The staff was friendly and courteous, and had my concessions ready as soon as I got there as ordered through their app. The theater is well-cleaned and has disinfecting wipes for the soda machines. Seats are blocked off on either side when you purchase one. I went to a showing with only a few other people, and felt safe doing so. The lobby and theater was the cleanest I have ever seen a theater in my life, no exaggeration.

I came to this location on Friday 12/20/2019 to watch the Star Wars movie. This location is way better after the upgrades they did to the food, service, and seating. What came to my surprise the most is how excellent of customer service I received. There is an individual by the name of Kyle who was not only genuine, but extremely respectful and kind. I noticed as I was first walking in that he offered to take a family picture for a customer outside where it is very cold. In addition to doing so, when we arrived with our digital tickets he ensured we were not waiting and quickly checked us in. I found that one of the two chairs we selected was not reclining and before the movie began I went back to speak to him about it. He expressed such empathy and assisted me in the theatre to get the chair working. I’ve just never seen such good customer service in years. I talked to the manager just to say how wonderful that employee really is. I truly hope you get the recognition you deserve and keep up the great work!

Its better than it used to be. Just seems odd it takes 30min to cook a hot dog but 90sec for a pizza. Movie theater wasnt to bad. Comfy seats and paper towels in the bathroom. Its nice to be able to dry your hands.

TOO HOT! This is my second movie here in two months. The first, in May, I thought wow I dont need a sweater. But its July now. Tonight I didnt need clothing at all. Everything else was fine. You get to pick your seats. The reclining seats are wonderful. I love the design. Have you ever noticed that the handicapped have to sit in the front at other theatres. Here they have the back rows right near the entrance door. Both times I went it wasnt crowded. Bathrooms were clean and stocked both times. No matter which viewing room your in you are near a restroom. Would have been 5 star had it not been for the ac issue. But it was so hot the seat was sticking to my back. Ill go back in the winter.

Finally was able to go on a quick date with my husband after finding a baby sitter, decided not to go out to far because of having to work in the am. Wanted to go see Gemini Man in theater 3. By time we sat down comfortably and reclined our seats up with our buttery popcorn for a whole 5 minutes, Mickey and Minnie came shortly after to join us in the aisle. We quickly got out of there for a refund of everything!! So disgusted!! Needs to be shut down, they are clearly infested for the rodents to not even wait until the lights went out to come out!!

Its a cool movie theater with very comfortable seats (that recline which is especially awesome for us taller folk!), But a large (though refillable) drink was I think almost $9 which is pretty ridiculous. I get its a movie theater and all but cmon now. The ticket prices are decent and they show a good variety of movies, so overall I like going. Just expect to have an extra few dollars for food and drinks.

This place was never really a great place but when they remodeled it started being a nice place to go. I liked the bar that they added but it always seems like they are always out of food, the bathrooms and theaters are never clean. There staff are rude and there are always noisy kids disrupting the movie and running outside and inside the theater. Ive decided not to go back to that location.

I love going to this movie THEATER as well because its write on the bus line you can come write out of the movie THEATER and the bus stop is write there also I love the nice kick back chairs just make you want to go the sleep for a second and wake write back up just in time for the movie to start its clean as well its just a nice place to go and have a wonderful time

I hate to ever rate a place badly but it was just all around awful. No one was helping the poor concession guy it was just him instead they just all were huddled in one place at the ticket booth. That led to long lines. Popcorn was way too salty. Bathrooms had no soap and ice running below my feet. Disgusting and not worth paying any amount of money for.

Very nice experience. I appreciate the changes/updates/upgrades done here in recent years.I remember when cards werent accepted here and tickets werent sold on Fandango to their shows. Unfortunately there is still a bottleneck when it comes to entering with a pre-purchased-electronic ticket confirmation. For some reason, this theaters ticket purchase doesnt generate a QR code (perhaps because they havent upgraded to the scanners to read them), but it does take a little longer for the confirmation code to be entered manually into their system, but its still progress.The new spacious seating with motorized- reclining seats means there is no possibility of being kicked in the back of your seat (unless the person is over 7 tall and careless). There were no disruptions or rude patrons. This is definitely a welcome change from the old. Security is definitely worth giving another visit if you havent been in a while.

Yes the renovations are nice. However Seems like theater 3 has extra guests that are not welcomed. As we sat and watched our showing we too caught glimpse of mice not only on the floor but running across the seats! When we brought this to the managers attention he did not seem shocked, surprised, or even concerned at all. Reading these other reviews I certainly see why now, he already knew this. Disgusting and disappointing to say the least.

Been going to this Theater since I was a kid, and I love it. I even patronized them when they were going through construction. And now the finished product looks like a new Movie Theater.

I wanted to give it 4 to 5 stars but I just couldnt. I took my daughter out for a nice dinner and movie to celebrate the awesome job shes been doing in school and around the house and it fell short when we got to the movie theater. I had to trash my little girl dinner she had left and she wanted to save for when we got home. It wasnt open but it wasnt in a bag. I wanted to leave but my lovely daughter wanted to stay, so she just said she would throw it away sadly which we did. But its crazy to me that you have people drinking up a storm and trash everywhere.

New chairs, same Security AMC. I stopped frequenting this location prior to the renovations. But once I heard they spruced things up...I gave it another chance. First 2x were fine. 3rd times the charm. I sat down about 20-minutes prior to a movie so the lights were still on. Got relaxed, then out of my peripheral I see movement on the floor and I catch the hind parts of 2-mice running under the chair in front of me. Then a few moments later I saw one running under my recliner chair. I BOOKED IT outta there to the manager. She was nice enough to refund my money (no convenience fee was refunded as I bought tickets through the AMC app) and informed she needed to call the exterminator.She did not seem surprised and I have a feeling it wasn’t the first time. I recommend skip this place unless you’re prepared to play the floor is lava.

Date Nights are nice with our AMC Stubs card up to three movies for free weekly.

It was horrible, there was only one person available to buy tickets, we had to wait in line out side in the cold instead of being able to walk in to purchase tickets. Once you got snacks or popcorn the counter where you put butter on the popcorn was filled with trash and mess, the bathrooms were dirty and a mess, during the movie there were young teenagers running around the theatre playing and being immature, it wasnt a good experience for me

AMC security square 8 is a recently remodeled movie theater. Unfortunately it is a chain so it lacks the charm of an old independent theater. And isnt that large so you dont get the heavily staggered seating of some larger theaters in the area. But you can almost always get a ticket and it never gets super crowded. And the do serve alcohol and have all the associated movie snacks and food. To put simply Id only recommend if you cant find decent seats somewhere else or if its the closest theater to you.

Im a stubs premier member and I was made to wait for standard members to get served first. The place couldve been a bit more clean too. The Lion King was pretty good too but the service I received was below average

I went with three friends to see the 7:00 p.m. screening of Harriet tonight-October 31, 2019. Roughly about one hour into the film, the movie screen went blank. We sat in cinema 1 for between five to ten minutes. (The manager said five.) No one from the AMC Security Square Cinema 8, in Baltimore, Maryland, came into cinema 1 to address movie goers as to the reason for the “paused” film. There was also no apology after the film. In fact, the manager was nowhere to be found. I asked two workers in the concession stand about a refund, and the gentleman told me I would have to talk to the manager. The gentleman then called the manager to say that another customer (that’s me) was asking for a refund. The manger told the gentleman to tell me no. I asked why. The manager said because the power went out, and it was only for five minutes. Hmmm. I spent $46.71 cents on four tickets to watch a movie from start to finish. Yet the manager thought it sufficient for us to watch a film that was rewound, like we used to do on our VCRs, to the spot before the disruption-Unacceptable! Every person in cinema 1 deserved an explanation, an apology, and a refund from the manager. I am waiting.

3 stars because its close to home and the seats are comfortable. If you go at a time where there are very few teenagers, great experience. Adults make less of a mess and dont talk on their phones during the show. Any other time, not so great. The staff is young and super friendly, but there often arent enough people working, so the cleanliness of the theater often suffers. There is also a HUGE problem with outside voice conversations happening during the films. I know we cant control peoples behavior, but the establishment should do more to make sure everyone is having an enjoyable experience. Going to the movies is too expensive these days to have to walk on a sticky floor with popcorn on it, then listen to someones phone conversation.

This is one of the best movie theaters I been to in this city and I lived in it.I just moved to the area that theater is in and I have to say its awesome the service is fantastic, I got my popcorn in less then 8 seconds. The reclining seats are vary comfortable and they recline too... AWESOME! The bathrooms are kind of clean but better then the White Marsh bathrooms. Over all this theater is good. 4 1/2 out of 5 if I could.

I gave it 4 stars because the seating is very comfortable, the movie was great (Tyler Perry) and the staff was GREAT. However, they were short staffed, I asked the manager did a lot of people call out, he said yes, but yet he was stilling smiling while working HARD. Went to go see The Lion King. Had a gift card wanting to redeem so Normally, I would not post such a low score, but I think all AMC locations should hold the same type of standards. This particular location has deplorable conditions at the beverage station. Not only did a purchase three movie tickets, but purchased concessions as well. Cashier 8326 was very polite and kept apologizing for items that were not available. Why offer a special and cannot fully provide what was purchased. I ask another worker could I obtain a larger beverage, ( because all flavors of the Icee machine was inoperable). She was not able to honor my request. Nor was she willing to assist for items not available as purchased.This is the only location that the upkeep is below standards.( that I have viewed) .I like that this location is closer to my home, but I have driven to other AMC locations ( Columbia, Owings Mills), and this is definitely not the conditions you see throughout the theater. Do better, be better AMC.

We had a family outing at this movie theater on Monday 04/29/19. My grandson wanted to see the latest superhero movie I believe it was The Avengers. We stood in this long line to get the regular hot dogs, popcorn and soda. I finally got to the front of the line to order. I looked and saw 6 hot dogs spinning on the hot dog machine. I order two hot dogs one for me and one for my grandson. The guy looked at me and said they are already taken I asked by who ? He responded anything else? But by who I asked again? My daughter had to let me know that they possibly belonged to the prime customers. Ok but if you see a long line then why havent you put on more hot dogs. This guy never even brother to answer me. I order chicken fingers, and popcorn. The popcorn was stale, the chicken fingers was horrible. This movie theater is over price with bad customer service and stake food. I have to wonder if the prime customers popcorn was fresh and if their chicken fingers and hot dogs was on point. Because for me and my family our experience with this over price movie theater was horrible. I am glad that you renovate this building but you also need to renovate customer service.

I love going to AMC on Tuesday to catch a discounted movie. This theater is newly renovated with a bar area and the cinemas offer reclined seating. Its best to buy tickets online because seating is reserved. Great place to take the family for an outting.

Small and very comfortable chairs. The cinema is also small its almost like its just you in the this big dark room and a giant TV and a cold beverage who does not love that.

The theater is decent at best. But there is something wrong with the audio playing on screen 6. The audio is coming only from the front speakers and is too quiet, to the point you sometimes cant tell what is being said. Thats fine for a lot of movies, but anything action/fantasy/comic movie related, it is the worst.

Staff friendly and helpful . The new remodel is nice so nice that I became a stuns member. The bar is also a nice touch of youre a movie goer like myself. The downside is before the remodel there was a rodent problem. Sad to say to rodent problem is back bigger and better. Walked out of a movie 10min in ...fix it guys!

Its a movie theatre. Pretty much exactly what u would expect. Coolness points for the reclining chairs :) uncoolness points for the attitudes of the peeps working there. Checking bags for drinks n snacks. Come on...I didnt expect to literally be searched pockets and everything and I am a normal looking person lol nothing bulging outta my bag or pockets. It was upsetting cuz by the time they were done with that ridiculous practice I missed the previews!!! So grrr for that.I have to say, tho, that if I sign up for AMC rewards movies are only 5$ all day on Tuesdays and thats a steal of a deal esp nowadays ;)All in all, dont try to buck the system and take in your own food(go to landmark theatres in harbor east for that) and go enjoy a five dollar flick one of these Tuesdays! Treat yourself!!!

I had to stand outside in the rain for a movie ticket and when I finally got into the theater after paying $25.00 for two adult seats. About an hour into the movie I saw a mouse running around on the floor. I picked up my purse because I didnt want to take them home with me but I was totally upset and will never go back again. Plus they just renovated the place. I guess they should have closed while the work was being done cuz why spend all that money to update the theater if you still got mice running around.

The theater and seats were very nice but they were high priced on the snack bar. They need to offer better deals on combos and they were out of hot dogs. Other than that we enjoyed our movie. Ive never spent $60 on a movie outing though.

The concession stand was pretty long. We stood in line for 25 minutes. Our seats were broke. The 2 seats we purchased didnt recline. However, the manager compensated us for our tickets. Also, the atmosphere was pretty cool.

AMC stubs list member so I only go to AMC theaters . This is the closet one to me. It really is a hit or miss. Sometimes its really clean and not crowded. Then other times its crowded and the maintenance is not up to par. I like the fact that there is a mall right next to it.

Staff was amazing! Only problems were my seat was possessed, and the walls are too thin, we could hear the movie next door. And the prices, but we all expect the ridiculous prices at this point. As for the chair, theres a button apparently that you end up sitting on. I just spent some time going up and down.

Its decent. This location could use better management when it comes to long ticket lines, though! There always seem to be ONE person handling long lines for ticket purchasers! I waited almost twenty-five minutes to get a ticket to see the movie!They were fair though. Due to the slow moving lines (the concession stand seemed to have had some issues too), they delayed the start time of the show, so thumbs up to them for doing that! Other than that, its clean. No major complaints.
