This is a lovely equestrian statue in bronze of the Marquis de Lafayette, erected to the honor of this hero of the American Revolution in 1924. It is located near the top of a narrow strip of park in the historic center of Baltimore, just below the Washington Monument. Taken together, the two monuments make an excellent photo opportunity for tourists in Baltimore, especially considering the neighboring buildings, greenery, flowers and antique lamp posts.
Historical statue. Be sure to visit the library nearby.
