Theres a lot of history packed into this place, and the best part about it are the veterans who welcome you in and show you around. It will be even better when their expansion is complete. Check it out when youre in Athens!

This museum is an absolutely enjoyable experience. All the artifacts are donated by veterans from the local area; the articles ranging from civil war area to Vietnam. Friendly volunteers help answer any questions you may have and make this a truly fitting musuem honoring our veterans.

Ive been going to this museum since it opened and it has grown into a truly remarkable collection of our Veterans and the conflicts in which they served. From the Revolutionary War to current conflicts, all are represented. Every first Saturday of the month the museum hosts Coffee Call, a free coffee and breakfast for Veterans of all wars. Its a wonderful museum and a wonderful event.

Very interesting museum. The volunteers that were there the day my family and I went were very knowledgeable and willing to share stories and information. The museum was out together from donations from the area. They have a regularly scheduled meeting once or twice a month also. If your in the area you should definitely pay a visit.
