Great central location for accessing major trail network.
Mellow first leg for walks and looks pretty sweet for mountain biking too. Choose to Tumalo falls too.
Excellent mtn biking trails and gorgeous views.
Great place
Great starting point, for a nice 6+ mile round trip hike to Tumalo Falls. The weather couldnt have been better for our hike, 60-70 degrees in November! From the snow-park lot, walk/hike the Tumalo Creek Trail, which takes you up to the falls. Initially, the trail is flat and there is no Creek to be seen or heard, for about a mile. Dont worry, youll start to notice the beautiful sounds of flowing water on your right, then youll see the creek. This hike is nice, moderate, in the fact that even though you will climb 600+ feet in elevation, its not continuously uphill. There is a Loop recommended, however, we chose to hike up the Tumalo Creek Trail and back down it. People we met at the falls said the other section of the loop is just a gravel road, so you decide! In our research of this hike, we read there are upwards of 12 falls to be seen along the hike. We only encountered ONE, Tumalo Falls. Maybe there are more falls along other trails, which there are many more up there. No matter, the trail was well marked and well kept. It is shared with mountain bikers, so keep that in mind.
Bathroom smells.But thats normal
Really the attraction here for my wife and me is the big parking lot that has a couple trailheads - one, to get you to Tumalo Falls (about a 3-mile hike one way), or two, to Tumalo Ridge. The latter is more for mountain biking, but we hiked it. There are some great vistas from a couple places, but its mostly tree-covered.
Just amazing riding...lovely day here
Great access to trails nearby for my biking. Weird access for winter sports. Everyone tries to park on the road for 1/2 mile west of the snow park creating an absolute mess on the road
I ride my bike up here at least twice a week
Awesome!!! Hiked 15 miles from there!!! So fun!
Dusty dirty and not good at all for any activity not enough parking the bathroom is awful and theres only bike trails no trails for walking hiking or dogs
Amazing trails, great views and easy parking
Classic
Go early.
