You have to make reservations over the phone at least one week ahead. Thet do not have tours every day. They will send you an email with instructions. You have to be punctual as the tour only lasts around 20 minutes. Very nice tour with friendly staff. They will let you in most of the rooms on the first floor but the second floor is off limits. Best of all, its free.

I wanted to come visit here but it’s closed. a little disappointed — is this maybe a mistake? everything except bars are open so i figured the mansion of the governor who opened everything back up would be as well. will you be opening in time for school so students can have the option to go on field trips here?

Ostentatious, ridiculous excess, big. The governors mansion is an informative and representative relic of the Texas state history.

Great that the public is able to tour. Lasted only 20 minutes. Tour encompasses only the first 4 front rooms of the first level of the house. We could tell our guide was passionate about the history. Must reserve a tour spot at least a week in advance.

Went down with Nana and Gramps at the behest of Dan Patrick to sacrifice them for the economy. Still nothing happened but our glorious leaders know more than we can ever fathom.

A lot of good men and women have come to this place and it served a wonderful purpose. Historical absolutely, but we cannot deny that a lot of good has been done through this office. I love history and yet theres so much to see and do just in this mansion.

Great building with a lot of history. The reconstruction effort after the fire seems to have been completed while preserving what was left.

Beautiful building. The reconstruction seems to be taking forever though. You cant even see much of the exterior due to the construction. Not worth your time until finished.
