Great little museum! We liked it so much that we became members and volunteers there.
Can you please take care of my girl the A-26 invader spirit of North Carolina
Absolutely loved this place. Will definitely be making return visits. A great place to take young adults to teach them about history .
We really enjoy this museum. There are a lot of great artifacts and very interesting stories. The planes are gorgeous and the museum is well maintained. I am concerned though about how long the artifacts are going to last as the building is not climate controlled. The original newspapers are already looking as though the weather is taking a large toll on them.
The amazing assortment of vintage aircrafts are in pristine condition and displayed so that you can get upclose viewing. The people are helpful and you can rent one of the hangers to have your event in the midst of the planes.
WOW, another hidden gem in Asheboro. Perfect for kids, family and history buffs.
Interesting presentation of vintage civilian aircraft and military vehicles and memorabilia. Its worth an hour or two. Not crowded, good for kids.
Nice display of small aircraft and equipment ranging from a biplane, to single engine piper-types, to a P-47 and P-51. Many R/C type models of many configurations throughout both hangars. Out standing displays of uniforms and equipment from several wars. The museum has nice selection of models, pictures, shirts and hats. Self-guided but staff available to answer questions.
What a gem! Cant wait to visit again.
A great little adventure destination in a beautiful part of the state. It was better then I expected it to be. Definitely worth a visit.
Not worth the money... the simulator wasnt working and we drove 2 hours for the kids to enjoy .... they loved seeing the planes but wasnt worth the entry fee....
The museum is a rare, surprising collection just a little off the beaten path, near Asheboro. Good companion trip to pair with visit to NC Zoo. Unbelievable coverage including WW2 flight gear from every theater of action to aircraft just off the flight line.
No ww2 fighter aircraft. I expected more.
9 yo grandson & I enjoyed it. Lots of memorabelia, great planes.
A lot of history here and it was a fun place to go and learn about avaiation
The Fly-In This Past Saturday Was A Nice Time, My Second Fly-In There, Liked The Vintage Cars, WWII Planes & Other Assortment Of Vintage Planes. Announcer Did A Great Job With History & Info. Need More Food & Other Types Of Venders. Asset To The Community...Families & Everyone Should Go Visit The Aviation Museum. Introduce Children To Aviation...Lots Of Great Jobs In Aviation In The South, All Over The US & World.
Need some bigger aircraft, but other than that we had a fun time.
Go If you love planes fly-in next month in June
Simon Zhang, what you have said is untrue. That means you slandered the museum, which is a crime. The museum has WAY more than 2 or 3 airplanes. They have at least a dozen, among MANY other artifacts and is a great place to spend an afternoon. If you were that displeased, youre just one of those people that cant be pleased. I have printed your comment, and will forward to the museum board. As Ive said, making false statements to hurt a business or a person is A CRIME.
Great place for the whole family!
Love this place! They had a Fly-in and car show last week. Well done.
Not worth the money to go ... simulator was down ... very disappointing... drove 2 hours to go ...
Small but nicely stocked aviation museum set on regional airport grounds. Worth a visit
Cool place lot of history
Small museum.with lots of history!
Went to the museum during the Fly-in. Nice museum, seemed cramped, but that may just be because of the Fly-in. Definitely a great stop!
Thought it would be bigger. But there are some awesome things there
Very nice and very informative of our past.
Still working on it, but has a lot to see
Its not huge, but nice. Its best to go there during the annual fly-in. This year, it will be on June 1st, 2017. A whole lot to see during the event.
A great museum, showing the air history of our region.
Very cool local place to scour through some amazing history. Its a place where you need to spend alot of time at or if you want to spend an hour enjoying the old planes and war memorabilia while listening to some 50s music. We are going to go back in the fall when its a little cooler in the hangers. If you are looking for a place with all the bells and whistles that offer fun for a short attention span this isnt it. If you want to go and really dive into history by reading the history behind each item this is for you. There is a computer flight simulator which is pretty cool, but the articles on the WWII pilot from Asheboro who made the only known photograph of the Hiroshima blast from his bomber plane, or the Flitsfire plane that was flown by one of the Wrights brothers when he was 77 years old. The fly in is amazing as well, it was a big hit this year with tons of amazing planes. Just a super cool place.
Wonderful experience with my 7 year old son!
Great aviation museum. A must see !
I enjoy lots here.. Nice customer service, go there once..
I was expecting more but seeing a p51 mustang was cool
Some of the displays are pretty cheesy, but overall worth walking thru at least once.
Nice museum.
