Lots of fire ants hills to dodge with 2 dogs and a 4yr old. Very lacking. Only 3 signs and 2 little benches on the 1 mile out we did walk. No real views of anything other then old juniper trees. Ya I get it its a high dessert. Painted hills are a desert and there are some views.
Boring. Also muddy during the winter dusty as heck when not muddy. Hot. Too many other trails to waste time on this one.
Great high desert easy hiking trail. Dont miss the parking entrance. Its just to the right after the road turns to sand/gravel.
This trail is really cool because they put up signs that tell you all about the history of the area and how the trail was used.
Incredibly accessible for people of any age, easy terrain, plenty of benches in the shade to rest. Plaques along the way narrate the history of the location.
BLM land. Great place to get away from people.
Great history about the early settlers of Oregon.
Short easy walk.
