This is a super cool preserve with a lot to offer. There is not a ton of shaded areas, so bring a hat and sunscreen. I also suggest bringing bug spray, because there are patches of the trail with mosquito infestations. There is a ton of opportunity to see wildlife on this trail... we saw a gopher tortoise while trekking! Also a cool rookery to observe

We took our bikes and even though biking is not allowed on all of the trails there is a wonderful winding forested part and a straight flat section that was very enjoyable. Perfect for young children. Cant miss the photo opp at the fallen tree. There are signs and racks next to the sections for walking only. It is not a large preserve, a very easy hike, and stroller friendly. Several different types of birds to see and areas to watch without spooking them. No tortoise sightings but the mullet jumping out of the pond were really fun and silly to watch. My daughter really liked the swinging benches and really nice fluffy flowers. They were pretty soft.

This was a great little nature preserve! Its a bit larger than Neal Preserve right down the road, but smaller than Robinson Preserve... So its a nice in between length to walk! I think I took around an hour and a half walking around, but that was with stopping a lot to take photos of the birds and to just watch them, too. There were tons of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and other wildlife to see. There isnt much shade, so make sure to wear sunscreen!

Beautiful place! Paths are nice and clean and there’s places that have swings you can sit and relax in. Easy walking with no hills. Not very many places with shade so keep that in mind if it’s a hot day.

A great place to go for a walk or run and see Floridas flora and fauna up close. PP is especially known for birds with over 160 bird species reported.

Beautiful place to go for a walk! It has so much wildlife (bunnies, tortoises, birds)and the there’s gravel trails and boardwalk trails too.

Great nature trail in Bradenton on the way to AMI. Flat gravel trail is nice and pace is relaxed. They have done a good job here planting fauna in this fairly new preserve area. You just never know what type of bird, or tortoise you may see. Bring your water flask and enjoy this looped trail. Wooden observation decks are nice stops along the way.

A well preserved oasis..easy walking trails... access..peaceful..and not busy!

This is a great place for a quiet walk in a natural setting. A wonderful place to see a variety of birds, and some fish also. Plenty of benches and swings placed along the trail to sit and relax. There are no dogs allowed, and only a porta-john for a restroom.

It is a sweet little hike around a small lake. It has views of Robinson Preserve on the other side.

Bikes not allowed for round trip. Why??? Insane and against the disabled

Only visited for a short time before the sun went down, but had a nice wooded and open areas to explore. There is a nice map so you don’t get lost. We saw some rabbits and birds too.

We love to bike, kayak, fish and walk in the preserve.

Gorgeous with some short but beautiful boardwalks all centered a bird rookery in a lake.

The smell of sweet almond bushes wafted through the air. So many birds and marsh rabbits. It was practically paradise.

Mostly walking trails. A little bike trail...narrow. I think more are being added. Nice preserve. Very calming.

A Great Nature Walk. I accidentally stepped onto an anthill while trying to get a picture, the first time I was here, Ouch! Try to stay ON the paths! lol! My kids loved the trails and the bird watching spot was pretty cool. The bridge and docks completed the whole thing and was an overall great experience. Hit the bathrooms before the trail though, because theres nowhere to go once youve left the parking lot.

We walked the trails, very pretty...

First time going, just went to take some pictures. Maybe an hour and a half walk around. Very hot out and not much shade. Best time to go would be early morning or later when the sun isnt too high in the sky. Or even better in cooler weather. Seen maybe four different species of birds.

Wonderful to watch this new preserve take shape before our eyes these last few years. Is already great--will be a small jewel in the Countys crown for generations to come. Beautifully laid out trails lead through varied Florida micro-environments supporting native Florida flora and fauna. Bird blinds and bike racks. No dogs, please. If youre from up north, see if you can detect the hill as you walk

A nice little walk about 1.7 mi.² almost 2 miles if you do all the trails.

Beautiful place. Very peaceful. Didnt see as many birds as wed hoped, but probably early morning would be better. Did see several great white herons, a couple blue herons, mockingbirds, cardinals, mourning doves, Palm warblers and a few other species.

Not much shade for the trails but the views are gorgeous.

Perico Preserve is a great addition to the community. You can walk in, around and out in less than 30 minutes and see beautiful nature in the process.

Awesome newer park in the area. Located down the road from Robinson Preserve. If you are in the area, and enjoy the park and nature, you should definitely check it out.

Beautiful open nature preserve! Be prepared for lots of sun!!! Most of this nature trail is out in the open!! But its breath taking! A must see! Reminds me of the old western views in old movies!

Just west of the South entrance to the Robinson Reserve, is the Perico Preserve. Does not look like Perico has been around long, but it is becoming a very nice spot for a walk or birding. Sees less of a crowd than other places, so you can at times have it to yourself.

It is a beautiful preserve. I would suggest trying it out in the evening as it gets dark so you dont die of heat exhaustion however.
