Drove from Scranton because the website says its open. Started walking towards the open gate when a guy starts screaming to get out of here the zoo is closed. No sign saying closed. The other side of the park with the education center was open. The zoo and carousel was closed. Wasted 3 hours of our day on the trip. Website still says its open.

Well when we where there it was closed due to covid

A beautiful place to be with the children. You should bring your own kids, too. Just dont feed them to the Goats. Those guys would nibble off your fingernail, given the chance!

We got there only to find out that the zoo is closed the entire month of December It made for one disappointed kid. There was no sign or anything. We only found this out after checking their calendar online. Youd think theyd at least call it out on their homepage so that Google wouldnt think they were open!

It was a nice trip to the zoo

Some decent animals here still.. but no big time animals like tigers, lions etc... Only smaller ones here now days, but still a great time for young kids.. until they get older and want to hit the Bronx zoo next!!
