Depending on what you are looking for in a park will determine, ultimately, how you feel about this park. I took my nieces to this park that was a large part of my childhood. They didnt want to leave, even going as far as to call us boring for wanting to move on. The feature that has always stood out to me is the Rocket Ship slide. It is a staple of this historic park. The rest of the equipment is pretty standard, including, swings, dome jungle gym, slides, and a merry-go-round. All in all, a great place to take your kids to play when in Athens, Tx.

My kids love the splash pad. This is one of the only places in Athens for kids to do anything fun.

Great Pavillion areas for Birthday Parties!!

Im so glad to see this park still being well maintained and many of the same things that I played on in the 70s are still here for future generations. It was always great to have my birthday parties here and spend summer days playing and catching crawfish in the creek. Keep yo the great job Athens. This is a gem of the city

Its a pretty small park. I certainly wouldnt recommend coming here if you are looking for exercise by walking around. The playground portion did look nice for little ones.

Kiwanis Park has been around a long time and its still a great place to go. The splash pad they added is super fun!! Its got everything you need. 10/10 ️

This place is great! Its well maintained and has lots of unique equipment. It has 2 merry-go-rounds (1 big/1 small) and it has a merry-go-round you hang from. It also has the standard playground with slides and monkey bars. It also has a tall rocket you can climb thats about 20 ft tall, and a big dome to climb on/in. It also has a small water area that has sprayers and dumping buckets but Ive never been during those times. Great place for any ages.

Good open area for dog walking. Very good playground equipment. Has an amazing oak tree with branches extending out about 40 to 50 feet horizontally from the trunk for sure worth seeing, appreciating & sitting under!

Been going here since I was a kid. Nice place to take kids to cool off in the splash pad or play on various fun equipment. Clean picnic areas. It is pretty here and dogs enjoy walks on leashes.

Centrally located park with new updates but some classic playground equipment. Swings, slides, jungle gyms, and balance beams to name a few. Bathroom nearby. There is a splash pad that operates here during the summer time. Plenty of covered picnic areas for parties or large groups.

Nice place to take the kids to cool off on a hot summer day. Would like to have more seating areas for parents & prefer to be shaded.

I rarely do reviews but when I took my daughter to Trinity Valley College to enroll, I had my 2 year old son with me so it was a pleasant surprise when I could take him here for a play day. It was Saturday so the water park side was active.. We had a blast from the merry go round, to the slides and etc!! Definitely lots to do! 5 stars from this single mommy Must Visit!

Seems to be a nice quiet clean place to stroll with your kids and dogs

My 3 grandkids had so much fun the splash park stays open until 8 pm then we just enjoy the swings and slides. Give a book take a book is there to read while grandkids play awesome I swung all 3 on the net swing and sang to them weve been 2 evenings in a row great to get out of the house too

This is the best park in Henderson Co the very best. It has nice shady awning with picnic tables, slides, swings and a splash pad so cute you just want to play all day pets are allowed on leashs there is bathrooms and its free to all benches all around under shady trees I LOVE THIS PLACE

Very clean with a lot of fun play space for families. Covered picnic tables with small outdoor grill provide areas for parties.

This is a nice clean park with a cool splash pad for kids. It seemed like it was on a timer too so if no one was playing there, or the park closed, the water would automatically turn off, which is great because it saves water. I think the city might be doing some renovations to the park because there was a whole part of the grounds that was sectioned off with caution tape.

This park has been around for many years. Love the upgrades yall did with this park.

My wife and I stop here occasionally and park under a huge tree while we eat lunch. The park is very clean and well kept. There is a nice fence around the park. We dont have little kids anymore, but we would bring our grandkids here to play here if they are ever with us when we visit Athens.

Lots of things for kids to do even adults they have a small library box where you can read some cool books they have plenty of swings and the large trademark rocket also the small water playground is part of the park and ITS FREE!!!

Its a nice place to go outside to sit under coverings to have a picnic, it was unkempt when I went, but Im from a larger city and dont know if they have the funds to keep it up, I loved that every race, creed etc. Was there really loved that.
