We kayaked here, beautiful lake only fishing boats and kayaks. Lots of wildlife and super clean of litter. There is a charge to use the ramp, but well worth paying for nice ramp, clean bathrooms and wonderful helpful staff. We will definitely be back

I enjoyed walking my dog on the short paved trail. They have drink machines and clean bathrooms. You can buy a day fishing license. Canoes and kayaks are available for rental.

Lady was nice but we didnt get to do anything but visit for a sec.. We plan on visting soon and kayaking

Corona has stopped the renting of boats, canoes and kayaks since you cant sanitize the life jackets. Pretty lake, you can still bank fish around the Ranger station and if you own your boat you can launch.

This is a calm City lake that is great for kayaking, fishing, slow boats. Swimming is NOT allowed. They have John boats and kayacks for rent. Its a very clean lake. The access area has clean bathrooms. Ive only caught sunperch so far but Ive seen other folkes catch catfish. Wonderful place for bird watching. I was.told they is a.mating pair of bald eagles that call this lake home.

Beautiful location.Renovation completed 2002.Boat docks, rental canoes, Large Lake (also Asheboro City Water Supply).Childrens (or Adults) equipment playground. Main building with 1/2 wrap around porch with seating and tables. Caretaker lives onsite.CHEERS!!

It was great place to sit and relax to enjoy fishing

Very little public access for bank fishing.. That which is available is surrounded by docks and boats, so not many f8sh ti be caught. Boats are available, which is why I give two stars and not one. The dam is under construction with no visible signs of repair beginning. The bank should be accessible all the way around. This is not ideal for single parents looking to take a child fishing.

Nice place! Playground is not huge, and only a couple shelters; but what you would expect. Can rent kayak or small aluminum boat. Clean and quiet. I enjoyed it.

Nice covered area utilized for a birthday party. Clean bathroom facilities and nice loading dock.

Not much biting today but it was just nice to get the line in the water. looks like theyve got some construction going on with some work being done so Im excited to see what changes will be made

A very lovely lake to sit at and watch the humming birds feed at the feeders on the porch of the office where you can rent a john boat or Canoo to paddle in or fish from the banks of it or on the small pier.

Great place to relax and fish. Nice little playground with a picnic shelter. Boat rentals with life jackets and oars included, but you can bring your own trolling motor and batteries to use on the boats. You can fish from the bank and the little floating pier near the dam, but no fishing from the docks. They have basic fishing equipment and live bait for sale as well as snacks and drinks. Swimming is not allowed.

Enjoyed sitting out by the lake and eating a burger with my grandson. Perfect afternoon. The thunder was our music and the breeze was delightful.

Great place to fish. Jon boat rentals that allow you to bring your own trolling or gas powered motor. Fish are very particular depending on water levels.

Great lake for people new to kayaking, plenty of space and whole lake is a no wake zone. Ive caught bass, bluegill, and catfish. Only issue is a lack of bank fishing space and needing to pay to fish.
