I can only comment on the skatepark, but it is my favorite park in all of Kansas City area. Very well made park. Smooth concrete and good ramps. The setup allows for a lot of creativity. Everytime I have skated there people have been friendly. The park is very clean which is nice. Very family friendly area. Some skateparks are kind of on the sketchy side sometimes.

Beautiful park! Great water area and playground for kids, basketball court, clean bathrooms. Short stop to walk the dog, beautiful paths for walking and plenty of picnic areas.

Lots for kids to do to keep them entertained, while providing places for adults to sit and hang out. Beautiful place in general and always enjoy visiting.

A fun friendly environment, the kids water park is great for young families.The dry play equipment is great, but you need to keep a close eye on your kids, there are a few blind spots that Im not overly fond of. Great equipment for ages 4 and up.

SashiSash pad is fun. Make sure and dont leave your table unattended at the splash pad. Had a rather large lady move are stuff and just take are table. I was playing with my daughter in the splash pad. She took are chairs even though are stuff was on the table. She just moved are stuff. Interesting crowd there for sure.

My kids love this place. Lots of room to run and expend energy. Stays clean and has lots of shade.

Nice park and open for play. Basketball court, playground, splash park, sand volleyball, skate park. Plenty of seating and shade for the adults.

Since the rebuild of this park it is absolutely incredible. I am so impressed with the city for putting together such a great, family friendly space. The play area has a rubber floor so it’s great for all ages and all the different equipment was made with such ingenuity and creativity that actually usable and fun. You know how some parks are so creative they are just weird and kids don’t use or like the equipment? Not here! There is also lots of seating for parents and many shaded spots. We went there so much this summer! Love love love!!

Great place to spend a day outside, it has a playground and a splash pad, both good for kids of all ages.The park also has a good paved walking path, and clean bathroom facilities.

This park is amazing. I decided to Google a random park and go check it out with my two kids. On the way I told them that if the park was seemed sketchy once we got there we would just go to a different one. We were all pleasantly surprised. This park is the best I have seem so far. This is our new favorite park we will definitely go back many times in the future.

We love the water park (at least the idea) although the water pumps seemed to spray very very slowly. The slide is way too small for grade school age children (not thought through bad purchasing). The playground equipment was very impractical. Only a couple of swings, really? My grandkids found very little to do, like the tetertotter does not even go up and down. Taxpayers got took on that. I was thoroughly disappointed they spent so much yet it provides so little. Couldnt a wading area be added or even a swimming pool be added or a lazy river float? So much money for so little. I looks much better from an appearance perspective.

They have completely redone this park. It has a splash pad and large playground. They put in a nice restroom area and new basketball courts. They also have a skate park here. The playground equipment is the nicest I have seen in a while. My son loves playing here and never wants to leave.

We love the NEW Burrus Old Mill Park! Tons of spots for kids to get wet and then move straight over to the park without getting feet dirty. New basketball court and skate park.

Good hours, great place to catch a late night walk with some gradient and great angel garden across the street-but a little boring and trite. Its awfully small.

Such a beautiful, safe park with brand new splash pad and playground. The entire park, including the restrooms were very clean. I loved that the parks and rec had music jamming from the speakers while the kids enjoyed the water park. I took the children several times this summer and they loved it

Why is there a skate park in BS dedicated only to skateboards? There are also BMX riders in this town who also need a place to ride.

Excellent facility, well maintained. As a public park, it is better than most I have been to. There are facilities for all ages from toddler to teen, including a very nice playground with swings and slides, monkey bars and climbable surfaces.I just took the kids there today (09/15/2019) for the first time, and they all had a great time. The older boys (14 - 17 years old) made use of the skate park area, and the 11-year old loved playing with the other kids on the playground.There are clean and functional restrooms, water fountains, and plenty of benches to rest.

Great park with plenty of green space, playground, splash pad, basketball, volleyball, skatepark and restrooms.

Used to come here all the time as a kid and now theyve remodeled it into one of the most unique parks Ive seen! I love that my children always want to come here as well. Beautiful view of the lake thats across the road, skatepark, sand volleyball court, basketball courts, huge play area on a soft platform, picnic areas, a water spout play area for summer and much more to mention!!!!

Has good equipment for the kids to play on. Theres a small skateboard area. Has a couple of shelters, tennis courts.I usually come up here and parked facing Woods Chapel and read a book.

This park was updated for Summer 2019. With a very inclusive water splash area, dry clothes only play ground, skate park, professional looking basketball court and sand volleyball this park has it all. Parents and family can sit in shaded areas and not worry because there are clean restrooms and a water fountain for drinking.I believe the large pavilion can also be rented through the Blue Springs Parks and Rec website for a fee. Have fun!

This is a great splash pad for toddlers and younger kids (also good for older kids) because there are a lot of smaller fountains, some small enough for a crawling baby to play in. The playground is fun with a toddler area. There is also equipment for developmentally delayed/autistic kids or adults (swing, teeter totter, and some climbing structures). The bathrooms are relatively clean and were updated with the new playground and splash pad. There is a nice walking path also.

Love the new splash pad and play ground area. My kids really enjoyed the double swing and having two different music areas too. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and thought the umbrellas were a nice touch to the tables. My oldest son loved the new basketball court as well. We will be excited when they finish the volleyball Court and tennis courts. Also, the two different shelters with picnic tables are a huge improvement.

This skate park is truly wonderful. I have seen people of all experience levels out there on skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, and bikes. We bring our 5 & 6 year old kids and they skateboard along side kids their age and a little older, teenagers, and even experienced adults! We have never felt unwelcomed or out of place even with our kiddos being so young.It has always been very clean and safe. I enjoy people watching as much as the kids enjoy playing and practicing. I have witnessed kids of all ages be incredibly supportive of others who arent in their group when they land a trick they have been practicing over and over.

I love the playground and the splash ground. 5 stars if they were a good distance apart. No moms were consulted in the making of this playground. It is dangerous to have a climbing/balance playground that is constantly wet. Do not come here if you expect your kid to stay dry. Stairs are all that separate the play areas.

It was definitely fun and lots of space for kids to adventure. The regular park area was so hot that a lot of it was unusable. They do have some cover but unfortunately the slides are not in the shade. The restrooms were clean and centrally located. Parking was a bit interesting and there is literally only one way in and out. Great gazebos located around for party use.

The city has done a great job renovating Old Mill with a splash pad, basketball, playgrounds, skate park, etc. Plenty of seating and shade. Its been considered a huge win for the community. Great park.

My kids had a lot of fun!

Lots of fun. Lots of water. Little play on the play ground as kids were wet. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Only suggestion I have would be for the entire play ground areas to have some sort of cover so the equipment would not be to hot on the skin. Otherwise job well done blue springs.

Love the new playground and splash pad! The extra parking is also wonderful! I know once the rest of the grass fills in thus will be an amazing park! I only wish that the basketball court was a little farther away from the playground/splash pad....the language that comes from some of the older kids there is easily heard by littler ears in the play areas.

Such a great improvement, so happy Blue Springs has a water play area now! There is a large shelter with picnic tables and a large grill, and a fenced in basketball court. I didnt get a good look at the renovated skate area but from what i could see it looks great too. Note: be sure to drive slowly around the parking area; its a bit of a tight squeeze and I kept thinking it would be easy to miss seeing a person (especially a child) coming through the cars!

This was an amazing place! I really wish we could get something like this. Parents were very attentive to their children. When we were leaving at 4 it actually slowed down and there wasnt a lot of people (Monday 97 degrees). Very impressive and then the play ground was amazing- more for bigger kids but totally worth it.

Its wonderful how they revamped this park! Something for everyone..... water... playground....skating.... volleyball. But 2 things..... #1. there needs to be a bench next to the skate ramps so parents can relax & supervise their kiddos....#2.. in the water park area I watched child after child slide down the little wet slide right off the short landing pad onto the concrete and skin their knees, hands and tushies... a bit dangerous and DEFINITELY unsanitary!

We absolutely love this place. The splash pad is a great addition to the park. My kids love it. On a laid back day, its easy to just take my kids here and I dont have to spend a dime for them to enjoy themselves and get some energy out.

I understand wanting to play but if u r old enough to b on ur phone and u want to b chased by boys... this park is not the one! And yes I AM the one who will correct ur child when they run in to mine or anyones little one... go over to the skate park or grass and b chased. Not where the babies r playing!! Love this park btw.. cant wait for water

An awesome place for kids to play at the splash park or on the playground equipment! Our friends in Blue Springs took us so my grandson and their kids could burn some energy. Boy oh boy did they ever! This park is awesome! Blue Springs be proud!

The new splash pad was lots of fun on a hot day. The playground also offered some great challenges and exercise for the kids after they finished with getting wet. All the kids that were playing seemed to get along well, and more than once I noticed old kids helping younger ones.

Its awesome you can play at the park side then go to water park side back an forth . Oh my have to try this place out.

This is an amazing, FREE, splash park and regular park. My kids love it. Also, they have a very large, covered picnic area that would be great for family gatherings of all types.

This place has changed so much since I was a kid. I wish it was a splash park when I was a kid. Not to mention the new equipment on the playground along with the new surface. Basketball court looks great and parking is easy.

Old Mill Park has been completely rebuilt recently and they did a fantastic job. The playground is one of the best in KC now and the skatepark is much larger and has more variety than it did before.

New spray park kept the kids happy and cool! Plenty of parking with easy access to play area. And its free,way to go Parks and Rec.

This is an easy-to-access park popular for skateboarding. I can only give 3 stars because the park really isnt much fun in the blistering cold days typical of these winter months. AND the skate park is under reconstruction. Rewind. That is fantastic and merits 5 stars. It looks like the new fixtures and plans will make Old Burris new and more exciting. Unofficially rumored to be ready to go Spring or early Summer, 2019. Kick-flipping progress! Bet!

We read online at the park was open till midnight and we foolishly thought that was the water park. We figured it would at least be open till dark or maybe 9:30. We came after I pee wee football game and the kids were so disappointed we had about 12 people with us and the water had gone off at 8 we got there about 8:20. The new park was lovely but it was very upsetting that the water was left on. You guys started two or three weeks late the least you could do is leave it on till dark.

Wish every community had a great park like this one!

Neat playground/sprayground. The slides are too slick if the slide or child is even a little wet. Kids were flying off the slides getting hurt!

My 6 yr old son had a blast best splash park around I highly recommend this place for small children.

My brother had reserved the shelter closest to the restrooms for my nieces birthday party. When we arrived, the shelter was already occupied due to a double booking and we wound up at the secondary shelter. It had not been swept out and there was trash on the ground near the grill area. We swept it ourselves and after everything was set up, it turned out to be a nice party.Overall the park is decent ~ it looks like some updating is being done however, communication about the reservation could have been better.
