Very nice fairly safe easy hike if you just want to get out of nature for a few minutes.
Awesome!!! We panned for gold but no luck. A wise man once said if it was easy everybody would be doing it. He was right.
I love to stop here on my way home from Baker City. Great place to stretch your legs or let the dogs play. And you can get some pretty amazing selfies here too
Its an outstanding area with a great trail, I went magnet fishing today there In the powder river and pulled out a nice little knife out of the water, and I pulled out a magnetic little rock.. too cool!.. Its just a beautiful area but can be shady in morn and evening as its in a valley between mountains.. so heads up stay warm!.
Excellent stopover for a break, picnic, hike or fishing.
Is a very nice riverpath about 1.2 miles Loop that goes over two Bridges. A neat place to hike
Love this place wonderful views
We had a great visit here today, a lot to explore. Swimming, hiking, boyoking is what we did in a couple areas.
Great place for kids. you can walk the path and take in the beauty around you. the sound of the water and the birds is relaxing. great place to take your children and show them the beauty that still exists outside of a town or city.
A nice area to spend some time walking or relaxing on benches along Powder River interpretive sites loop trail. Theres also fishing spots along the river or up river at Mason Dam Picnic Area. Trail can be reached from upper parking picnic area where restrooms are located or down at lower parking interpretive area. Two bridges connect the north and south parts of the trail. Powder Basin Watershed Council out of Baker City holds annual Spring and Fall River Cleanups through help of volunteers.
A few good paved parking spaces. Nice trail. Watch out for wood splinters on the fence!
