This is a great recreation center. Its nice that there are things to do in austin. You can also vote here and that was a great experience as well.

Like all of the rec centers in Austin. Amazing!

Great open field for kite flying on a windy day. (No facilities use during covid btw)

1st time visit. Went to vote.

I hadn’t even realized how cool neighborhood recreation centers are until my daughter started attending the free Totally Cool Totally Art classes twice a week. Wonderful classes. They even get to learn the art of cooking Dow a few of the classes. The center is convenient to the surrounding neighborhoods so it’s a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bike from our home. My daughter does art with wonderful teachers, meets young artists from all over Austin and shows her art at the Daughtery Arts Center and the Mixtec a few times a year. We are enjoying the work she creates there, the other kids stuff is mind bending too. Some of them are friends now.This is only one terrific program. The summer camp was unbelievable. My kid loved it.There are basketball teams, yoga, rock climbing, free movies, martial arts and tiny kids classes too. There’s usually some events going on to bring the family to.Everyone who has access to this place is lucky.We are.

Free public basketball court. Event rooms can be reserved for a fee. Clean facility, friendly staff. EV charging stations too.

We had an awesome adventure on the playscape.

It was a great place to get some good quality workout time in, the staff was very courteous and kind!

Great rec center for camp! Wonderful staff & counselors. 2/week pool trips and 1/field trips. Lots of activities and my 7 year old made great friends.

Nice facility in an easy to get to location. Was there for a club meeting not exercise. The room we were in was nice. Mens room was a bit strange with only one stall but had two showers. Had a line of people all waiting for that one toilet.

Love Northwest Rec Center. The Zumba class there is one of the best in the city!!

I thought this rec center was great, but theres nothing special about it. There are rooms for different kids of events, a large parking lot to accomidate more than 100 vehicles, a very large field holding various equipment, clean restrooms, etc. The staff are helpful too.

I go here every day and its a great place to go exercise or just hang out.and they have wifi

Very unwelcoming towards African Americans. As most places in this town they give greetings and red carpet treatment to the non AA patrons and display a very unwelcoming attitude otherwise. Looking forward to leaving Austin for ever. Im going back to membership clubs, they can have their whitey utopia to themselves.

This is an awesome beautiful PUBLIC park that is a 5 star picture perfect for doing video work. I invite everyone, if your ever near this park, to stop by and film within it.Sometimes there may even be children in the background, which adds to that family warmth to your videos.I must add, the staff and/or the director is EXTREMLY prejudice towards others. (As i also see in previous reviews, before i ever came to this state and area )The director tries unsuccessfully to make this his own personal private park.Why? It is in my own personal opinion, that the director may be a chomo, a child molestor, as he fits the profile and behaviours in many ways, based on my own past personal experiences, and this scares me, and should scare any parents who bring their children here.I also have a very kind friendly video conversation that i have had with a police officer at this location, 2 different times, (and my friend 3 times) that responded to the directors 911 call, that proves exaggerations and lies the director made, and the responding officer agreeing that the directors allegations and nature of the directors call to be false and direct lies of the directors overly paranoid claims, that are easily proven untrue.I will eagerly and happily spend up to $1200 a month, every month, and 40-50 hours of my free time each week, all of which i can easily spare, with discoveries of the directors past, and to have the director removed from his position, easily, because if someone is caught, as they were, creating lies and exaggerations, it is truly normal human nature that the lies occur often, due to their own normal behaviours, and moral actions and words, to repeat those behaviours, and surely not to be just this one time, in their own life. All caught on video, and easily proven. I and others, are going to release these video clips, exposing this story, on the youtube channel, posted under this same screen name

Great neighborhood rec center, with lots of free activities and a clean facility.

Ive been here 3 times for a folk group meet up, and dig this neighborhood gem. The building is on the older side, but everyone working there is nice and friendly and they have tons of space.

Nice facility, how ever it has odd operations. No online calendar to schedule your activities too.

The staff and facilities are great. It almost seems too small to meet the needs of the neighborhood around it, but its really just that Id love to have more and more of it.

They host the Austin Fly Fishers the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6 pm.

Showers not clean or in good shape..fees for everything on top of taxes already paid. No real weights or TRX, rowing machines.Closed all day Sunday, poor hours otherwise to cater to some administrator.Complain with council member Pool and 311.
