Love this course! I call it my home course now. I would give it 5 stars except that the bunkers are in poor shape. Hopefully they will repair those soon! Otherwise great layout. Some challenging holes. Staff is awesome! Everyone you come in contact with greets you will a genuine smile!
Regular player. Great staff & layout. Not perfect but very few are at this price point. Fore pass makes it worthwhile.
I completely enjoyed playing this course. The front side seems to be a little easier and then the back side becomes a shot making course.
A very nice ITP course thats reasonably priced! Will definitely be back.
Great place to hone your game.
Great place to play golf .
Conditions have improved immensely
Today was my first time playing this course and I really enjoyed it will be coming back soon
Nice place to have fun
It is a challenging golf course with 4 par 5s
Great layout, but fairways not cut very well. Fairways did not run out at all. Bunkers are filled with rocks. Like actual rocks. I hit a ball into the green side trap and it bounced 50 yards onto the next hole.Greens-inconsistent, 5/10 at best.Pace of play-they allowed an 8some to be in the course... enough said.Compared to browns mill or chastain, this course is much worse and neglected which is a shame because the layout is fun and different yet it all is for nothing.
I loved it
Nice course make sure you get out early to beat the crowd.
Great place to come play golf and relax
Great course!
Fairways & rough in good shape. Greens recovering. Course looking good.
AwesomeWas pleasantly surprised at how well the course is improving.
Great place for family fun. Splashpad and pool.
Nostalgic decent greens nice staff clean good golf carts...during week 1 can finish 9 in less than 2 1/2 hours
A really nice place to play esp. for good but not great golfers. No water!
We just happened to pass by this golf course on our way to Adams Park for our annual family reunion. The golf course was very nice looking and well kept from what I saw.
Nice large park. Pool . Playground, baseball ️, football are all well maintained. Park also has ample parking. Adjacent to a police department and golf facility adds to overall atmosphere.
Friendly staff and well keep course! Very reasonable fees!
Was pleasantly surprised at how well the course is improving. Cudos to Denys, Ian and other staff who seems to be doing a really good job!! Grass is growing in the fairways now. Only things to improve are the bunkers. Overall, great improvement!!
GREAT course. Very Good condition, excellent staff. Enjoyable / challenging hills. Will definitely be back!
Course In pretty bad shape, we had a 4 some that wanted play some place close after work . So we chose this one about 15 mins away.So after making the turn to number 10 a motorist proceeded to honk his horn while flipping us the finger and screaming racial slurs at our group, then stopped his car, got out and proceeded to scream racial slurs and threaten to shoot us all if we didn’t go back to our white neighborhoods. So all in all not a bad track if you like fearing for your life
Always a good test. Greens still need work.
Very difficult course. Must have been gorgeous in its heyday
Cant go wrong for the price
Nice place highly recommend
One of the better public courses I played. Greens, even in the fall were well maintained. Fairways were good as well. Course had a few challenges... but wasnt so hard it couldnt be enjoyed.Bunkers need to be improved pretty much on every hole-- not sure if it was like that due to recent rain, but they werent in good condition (I try to stay out of them anyway so it wasnt too much of an issue lol).Facilities (bathrooms, etc) on course probably need some attention and update.Overall, I had a great time, and will come back when I come back to ATL.
Course is in great condition...greens are improving!
Worked out perfectly for me. The greens were fabulous. The fairways could use some improvements. Not far from the airport. Very nice and professional staff. They even recommended a great breakfast place to me. And the price was very affordable.
Great place to walk your dog over by the lake area
This is a very nice gem hidden in the neighborhood. Extremely peaceful and it has a pool, tennis courts, baseball field and a big lovely fountain.
Enjoyed my round
I played twice this week for the first time.Pros:Great layout with plenty of blind shots. Holes 9 and 17 are intimating where you hit over a 100 deep valley to the greens. The wooded areas are ever present, where you can lose plenty of balls.Cons:The FAIRWAYS need more grass, too much dirt. The grass that exists in FAIRWAYS needs to be cut, so that you can find your ball. The GREENS are rough and worn and need some TLC.OVERALL, I rate the golf course 6 of 10.I hope they step-up and address these issues, because I want to continue to play there.Vince
A great place to go golfing if you good at it
Went on a day after a rainy day and I gotta say the course drained well. Better than Browns Mill after a rain day. Highly impressed with the conditions of the course after the rain
Great place to play, and its reasonable
Excellent golfing.
Course is better than it was after the city took over from golf zing 15 bucks for nine holes is a plus
Very nice course. A few holes need some maintanence. But a fabulous deal for the price
This course has not been maintained well at all. Fairways are hard and dry and dont allow tee shots to run. There is no driving range so you cant even warm up before a round. Also, there is no regard for the upkeep of the course by the people playing. People drove the golf carts all over the fairways and ruffs. I wouldnt recommend this course at all. There are much better and cheaper courses out there.
Dont remember this place to be honest but every where i go is a nice place so.
Swimming pool adjacent to; and fun!
One of the nicest hidden gems in Atlanta. A great course to walk and enjoy the scenery.
Great course, and in the city easy to get to
We really enjoyed our round. Trythe course, you will enjoy yourtime.
Cheap is what you pay for. We paid $23 to tee off on Sunday at 12:00pm for out scheduled 11:15am tee time. They were so backed up that it was ridiculous. Regardless, things like these happen at golf courses so I will not hold it against them. Unfortunately, I will hold the non grass tee boxes against them. Nearly all of the greens were in awful condition. The fairways consisted of dirt with few patches of grass. The course is tremendously difficult to play because youre playing off of dirt the entire time. I had 5 fairway splitting drives where I couldnt find my ball because of the poor conditions of the course. Overall, if youre looking for a cheap course in the Atlanta area, stick with North Fulton of Bobby Jones. Alfred Tup Holmes will only leave you dissatisfied with a sour taste in your mouth. PS: What kind of nickname is Tup...???
Played the front 9 while down on business. Excellent course and staff.
A good example of terrible upkeep of a golf course you would not want to see. Fairways are terrible more like playing in a pasture. makes one wonder if the golf supervisor really cares or if they have anyone supervising the maintenance. I played this course 8/20/16 not looking forward to returning. replace the staff responsible for upkeep
Always a nice place to play and very affordable
This course is in a much better condition than the first time I played here and now with new carts
Alfred Tup Holmes is the worst golf course Ive ever played. On my last outing there (July 2, 2016), which was no different than my first in 2014, the course was in horrible shape. One bright note: Andreas customer service delivery was excellent; she listened to my complaint and took an appropriate action (she provided a rain check to play free of charge at Browns Mill between now and July 18). Hats off to her! On the other hand, Browns Mill is barely better than Tup when it comes to course conditions. At Tup, there were no discernible fairways; only a hodgpodge of weeds and hardpan. On one of the hottest days of the season, two water coolers! Sand dumped in the fairways, but none in the actual bunkers. The worst offense were the horrific tee boxes (see photo; 9 and 17 were the worst). I cant imagine ever playing there again. As a tribute to a man responsible for desegrating golf courses in Atlanta, this is the ultimate disservice to his memory. ZERO STARS for the course. FIVE STARS to Andrea for doing her best to promote the Players Club when at least one of the courses in that package is awful and another simply suspect.
Challenging course. Friendly staff and constantly improving conditions. Great experience.
A very well-groomed course affordable for us that dont have a lot to spend
Attentive staff and good course.
Very professional service to guess
Great place for golf!
More perks like a nice cafe restaurant.
Fun + fun
Nice place too play 9 or 18 holds
Close by & public course
Beautiful and alot of space
Love it
Good golf course
Nice chip and put area
The price is right, the course is adequately challenging, that being said maintenance is sadly lacking, the facility needs seeding and watering badly.
Its come a long way. Not the yet, but getting there.
Awsome
Love the places you nice
Ok
Course sucked!
Greens in back shape
Great
I dont play golf
Great

Great. Especially the Tup Holmes museum
Price toooo HIGH for the condition of the course!
Fun and challenging
Food and drinks very reasonable
I have not played the course yet but they have a beautiful golf course.
Challenging
Its a cheap in town course.
Pretty good course for the price in town
Didnt enjoy this place at all. The grass on the greens was about as long as a normal fairway. Will not be returning.
