Great cleàn new park bathrooms and water fountain but with virus is bring your own. Everyone was wearing masks too very nice big place I have only gone twice to park but its behind walmart on 64 going north bound when turning off 64 where the dealership is. Two entrances 2nd entrance the is park way closer than first entrance!

Well maintained designed for many different experiences

This is a great place to have a party, play a game of volleyball, walk, bike, or picnic. It’s a newer park so some of the trails can be very sunny and hot in the summer, but as the trees establish it’ll cool off considerably.

Surprisingly nice place for evening hang outs with family with kids.Lots of options in the park.

We love this park. Awesome adventure-style playground, great fishing, lots of places to walk on paved and unpaved trails, well kept, and it’s all FREE! There is also a really nice kayak/canoe launch in the northwest region of the park, which is just a short saltwater paddle to open Manatee River. Secret: it’s full of redfish The main lake is also stocked well with big white crappie, as well as bass and bluegill.

There is so much to do at this park, alot of ponds a wonderful playground, your able to kayak, there is a pavilion, tons of trails, and lots of wildlife. Its by far the best park in Manatee county.

I am going to be nice yes park is clean. But as a photographer looking for new things and new places to go this is not a good place at all. There could be more shad aka trees. And also to make it feel more Florida like park. So much open space too as I read in one of the other comments this park could be so much more.

This was a great park. There are two well kept white sand volleyball courts, a fun playground with climbing obstacles and a real see-saw. There are plenty of picnic tables and walking paths. We didnt get a chance to try out all of the paths, but the one that goes to the fishing pier is good for younger kids. Im sure we could have enjoyed being their for a while longer but we had to catch a flight.

Walk our dog there every day love this park! Get to c Gators most of the time and a few Black snakes. One day a few mos ago mentioned to a man that was an employee about the American Flag that is displayed was torn and tattered and not hanging properly. Within 2 days it was replaced!! Thank you so much and God Bless America!

A great park with wooden playground and real see-saw. Also includes sand volleyball, large open fields and a walking trail leading to nice boardwalk lookout spot and view.

Tom Bennett park is behind Toyota by Walmart on 64. It is a somewhat gated park (two open gates but mostly fenced) with a handicap swing (the kind you sit in) and two playground sets. Bathroom and covered picnic tables too.

Great place to let my dogs RUN but NOT near the ponds. Just had a guy tell me one of his dogs was KILLED last week by a gator at the back pond.

Nice park. Play area for the kids is nice. Would be nice if they listed that the gates are automated so you would know that to get out after they close you have to just drive up to them.

Great park..rented pavilion several times for parties..a real bargain..!! My only complaint..every one wants to use the tables to eat..during your party..and there is only the one set of bathrooms..so there are constantly people walking thru your party..!! The fishing is okay..can launch canoes and kayaks..my kids always enjoy it there..

The park is beautiful. Many great areas to hang out and watch the many forms of wildlife here. Everything from birds to alligators frequent the park. The walking trails are clean and nice to walk, though they are not very extensive like some larger parks. Walking the circles a few times to get in a certain amount of distance isn’t a bad thing, though.

Would be nice if they didn’t allow people to set up a camper right On The boat launch keeping people from using it.

Place is always well kept.. This guy name Jonathan there had plenty of knowledge about things there.. When I see him mowing the grass is always perfect and straight.. Looks good..

One of the best parks around!!! Grass fields setup for soccer, plenty of wide open green spaces, nature trails, 3 volleyball courts, canoe/kayak launch access, Kids playground with bathrrom, covered tables and water fountains. Always busy and its a perfect park.

Very nice and clean local park. Swing sets and playground equipment for the kids. Plenty of grassy areas to run on and shade trees to sit under. Good sidewalk to teach someone to ride a bicycle. Can bar-be-que and fish in the lake. Covered shade area is large enough to have a small birthday party. Free admission for all to enjoy! Saw a caravan of classic VW cars briefly stop at the park on 4/29/18 before they left to travel over the Skyway Bridge.

It was a beautiful place to walk around and check out the wildlife. We saw a lot of birds.Clean restrooms too.

Nice walking trail

This park is a bit strange. Its design au natural, meaning its all wood. But the layout and fun factor leave something to be desired. The have weird, unbalanced climbing ropes and swingy things. The highest, and therefore funnest slide, is hard to get to. You gotta be a big kid to get it and then its too much work climbing a wall and squeezing through a small opening for it to be worth it. The see-saw is the complete opposite of balanced. One side has got to be 50 pounds heavier than the other. At least it feels that way. You need two fat kids on one end to level out a skinny kid on the other.Parking if good. Traffic is light. Theres also a handicap swing. So good for them? Oh and there is a bigger kid swing set... separated from the rest of the play area. The kiddy and handicap swings should be separated, right?Ah, what do I know. Im just a dude with a kid trying to have a good time. Who knows what them playground engineers where thinking.

Large open park. Good for children as there is play area. Lake lovely. Can take your bike, lots of paths to cycle along. Good for ball games with kids as lots of green space.

While it could stand to have some work done for it, its a nice and rather big park. Its got trails to walk and bike on if you want. If you know where to look theres an area you can go to to put your kayak in the water. I wouldnt suggest trying to use anything big because its definently not made for it. Also the trail can be really bumpy and rather recently the potholes on the trail have gotten bigger. On a different note it has a nice soccer field and an area to go play volleyball. Its definently a family park especially with the little story they have along one of the trails. When you get down to it though, its a really nice public park but if you read the wrong sign you might think the hours are messed up.

The playground has a seesaw! My nephew loves it. The trails are well kept and I always see a good amount of wildlife like birds and gators. Its a nice place to chill.

Good place for a small gathering. Only wish they had put restrooms on opposite sides of the building. Instead of people having to walk through your stuff to get to the restroom. Clean restrooms. Volleyball area. Fishing area. Usually quiet. Not too expensive to rent pavilion. Fishing Pier. Trails. Nice.

I wish I lived near to visit everyday, this park is so clean, and so great.

Its shameful this property is being wasted, could be much better used for public use and growth with a beautiful waterpark with water slides, swimming and splash areas. Please consider the greater benefits.

One of our favorite parks. But the playground is just soooo hot. No decent shade anywhere. This has become a place we only like to go in the winter months. Otherwise equipment is just too hot to even touch

Our daughter likes to run. The scenery is the perfect mixture of woods and water.

Nice place to meet up with a group of friends and family. Plenty of open space for kids to play as well as a small playground and volleyball court. They have picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the park.

I have been several.times very peacful its a wonderful place to go to if you just need to sit down and think and get things off your mind also a place for your children to play its a very nice humble walk you see wildlife and everything I recommend this place because its more clean and its very well kept up with cleanliness

A very clean and peaceful park. A little too close to the interstate, but all around a lovely place. It has a 1.2 mile walking trail, and a nature trail. Benches, picnic tables, and much more.

Its a great spot but I dont agree for two years of age maybe 4 and up. My 4 year old has a blast but my 3 and two year old struggle with most activities on the playground.

Really nice park. Lots of walking trails. Pavement and dirt areas to walk. Volleyball courts look well kept. Medium size play area for children, decent. Many large fields so soccer, foolball, flying kites. One very large lake and a couple smaller ponds for fishing. No boat launch, but I think you can kayak.

Its a great park for 5yr to 10yr, I had my almost 2yr old grandbaby there and was a very few things we could do..They do have a great old fashioned teeter totter, and the item for kids are great its just not for toddlers, they do have swings for lil ones but not for older ages that all else is for.. There is also a nice covered area w tables and restrooms at the park.Also the park itself has no shade at all, all the items were so hot to touch no children at all could touch anything.

Very awesome place... looks like the playground is new from the last time we have been here... very clean a one way on and our put on the play ground area... lots of things to do here. Fish, walking trails, the playground I think you can even take out the kayaks... very awesome place for the whole family to enjoy...

Lots of reasons.

A beautiful park with a lot of nature trails around scenic lakes where you can see lovely birds maybe even glimps a fish or alligator! People also bring their dogs to enjoy the trails. There is bathrooms and picnic areas as well as a play ground for the kids. It is close to the state road and interstate, as well as easy to get to. Walmart is near by if you wnat to pick up some snacks. This would be a good stop for a small puting if your travelling with the family!
