Love the peace this place gives me. Calm waters beautiful place to spend some time with yourself and your loved ones. Best time is sunrise and sunset if you truly want to enjoy the beauty of the place

I just love confluences. There’s something about the point at which rivers combine that I find so fascinating. Today was my first time here and while I didn’t stay long (still a bit of that winter chill in the air), I valued my time.There were two items of particular interest. One was watching all the chunks of ice floating down the Susquehanna, it was just memorizing. Funny that I didn’t see any ice moving down the Chenango River. There must be an explanation.Second, there was a young couple getting their engagement photos taken. He was dressed in a button down shirt (tucked in) and slacks and she had on a short dress and long boots. The photographer had on a thick winter coat and ski cap. I keep thinking they must be uncomfortable so under-dressed. They must have been doing their best to smile and look happy, but my mind went to the invitees receiving the save-the-date cards and would they be able to see the shiver and chill behind those smiles? Would these photos betray their forced warmth and show the strain of living up to expectations? I asked myself: How much of a metaphor was I witnessing?

Its always a pleasant walk with rivers, bridges, and flowers... I even saw a wedding there once!

Its a great place for fishing or just hanging out and sitting and listening to the water

Absolutely a beautiful day. The area was freshly mowed and we didnt see any litter around. From our bench we saw two wedding parties come for pictures on the bridge.

I was given a flier stating that outside beer was considered contraband in a county facility, and only approved bags are allowed.Harvestfest was a county beer tent and food fundraiser.

Nice little park...

I love this small Park. Its located where the Chenango and Susquehanna River come together. Together with the small wave-breaker it is beautiful to sit there and relax. There are a few possible seats and also the option to climb (on your own risk) a little further down to the rivers itself.

I have been there for a bit now and then. It is a peaceful and serene place compared to what it once was. I was there on a weekend later in the afternoon. At other times it was in the morning, looking for a bit of sanity in the insane .
