Used this park for disk golf. Nice course, pretty well marked, shaded, not too many places to lose a disk. Plenty of parking. The bridge from parking to the first tee has been demolished requiring a bit of a scramble across a bayou.
Had a great playmate and enough activity centers to keep my little girl busy for days. Nice scenery too and looks well maintained.
Huge park with space for lots of activities right downtown. Great disc golf course with long runs. Tree coverage provides plenty of shade.
Ayo I love this park I go walk around with my family and dog. I love it because it has a feild which I believe people use for playing soccer, it also has a pavilion space that can be rented to have parties. I like to go for a swim in the river with my dog sometimes too. Overall a great park to relax after a day at work or school.
Well-maintained, beautiful disc golf course! A nice mix of long, short, with dog legs left and right. Majority of the course has a low ceiling, encouraging placement shots.
This park is beautiful and a great place to take your family and pets. Theres lots of different places you can discover, from sandy canyons to cool water fronts. If youre looking for nature and scenery inside the city, this is the perfect place for you to go.
Secret beach water is still nice but the beach part is trashed out. Broken glass beer bottles, plastic water bottles everywhere. Too bad. Watch out for the super strong current in the afternoon when they open the dam, dont take your eyes off your kids! Put your dry stuff on high ground.
Summary: White tail deer, plenty of parking, some great shade trees and a great playgroundDetails:Located just off the Colorado River, this park has just about everything for the family putting from plenty of room and grass for frisbee or soccer to a playground with large shade trees for kids 2-10. Its a very neat park that us clean and appears to be safe.
Amazing place to hike with your puppies! It is huge! Very nice people around, great parking and very clean as well.
Nature in all its beauty! I just wish some of the spray paint by vandals as seen here would be removed.
Great gated playground with lots of space for the young ones to run around. Nice walking trails, if you enjoy collecting rocks the secret beach is a great spot for that, or have your dog play in the river.
Clean park! Restrooms are decent, huge play place for kids (closed due to covid19) grass fields for picnics with lots of shade, many of trails to walk/bike/run-good for dog walking!
The fire ants there are candied and magnificent. There are lunar desert paths where brush howls in the wind and a lot of sincere sinewy silences.
I Love this park! It caters mostly to Disc Golf, Soccer, Softball, and the Kids Playground but there is river access, tons of wild life, and woods to get lost in. Careful because it spans Grove/Riverside all the way to Pleasant Valley/Cesar Chaves so if you get lost the car may be a few miles away!
Beautiful and spacious park. Feels like youre not even in the city anymore! And nice spots along the water to hang out at.
This park is a hidden gem in Austin an whats great about itis how clean an natural it has been taken care of for all familyrecreational use .
Beautiful fairways with nice large trees. Long course and very fun to play.
Great disc golf course. 90% shaded so its playable even during the summer
Peaceful river. Not many people know about this hidden gem. Water flow is better than Barton creek.
Great disc golf course. Long beautiful fairways. Could use some scoring adjustments, change par 4s to 5s on a few holes.
The discgolf course was a long one and a lot of fun.
Very nice park, not a lot of people either. Very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere
Another great park for families. The playground is gated so your kiddos wont wander off. They have open fields that are great for playing catch or whatever sport you like. They have a hiking trail that leads to the secret beach or not so secret beach. The restrooms are usually clean. They have a Pavillion for birthday parties which I have reserved a few times for birthday parties and the kids loved it. Parents loved it too because you can see the kids from the pavilion. You do have to pay to reserve but its well worth it. If you havent been and live in Central/South Austin or just like to explore this is a lovely little gem.
It was so beautiful. There was also the Secret Beach attraction was an added bonus.
Nice trails for walking and got to see some wildlife!
Kiddos and I enjoyed the time we spent together here.
Honestly one of the biggest disc golf courses Ive been to. Each hole is multiple driver throws at least!
Wonderful, peaceful, tucked away. There are bike trails, secret beach, baseball fields, disc golf areas, you name it! This is one of the better parks and all of Austin and it is still just a bit of a secret. Enjoy it!
The room had no sheets for couch bed, no pillows available in room or at front desk or at all for couch bed, toilet paper roll was in wrapping paper, enough towels for 1 person. We had to ask for many things and they were out of several things with a very low occupancy. The front desk staff was unfriendly and unavailable, staying in the office. The carpet was not cleaned in the room, hallways or elevator. I was allergic to the down pillows and requested to have cotton. They said thats all they had and left it at that. The upper management was standing by the front doors looking out in the morning and would not say hello or anything when we said,Good morning.
Its a cool and relaxing park with lots of deer.
Lots of great trails and wildlife to see.
This place is a cool spot to walk and check out the wildlife. Someone takes good care of it as its still a work in progress.
Excellent playground very safe new and fun for the children.
Great easy walk in beautiful park.
Its a beautiful place to go to for young and oldhard to get to the water so be careful make sure you can walk down a steep hill
Great park, family & pet friendly ( awesome disc golf course) plenty on wildlife, great Shade
Great for running. Safe atmosphere, plenty of river access. Shaded with a cool boardwalk addition.
Beautiful park! Spacious, beautiful landscaping and had a nice family atmosphere. Restrooms were closed for maintenance but otherwise great facility.
Great course. Long, lots of shade, really fun!
It was clean and very beautiful to walk the trails
There were so few people there, I couldnt believe I was still in Austin. There are covered picnic tables, trails that lead to water, and beautiful views.
Nice running and cycling path. Good to hang out.
A family favorite, loved it so much, has everything we need for a day trip.
We love this large playground and enjoy treking it to the Secret Beach. This is one of our favorite play spots.
This park is awesome! Super expansive and technical!
Dope disc golf course. Very technical nothing like it in the Austin area.
Love this park. Was ideal for this event!
Secret Beach is a great place to swim and social distance.
GetBeautifulEnergy.com Park is Amazing ️
Beautiful lush park. Perfect for an impromptu gathering.
Park appears to be closed... or maybe just the bridge is closed, idk.
Get out of the house and enjoy nature!
Great park with walking trails and sports facilities, right on the Colorado and in city limits.
The disc golf course is absolutely beautiful. Going through some remodeling so access is a little hard to get across the creek bed, but its a wonderful park!
Clean bathrooms and a great place to exercise. Alot of homeless people in the area. Lock your car and hide valuables. Beware of construction in the area.
I grew up here in this neighborhood, before this area was a park. It was a trailer park that was really quite. Not sure why they closed it down. To visit place now is a a great feeling. I bring my three little ones and enjoy the playground. If only they had it covered because the sun makes everything hot to the touch. Not very safe for children on a hot day. Other than that the restrooms are kept clean and the surrounding area also.
Beautiful, large park. Not enough signage and the layout is a bit confusing.
Great little hidden away disc golf course
Nice, beautiful, spacious park.
I enjoy how clean & well maintained the park and trail are kept. I do my daily walking through there. It is also nice to be able to take some interesting photographs. There are some very nice doors down by the Colorado River.
Great place to hike in the peak of summer in the early to mid-morning hours when temps are on the mid-80s before the day heat peaks above 105° F.
Everytime I come here l see a few or a family of dear...walk the trails with my family and its just beautiful here...
Theres a beach, and its a secret.
This is such a beautiful park! The playground is one of the best weve seen. It has swings, climbing rocks, slides -- pretty much everything you could ask for and plenty of resting space for mom and dad. The biggest bonus, its fenced in, so the kiddos can run free and be safe. There are also a ton of picnic tables nearby, fairly clean restroom and some beautiful trails. We even took a walk over to the secret beach, which was beautiful. We put down our blanket and put our feet into the water. It was sunny, warm and relaxing. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back soon!!
Love this park. Great playground, beach on the colorado river, and hike/bike trails that hook up with town lake trails. Its undergoing some restoration due to past floods, but still wonderful place.
The kiddos love this park and so do I.
My family, dogs and myself go here frequently. Love their trail and park. Its Big good for jogging walking and biking. Totally recommend.
Always plenty of parking, decent bathrooms and beautiful trails. Please dont disturb the natural habitat.
Good.water access :)
Probably my favorite DG course in Austin
Nice walking and bike trail but u definitely have to watch out for others cause they will run u over.lol
This is my favorite park in Austin
Great place for baseball volleyball and disc golf and the beach is great when the dam is open
This park in the heart of Austin is a great blend of developed sports fields and urban hiking trails along the bottom lands of the Colorado River just below Ladybird Lake. Parking is usually not a problem except at the busiest times (Saturdays mid-day).You can even kayak at the damn outlet from Ladybird Lake.
So much fun and beautiful area! Loved swimming in the river! Great for dogs.
With the current construction its very confusing to get to the disc golf course. On another note, it gets very humid in the trees along the course and there are tons of mosquitoes. Youve been warned...
Beautiful view and nice open space to teach one about the game of Disc Golf. #GrowTheSport
Didnt get to go to far down the trail, but it was very serene and lovely.
Love this park. Just need the bridge rebuilt that connects to Krieg Fields.
Well Manicured park
Long, well laid out course, w/ the best tee boxes in the world, maybe.
I go here to hike and play disc golf. The course is a great course that will challenge even championship quality pros, but it sure aint the same magic course that Peace Park once was. Shame on City of Austin and the old fogies at the Peace Park Conservancy. We need some modern day minds up in the business. If you have read the news lately, it aint disc golfers causing erosion, its the flash floods.
Course was in great shape
The place was amazing... The perfect place to create good memories whit your family
Great course. Very challenging. Stay in the fairway.
Beautiful but technical course.
If You look Closely you might catch a view of Baby Bambi n Momma Deer ...Great place for a hike with a Secret lake
Awesome playground surrounded by lots of green space. There are two playscapes, one for smaller children and one for older kids. There are some covered picnic tables nearby.
Nice walks and cute river beach
A beautiful place. A piece of nature thats well preserved. Took the family frisbee golfing andstumbled upon a family of deer. My daughters eyes were heart warming.
Great place to play/watch a ball game.
Best place to take your dogs on a long hike!
Nice to be near water homeless friendly
Great, enormous park. Awesome ball fields, playground, trails, river, frisbee golf in the shade. Get lost and forget youre still in the city. Dont let the Dallas fckheads (or Atlanta or wherever theyre from) tear down the affordable apartments standing adjacent. The city wants to clear the way for developers to bulldoze the surrounding areas and build a luxury living corridor down Riverside and Lakeshore with pitiful promises of 8% affordable housing... while casually lopping off pieces of Roy G Park (City R.O.W. by their maps) to enable the sick disembodiment of this modest, down-home neighborhood. Protect Roy G, protect your city against the carpetbaggin greed-mongers and community-haters. Roy G has suffered enough flooding and damage due to developments upstream. Resist luxury development around Roy G!!
Could be beautiful, but the amount of trash and debris is a stark reminder of how far we still have to go as a green city.
Beautiful area
Love visiting during weekdays when its not crowded. The deer casually graze oblivious to humans unless you get too close. Walking the trails I have seen a Whooping crane. Cool place.
Certain spots its like you are no where near a city
