Great trails and nice area to go hiking. Can get a little busy sometimes and parking is small. Please wear something bright like blaze orange during hunting season to keep everyone safe.

Rather short little hike but there is a nice creek and pretty scenery.

Intermediate to strenuous trail. Would have been much nicer if it wasnt 96ﾟ out while doing it I plan on trying it again when the weather cools. I think over all total is 7.6 miles. Trail markers can be a little hard to follow but otherwise, the trail is pretty nice.

Good trail and a nice climb to the top

Trail begins right off the road. Small parking lot maybe 10 cars or so. We took the Birkhead mountain trail and followed the white blaze. The map is hard to read and the trails don’t populate on google maps (you should have signal the entire time too!) it said that birkhead was 6miles but does not loop... we didn’t have enough water to keep exploring and connect the other trails into a loop. If you do, maybe comment and let me know. :) we did two miles in and back out. Pics attached of some of the camp sites - pretty nice! Not all are near water.

Love the hike bit it leads nowhere. Wish this was a loop trail. We opted to take the road back top Thornburg, where we parked. 5.1 miles on road.

Great quiet trail, it does go straight up hill early on but you rarely see many people on the trail at once.

Great place for a day hike or an overnight trip.

A tornado hit our trail and we have a lot of down trees . It will take us a few weeks to clean it up .

One of my favorite places to hike and camp in the fall through early spring. There are some camping sites quite close to the parking lot which make it a suitable place for taking someone on their first backpacking trip or for a quick overnight after work. The trail is why did easy to follow but at times it can be quite rugged.It can get quite humid here and there can be a lot of mosquitoes at times.Remember, if you pack it in please pack it out.

Course layout is amazing. Views are beautiful. All but 2 greens were great. Great condition otherwise.

Challenging course with the rocks and Hills, fairways were in good shape, greens needed work, weeds starting to come through.

Challenges your senses as well as your game. What am I looking at? Intimidation! Blind approaches, mountain terrain, boulder infused par 3s, but nevertheless beautiful. A must play. Bring extra balls

If you want a quite hike in the woods close to town, this is it. Beautiful.

Great trailhead, good parking, has a national historic landmark farm and out buildings that are well kept. A good place for pictures or a picnic, just be sure to bring mosquito repellent.

Another great trail head into the Birkhead Wilderness area at the Uwharrie National Forest. Probably the most visited trailhead on the wilderness, but has the smallest parking area compared to Robbins Branch.

Hardest course I ever played but also the most fun!

No clue why they wouldnt have range balls on a Sunday at 10 am! Showed up an hour early to get loose and no range balls

Easy, scenic trail for the family. Lots of route options and side trails to explore.
