Great nature trail! Its very well laid out with a lot to see. The trailer was very well maintained also.
I found this place while driving around the area looking for places to photograph a sunrise. It was easily accessible from the road within the park area. There are plenty of areas and roads to bike on once inside the park. It appears to be good for fishing and contains scenery for photography so best of both worlds. Oh, picnicking as well.
I absolutely loved this place! Able to rent boats, canoeing, fishing, picnic, check with office, able to reserve shelters for events. Beautiful scenery! Great for family and especially kids. Would definitely visit again! Clean bathrooms given the outdoor environment. One of the best parks i have been to (probably because of the ability to rent boats).
Excellent trail. Trail was obvious and had an option to continue on to further the distance traveled by only about 0.7 miles. I declined to hike the extra distance as the sun was just beginning to set. Took my two kids with me and even they enjoyed the distance. Ill be sure to do it again!
Did a 3.5 mile hike today, really a beautiful place. Fall leaves carpeting the forest floor and in the tree tops for amazing views
One of the nicest parks. I love going to sit and watching the morning sunrise
Really nice lakes. Parks are clean! Cant wait to take our boat on the water there.
Trails are beautiful and easy enough even for my toddler. Great place to introduce him to the wider outdoors and conservation
Calm... Good place to meditate when Im not close to home.
Lake Jacomo campground was very nice. The sites are really big. The toilets are in with the shower very clean. The only complaint is the shower head it wasnt a spray it was a steam of water.
Nice place to visit especially with your better half, i frequent there often
Really enjoyed our stay here. On a very beautiful lake and lots of space between RV sites.
The tent sites are odd in that none of them are on level ground. Luckily for us, we had our choice of sites, so we were able to score one of the flatter ones. The restrooms and shower houses are nice for a campground.
Super helpful in getting storage arranged. Staff very knowledgeable and quick to assist.
Great prices friendly staff n great entertainment
Very nice area. Needs to be cleaned more frequently around the eating tables (area) but over all a nice place to go and relax by the water.
The campgrounds are a lot of fun. It is fun to watch our grandson camping.
Was on little Blue trace trail. Enjoy walking jt.
Very clean Park with friendly people great place to take the kids .The only thing I did not like are the barbecue grills .The bad thing about the grills they are too low to the ground, the good thing about the grill it doubles as a fire pit. Overall great experience at this park.
Beautiful location to watch the sunrise & sunset over the lake! They should definitely consider scenic view parking.
We stayed in Blue Hills Lake campground on a concrete pad with full hookups. It was very nice and we will come back next year.
Nice place to go and relax. Very well maintained.
Had a fantastic time camping here. Not a very level parking spot though. Beautiful scenery
It was neat and people were maintaining distance
Lake Jacomo is a great kayaking lake. There is a dedicated non-motorized boat ramp, so none of the craziness like that found on Longview Lake. The lake sits down pretty low as well so the wind is minimal. Scenic, calm, and not too crowded.
Guess covid19 is keeping parts of the park closed or the rangers are just LAZY! JACOMO AND BLUE SPRINGS
Always love it here got a few spots we love to go to catch some beautiful sunsets.
Absolutely beautiful and clean. Was a wonderful time just my husband and myself.
One of there roads severely broke my vehicle and the denied my claim. Tried contacting to appeal and have yet to get a response.
Lots and LOTS of secluded lakeside accesses its awesome!! Nice ppl, great place to fish, boat (little or big), swim, or walk trails.
Historic, relaxing, and the friendliest people dressed like they are from the 1850s. Love the buffalo and the other animals too.
Beautiful area that would take weeks to enjoy it all! Or years if you live here!
Always nice. Get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Dont forget carrots and apples for the elk and bison.
Its nice n clean quiet beatiful view
So fun to feed the animals! Went there with my little cousin and she loved it.
Great place to spend time with familyo
Great pontoon rental experience. Fyi, they dont sell fishing licenses!
Great park and lake. Lots and lots of trails for everybody to ecplore!
Good place to get a breath of fresh air.
Put up second set of fencing, can barely see animals. Can no longer feed Bison or Elk, which was the enjoyment of going. Understand necessity, but seems excessive.
There is a horsepower limit that is not posted, old people call the dor on you, not very welcoming, never will go back again
Beautiful place to get away from the city. Peaceful and quiet. Lots of wildlife.
Beautiful place to be especially during summer and fall
Beautiful, large spots. Well maintained. Lots of green!
I like this park because its little bit quiet.
Theres the ability to feed the buffalo and elk here if you bring your own carrots and theyll come right up to the fence to eat from your hands. The trails here are also gorgeous and it has some nice fishing spots here as well. All this is free. You should definitely make the trip here sometime if youre a nature lover.
Park is in disrepair. When we arrived our spot was given to someone else who did not make a reservation. The electricity was not working and the attendant could not help.
Rock ledges hike bike trail.Fantastic!
We couldnt go, because its closed due to the pandemic. There website has it listed but Google wasnt updated. Well try again next year.
Beautiful lake! Good fishing & boating but not too crowded.
So a. Two years ago i went. Tubing had a blast ! But i. I swam to one of the Tribunes that feed the lake.and in fifteen feet i walked i found 3 arrowheads. That was amazing. .
Great service, friendly staff, I was in and out in a matter of minutes when my boat and standup paddle board registered and ready to go.
Lake Jacomo has been a favorite since childhood days.
Always a nice and relaxing time to take a small hike with my family. We miss feeding the animals since the covid 19 restrictions.
Beautiful lake but maybe needs up dated docks
We had a great time!!
Its always nice to get out .many different things to do at the lake.
Its a good park. Not a lot of facilities but its clean. We planted this bush in honor of our family member we lost. She would have loved this.
Always love staying at Blue Springs Lake... very clean... very nice people!
Its a nice lake there are no rest rooms
I visited this park while camping at Blue Springs Lake, and it is a very nice place. Maintenance is kept up well, and i didnt see a single piece of loose trash anywhere. In a time where just about anywhere you go, you see some sort of refuse just being tossed on the ground, its nice to see park whos maintenance workers keep up with it! The lake is an absolute sight to see, and while the weather is starting to get colder, i would highly recommend you visit once the weather starts getting nice again!
Nice gated city campground close to I-70 and well kept.
Nice view, but lots of bugs
I love going to James A. Reed to fish! They have several ponds to fish out of and its always a good time.
Went for a 10 mile kayak at Lake Jacomo awesome
Amazing place to see buffalo and elk. They are always hungry as well so bring some apples and carrots!
Beautiful place in my hometown, also great for rc crawler
This is a great place to go to unwind and relax. Ive come out here since the sixties to fish, picnic and hike. I really appreciate the fine parks we have here in Jackson County. And just a word; Lets all show our appreciation by always picking up after ouselves and not leaving a speck of trash behind.
I enjoy coming out to this place.
Love lake jacomo
Nice park with a wonderful animal enclosure. Great to drive through or to stop and feed the elk and buffalo. Kids love it too!
There are 2 parks (Fleming and Jacomo) that run together... fun for someone that wants to go do outdoor activities-- fishing, hiking, bike riding, ECT.
Free! Plenty of spacious parking. Roving security park ranger
Very enjoyable visit at one of the campgrounds.
For newcomers in the MO area, we have yet to venture out too far. We loved this train it appeared busy at first but it was perfect for a lil evening hike. We will be back!
Really nice place for long trail walks and its animal friendly. Very peaceful place to get away
Great outdoor family recreation! So much top enjoy and absorb! Love the trails!
Went fishing with the hubby. Had a good time.
Neat opportunities to see and feed Buffalo/bison and elk up close and personal in what I still consider the heart of Kansas City! Very large park. Bring several bags of full sized carrots, they go fast! We then ate lunch at a picnic table on site.
Had picnic. Nice and clean. Enjoyed ourselves very much.
Jocomo is a great little lake for fishing, boating and kayaking.
Great lake, good fishing, affordable boat rentals. Shelter houses to rent and parks to enjoy. Love this place
Great place to go and get outside
We put our boat out on lake jacomo. Great times out there. Would recommend.
Fun feeding the, ducks and geese.
I appreciate all the people that work for hard for all of us to enjoy these clean and safe parks.
Great trails and dogs love it!
Bait coughtPoles readyIts a good timeWhen there is.Wish me some luck.
Beautiful area that is kept up rather well. They seem to work hard to keep this place looking good and enjoyable. Had a great time.
I wish I could work there and or live there
