get lost there. Overall, great place for any of your hiking/running/biking/rollerblading/paddling/relaxing needs.
My husband and I and my kids we love to walk here on this beautiful Park. Beautiful place to walk with your family
I love the observation tower the most when it comes to this preserve. The free admission is also very nice. There’s lots of paths you can either walk through or there are bicycle paths also. You can see the skyway bridge off into the distance and even have a better view of it from the observation tower. The sunsets are very pretty here. We saw lots of wildlife, from different kinds of birds, rabbits, crabs and fish jumping out of the water. The paths are very open and not all of them have a lot of shade so the hot summer days of Florida maybe a little brutal without proper water.
Great place to walk, exercise, bike, walk your dog. Lots of great people.
What is really special about this preserve is the new area they have put together for walkers and runners. There currently over 2 miles of walking and running rubber mulch surface paths that wind across the terrain. No need to watch for bikes on these paths as they are not allowed making this a walker/runners paradise. Even without these it is a great park but if you are a runner or walker this is the park for you.
The path is long, meandering through some sections with thick foliage which can become boring and prohibits breezes when the weather is sunny and hot. Also, distance makers are lacking so its hard to know whether you should turn around and go back to where you began or continue to the end of the path. Friends ride their bikes and love it. We walked and were disappointed that, although right next to the water, couldnt see any views of it (thick mangroves). Not sure we would go again - been there, done that.
Great place to walk, run or cycling. Trails are 2 to 3 miles. There are a lot of look outs and small beaches. Kayaking and fishing allows on certain areas.
One of my favorite local spots to exercise and immerse myself amidst the beauty of the nature in the preserve. Offers paved trails for walking, bicycling, & rollerblading as well as shell/sand compacted trails to enjoy. You can climb to the top of the look-out tower to gain a panoramic view of the surrounding areas. Theres a kayak/paddleboard launch area. Easy access parking with clean restrooms. Picnic area; free library; and kids play area. Come see the ospreys; birds of many varieties; bunnies; crabs, and much more. You can enjoy time fishing too. Offers partially shaded areas, covered bench areas with workout stations. Connects with the Robinson Preserve Expansion too. What are you waiting for?!
Nice clean well keep park. Had a lot of fun kayaking.
Great place to take my pup for training walks. Very nice preserve. People out walking dogs, riding bikes, picnicking, families and couples walking trails.
Beautiful trail, great for walking, biking and exploring. My daughter caught and released a Gecko. Nice boardwalk for fishing. Not the best park for swimming.
Always so peaceful when riding my bike. Everyone is friendly who you pass by.
Quiet calm nature preserve. Its a good bird watching spot. We saw woodpeckers, ospreys and egrets, but spoonbills have been sighted here. Did NOT climb the 40 foot tower, but it would be a good observation spot. Saw these beautiful shy mimosa blooms, too.
Beautiful nature preserve dogs allowed in leash... Its a must see!
Love going here to enjoy a walk or just enjoy some time with friends and family.
Heaven today Nov. 18 2.22pm no one here... and no litter very good humans give yourselves a round of applause
Peaceful, lush and well maintained trails. Also a great mix of running/walking terrains, my favorite spot!
Good trails, a fun observation tower, nice water walkways, and a cool historical house to visit.
Great places to exercises. Be sure to bring water and sunblock
Nice bike trail with lots of great bridges really nice and clean
This is a fun place to visit for hiking and biking. There is a tower to look out onto tampa bay and see the sunshine skyway from.
We had a wonderful time definitely 5 Stars
This place is really nice. Lots of trails to explore with the kids. Just keep in mind that the trails can get a little flooded. Easily handled by taking our shoes off.
Free admission & parking. Closes at 6PM. Real bathrooms with electricity & flush toilets, garbage, and water at the parking lot, but none anywhere on the trails. Main loop is probably 3 miles. Note that the trails are not very well signed - recommend having Google Earth or Maps at the ready. Only saw one indicating which way back to the parking lot - and that trail then had 2 or 3 Ys. There is a new 3/4+- mile loop with its own parking lot which is not on maps. Lots of birds on that loop, plus its seems to be recycled rubber so easier on the human & dogs feet. Extremely well-traveled; lots of people - its not like you would get LOST lost. Dog friendly. Bring water for yourself & dog.
One of my favorite places to kayak when visiting family. The trails are nice and well maintained. Don’t forget the bug spray though.
Loved this place. And more importantly my kids didnt want to leave. Way too much to explore in one day with smaller children but Free parking, lots of trails, fishing, canoeing spots and more make it worth a weekend. If youre into photography this is the perfect background for any kind of picture.
Great park. Perfect for biking, walking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and walking your dog
Went for a morning run... very pretty..
Ive lived in Sarasota/Manatee my whole life, and have never been her. Loved that at every turn along the water front had something new, paths, shrubs, trees, vista of Tampa Bay, looking straight across to St. Pete. Fantastic area to bike, walk, run and basically get outdoors. I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy Florida!
Very nice trails to walk on. Lot of nature to take beautiful picture
Great trails for riding the bikes with the kids and climbing the tower is a good bonus!
Beautiful park! Miles of paved paths. Great for walking, running, biking. Dont take your dog unless it can handle very long walks. Love this place, but any park this big should definitely have at least basic restroom facilities available at all times. Both times weve been there, both on weekends, the Visitor Center (and restroom) was closed.
Great for running, fishing, hiking, and so on. Really neat place. Get out there in nature!
Beautiful serene area with fantastic views and trails!!
You get a little bit of everything lovely about Florida in this nature presere. Long and short trails and a breathtaking variety of scenery.
Fun and interesting to go look at the plant and wildlife
Great place to run and see wildlife. I can’t wait to take the kayak out here. Park is really clean and dog friendly!
It was a beautiful experience
Loved it but they need to stop digging and cutting off mangrove trails
Fabulous place to paddle! Protected well from heavier breezes. You can paddle from Palma Sola bay to Tampa Bay in this preserve. Ton of wildlife, especially birds. Even saw a baby shark in the water close to the Tampa Bay opening! Nice spot to rinse your boats off when finished exploring, too. And theres NO Motors here, so no wakes to contend with, either. Watch the currents -- when you approach the openings to the Bays, the tidal currents are strong and will be slightly difficult in the narrow spaces under the footbridges. Supposed to be Mangrove tunnels here but we didnt do the entire trail and didnt find them - but still a beautiful paddle and enjoyable day! Keep a copy of the PDF map of the preserve on your phone so you can refer back to it offline...signal is spotty in some spots
If you can, you should go to the Robinson Preserve at 7:00 a.m. The dawning day creates a very special light. It is quiet and you can enjoy nature and animals in peace and quiet. We have seen many, Ospery, herons, woodpeckers and much more. Another highlight is the view from the tower. We saw the “Sunshine Skyway Bridge” from a completely new perspective. The paths lead, also over wooden walkways, through the beautiful area and you can also go to the sea in certain places. It was a great experience for us. Visitor center, free parking, toilets. Two other things: 1. Avoid lunchtime, since many paths have no shade. 2. In the parking lot of the main entrance there is a mobile rental of kayaks and StandUpPadels.
Great kayak launch and water area
Great place to be part of nature and take a leisurely walk.
We had a blast at the new canopy zone !
Great place to hike and bird watch.
Great place to run, walk or bike. Fun to go exploring with the family too.
Great trails, lots of natural wildlife to view. Well taken care of.
Good place to run. Enough foliage to be quite shady for early morning run, walk or bike
Beautiful scenery and look out tower. Went on a kayak tour with my family and we really enjoyed it.
Too hot to walk trails today..pretty landscapes
Wonderfully laid out park through banyan trees, mangroves and waterways. We biked the paths which are well laid out, marked and flat. There were kayakers in the waterways which are protected for easy paddling. Nicely maintained and clean.
So many different paths to explore! A wonderful variety of birds and wildlife to enjoy. And restrooms!
The park is very easy to get to off of 75th street. Hours of operation are posted and updated when they change. The access for kayaks and paddle board is great. The amount of wild life that you see is numerous and varied.
Paved and unpaved trails, great for walking or biking
This park is awesome! Well kept trails and just beautiful.
Incredible, quite place. You could bring your kayak or run with a dog!
If you like to run, bike ride, kayak, or the outdoors overall, Robinson Preserve is a great place to go to. Lots of bike trails paved and unpaved. If you kayak there are lots of cool tunnels of mangrove to maneuver though. Awesome place overall for a family that likes the outdoors.
Amazing park to bring your family and watch indigenous wildlife, particularly birds and fish. The park is great for long walks, having a few paths that are several miles long. Great for kayaking, and fishing too!
Our favorite place to visit with our family for over 20 years now.
If you want to see what nature Florida is about this is the place to come and see. Spent about 3 hours here riding our bikes around, what a beautiful place.
Awesome trail run area!
Beautiful nature preserve tucked away in northwest Bradenton. There are a number of trails for walking and biking, and it’s also possible to kayak. Usually not very crowded, so it’s a nice way to escape into nature. Just note there isn’t much tree cover, so it’s best to go in the morning or evening if you are sensitive to heat or sun.
Terrific place. Will be back for many more runs and walks
Very cool place for exercising and seeing wildlife. Plenty of parking in 3 different lots. Clean new rubber walking trail and longer dirt wildlife trail. Waterfront walking areas also.
