Amazing golf experience from tee to bar afterwards. Once you arrive on site the staff are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need. The range is awesome with lots of flags to hit to and the pitching area is great too. Course is amazing, great layout, condition was immaculate, and very challenging from every tee and skill level. Restaurant food and drinks were great and the pro shop had a bunch of items to purchase. Clubhouse was gorgeous with a old school feeling mixed with some modern decor and lots of history and memorabilia stored inside that you should definitely take a look at.

We first became aware of East Lake Golf Club back in 1963 when it was still called the Atlanta Athletic Club and it was the host club to the 15th biennial Ryder Cup match. Although the US Team won by the blow-out score of 23 to 9 points, in amongst all the carnage, the stand-out result we thought was Peter Alliss beating the seemingly unbeatable Arnold Palmer in their singles match, by 1-up.The name change to East Lake Country Club occurred not too long afterwards in 1968. However by the 1980s, East Lake had decayed somewhat as a golf course of any relevance. But in 1993 a local charitable foundation purchased East Lake and restored it as a tribute to East Lake home course golfer, Bobby Jones. The East Lake Foundation was also created and all proceeds from operations at East Lake Golf Club go to support the East Lake Foundation, that has helped transform one of the nations worst public housing projects into a thriving community. In 1994, Rees Jones, son of golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, restored the original Donald Ross golf course design at East Lake to its current layout with its signature hole being the 168-yard, par-3 6th hole, that plays from an elevated tee to a diagonally angled peninsula/island green. We were in Atlanta in 1996 for the Olympic Games and just 2yrs later in 1998, the Tour Championship was hosted at East Lake for the first time.In 2005 East Lake was named the permanent home of the Tour Championship Fedex finale, for the top 30 golfers, with the 2020 iteration being held between the 4th & 7th September with Dustin Johnson the eventual winner.

This place is absolutely stunning. Sure the turf is great, but this place really shines in the small details. All the trees are trimmed and out of the way. All the flower beds are well taken care of and gorgeous. The horticulture staff does an incredible job. Better than any other course Ive been to.

The home of Bobby Jones and one of Americas greatest golf courses. The reversal of the ones nines means no longer finishing on a par 3 but rather on a spectacular par five. Always in great shape, highly recommended.

Went here for the FEDEX cup, private course. Wish I could play here! Course looked great for having so many people walking on it. This past year I don’t think the were prepared for the amount of people that would come out to see Tiger Woods, they were running low on food and drink. But all and all it was a great experience.

This course is amazing. Got the chance to play it two weeks after the Tour Championship came through so the course was in Immaculate shape. Its pretty straight forward TD Grand but what makes it tough is the fast greens and the heavy rough. Everything you could want and a golf course. Hopefully I have the opportunity to play again.

Originally part of the Atlanta Athletic Club (which is now located 23 miles to the north in Johns Creek), the East Lake Golf Club is the home course of legendary golfer Robert Tyre Bobby Jones. It is also the oldest golf course in the city of Atlanta. East Lake is widely regarded as one of the USAs finest golf courses, an excellent quality tree-lined and open parkland layout.

The review posted by Jordan Wolf is completely off-base. He says, Im pretty sure they dont give back to the local community. Wolf should do his research. If he had, hed see that a simple Google search leads him to the East Lake Community Foundation - which is directly supported by ELGC. East Lake is the engine which has powered the revitalization of the entire community. Without it Drew Charter School would not exist. ELGC has been transformative for its neighborhood. So much so, that it is a national model for sustainable development which gives back to the community.

Have gone as a spectator several times to the the Coke Tour FedEx championship. Layout of the course is great for getting close to the players. Staff, for the most part are knowledgeable and helpful. That said, 2017 tournament was our least favorite year as there was poor signage. People everywhere couldnt find the bathrooms and even the staff didnt know. One old guy had me walk 500yds the wrong direction when the bathrooms were 20ft behind him.
