This is one of my favorite nature trails in Ann Arbor. So peaceful! It is right next door to Gallup Park, so you can hit two parks with one stone! The trail runs through a forested area and then along a beautiful river. This is a good place to pray and spend some quiet intimate moments with God our loving Father! There are restrooms in this park.
Perfect place to get out of the river after tubing from the Argo Cascades. Little ramp just to the left of the bridge. And parking is available right there. To get to that parking area You have to go into the Gallup overflow parking when youre driving there. And the current is still flowing about one mile an hour to get you there so you dont have to get out too soon.
Great, level walking trails. Not crowded on Sunday afternoon this time of year. However, about 1/2 visitors were NOT wearing face masks on trails. Very inconsiderate of other visitors.
This is a great nature area. You feel very secluded and there are great views of the river. There are plenty of benches to sit on and the pathways are pretty nice although they can get a little bit muddy sometimes if it rains a lot.
There was a nice short trail that my husband and I took your dachshund on who seemed to get lots of interesting smells! it was a well maintained park with respectful visitors and lots of plant life! would recommend for a nice walk or to even kayak on the water, as many people seemed to be enjoying that activity as well!
Wonderful place! Lots of different habitats. I saw wood ducks, hawks, wrens, woodpeckers, herons, egrets, and more! Easy, flat trails.
Its beautiful along the river, and the boardwalk makes for a fun hike.
A fantastic place to go birding especially during migration! Since it is directly across from Gallup park, it makes it very easy to explore both parks! Plenty of shade along the paths as well as an opportunity to get right next to the river to see more birds or plenty of people kayaking, canoeing or floating along on the current.
A great place for a relaxing quite walk or take your bike to burn some calories or a perfect place to enjoy nature ; this place offers all these options. If you have young kids, the adjacent Gallup park offers play areas, picnic shelters and boating ( currently not available due to COVID19 ). The overall walking / biking trails run for many miles along huron river on both sides. There are some unmarked fishing spots if that is your interest. Most of spring / summer and early dall weekends are quite crowded but weekdays are not. You may get to see many birds, small mamals and reptiles if you are lucky. Overall, its a perfect spot for relaxing walk. Please check the current regulations before you visit.
For me its mainly a convenient quiet place to park the cab when Im catching a nap between trips
Loved it. Perfect morning to walk around to take photos and relax. Great place for photographers that like flowers and birds.
Hidden trails inside Gallup. Quite picturesque and serene
We visit this park for the tranquility and walk my dog. Its very relaxing.
Had a fun time here with my friends. Good prices
Very clean, kept up with. And great place to get out and just breathe.
Very nice. Got nice and moved on but the area is a photographer dream.
Quiet ant relaxing. A welcome contrast to the busyness of downtown Ann Arbor
Great trails!
A nice easy hike. Stroller friendly. Very little of the path is actually on the river but you get glimpses here and there. Just up from Gallup Park. Easy to find. Can park here if Gallups lot is full. Good for bird watching.
Wonderful trail. A bit crowded though.
Its such a wonderful place to run! Its like a little escape from reality.
Great wildlife park and nature area. Location represents five different ecosystems in Ann Arbor. Very peaceful spot!
A little run down, but full of life.
Great Pokémon hunting
Cool place to take a walk. I like that it connects to two other nearby as well.
Beautiful park with quiet trails along the Huron river
There is a lot of nature around as the name implies. There are awesome views of the river, marshlands, and two woodlands. One woodland is more open and has a lot of squirrels and chipmunks. The other is denser and has a awesome wooden walkway. If you take the Northern path you will get a really cool view of the marsh and can hear many frogs. You may see people in the south in kayaks or fly fishing in the water.
Clean and open, with trails. PortaPotti. Trees and a few tables.
A serene escape ...even in the middle of winter... Beautiful swans gathering in the sun.. ..birds chirping.. Fractal ice patterns allong the constant river with sunbeams glistening
Loved it! Went tubing had a blast!
It’s great view and nice lake. I was good enough. maybe you must be happy
Very peaceful.
Nice park to social distance during this pandemic
Great place if you want to enjoy nature but dont want to drive all the way out to the country.
Nice park with very easy trail right on the river

Always a great place to get away quickly and spend time in nature within the City.
Close to U of M hospital. Felt safe and area was fairly clear. Saw lots of ducks on the river. I will come here again. My dog loved the walk.
Love this place! Good fishing spot also.
Awesome park. There are trails connecting to Gallup park close by, and extending further down the Huron river.
A beautiful place to walk.
Plenty of wildlife in and around the river to be watched. Lots of shade on the trails! As a burner this was a huge relief.
Nice river clean water been there 3 times
Excellent nature trail that follows the river and tons of wildlife.
Great place, Ill usually go on lunch during a busy day to stretch my legs. There are 2 swans here that I sometimes watch. I also see a few people fishing here.
Beautiful place to just get away and walk around.
Its beautiful... Nice place to pull out of the water but the bathrooms were in terrible condition!!
Always have a great time here
A nice walk along the river... there were a few kids walking but not much for them to do but enjoy nature.
Very nice. There were beautiful swans on the river.
Nice little hike along the river, big stand of oak trees and native plants.
With the small area that I was on it looks awesome. Nice and clean and outdoorsy. Loved it.
Very nice outdoor area. There are lots of trails for running or walking. Close to the hospital and downtown so its pretty easy to get to.
Nice place
Did a Pokemon legendary raid, almost every one caught a Luigia !!! While my dogs got to run around around .
Rained a fewctimes but still was nice as usual
Perfect day, smooth currents and great people.
Nice place to walk or run, lots of trails. Not too crowded usually, but busy enough to not feel alone.
Very pretty with a nice variety of running trails. It was crowded enough that I felt safe running alone, but not too crowded.

Clean park with several trails and river access
Went tubing at argo. Had a great time with family.
Beautiful place, great for a jog/hike. Just wish there were more garbage containers (raccoon protected) because idiot lazy people just dont understand the concept of a trash can and litter like its nobodys business.
Great pizza
