City has turned this place into showpiece. I did enjoy wandering around the area before it was improved but I have to admit it is very beautiful now. I love the Inez Boyd fountain and the walking trails. Wildflowers bloom all summer long. The sound of bullfrogs is delightful and I see fishermen pulling big fish outIt is a great area for public celebrations as well
Beautiful day spent at a well kept area. The trail around the pond is perfect for a nice walk, or a serious workout.
Nice place, but bring the bug spray...no see ums abound.
Personally, I liked the wild space this park was once. Even so, I love this park. Its beautiful and varied and fun. Plus the giant pond is pretty nice
This park is currently undergoing upgrades, so large portions are closed off to the public.Current features include a large fishing pond with a pier on one end. There is a paved walking path around the pond, about a half mile around. There are also baseball fields complete with stands and a building housing public restrooms, which are closed for the season. Plenty of parking rounds out the currently available features. The north end of the park is closed for construction, but when it reopens there is a nature trail that runs near the river. The trail has plaques that have information on the history of the area, along with information in the wildlife you might encounter. As best I remember, the trail is about two miles for the round trip.
Its the only place in Bellevue that Im aware of that has recycling bins for glass. The park itself is nice, quiet and clean. Ample parking.
American Heroes park has quickly become my go-to walking trail. Safe, clean, and great scenery.
Its is nice. They keep it clean and they have a lake you can fish in. They just recently added a new part and new trails.
Beautiful has catfish in the pond and tons of snapping turtle. Great for walks
On days of Football, the parking is hard to come by

CHI America September Fest. I cant believe they charge $7 a person just to go in. Then the food is expensive and you spend more on rides. Really! They shouldnt charge going in.
Great place to walk. Deer and ducks are nice to see.
Riverfest rides food music great festival
Love this place! So much flooding and debris!
Music wasnt as wild as it has been in the past years
Come on out and enjoy fishing and walking/jogging at the pond, head out on the mulched Nature & History Trail, watch a BJSA football game at the fields, or pay your respects at the 9/11 Memorial.
