The Ridges was unique. I walked around the perimeter, stayed on the street and sidewalk, and parked in designated parking. You can get out and look around. Dont go in buildings, be respectful. Really historic and unique architecture. Be careful of pokeberry and watch for the incredible influx of birds.

My favorite place to visit in Athens! On the weekends, its generally quiet and today was just beautiful.

This place is sooo. Creepy. We caught some evp around the building and had some birds watch us and you can feel the spirit there in tbe graveyard.. I wish i could ghost hunt on the inside of the building.

When going here do you have to pay and is it still abandoned and able to walk through?

Back to those days, I was an internship student here.

I stopped here back in 2014 on my way passing through. I remember it it was covered on the ABC show Scariest Places on Earth ( I know that the story was exaggerated). But even just taking pictures I felt an eerie feeling here. But it was a beautiful location.

My father was a local in the plains as a kid and played baseball in the summer. He brought me here and there is many weird legeneneds and a erie cemetery and much more. I recommend you going at nigjt for the full experience.
