Its definitely a bit of an oddball as far as location and shops, but you can find some cool and reasonably priced treasures, decor and sometimes furniture if you have time to look. The $5 arcade is a must for the kids. The train display is fun once. Great for a rainy day family outing. Theres sometimes a farmers market outside & even a little cafe indoors.

Another must see and do place in the Allentown area! Relatively low admission allows for repeat visits to the show. They feature 30 minute shows with 30 minute intermissions. Small gift shop is available. The display is on the second floor with an elevator if needed.

This place is really neat! I love model railroading, it is a honby I had as kid with my father and it has been handed down to me to do with my grandson! So going to model railroad displays such as this is awesome. For me, this deserves 4 and 1/2 stars!

Really cool toy train set-up in the Merchants Square shopping center. The shopping center is sketchy, but considering it is a flea market it makes sense. I brought my son and nephew here because they love trains and because of the great reviews and we sure were not disappointed. Adults are $8 and kids under 5 are free which was great. The amount of detail and trains is amazing and you can tell that it took a very long time to set this up. My son and nephew loved the Thomas trains in the back and kept wanting to go back to see them. It was also cool that they had step ladders for little kids to get up on and see. A lot easier that carrying them around the whole time.

Was good but I wish they did not use realistic style buildings with cartoonish style buildings in certain areas. The thunderstorm is not visible unless you are looking at the pond below, should be lit up better.

Felt it was a little expensive for 45 minutes of being in a place. Thats really beautiful, but not able to look at everything at one time.

Its too over the top, and in my opinion, a good display is one that accurately depicts a city, whether in the past or present, which this display does not.

I can not believe this place still exists. Its like that awful racist america that you always hear about, but refuse to believe exists. Oh it exists. In all of its camouflaged glory.

I came here 4 or 5 years ago with the grandsons. They loved it. Even if you are not a toy train hobbiest you should enjoy a gander through this exhibit. Incredible DETAILS. It is an ANTIQUE! Not the modern animation exhibits like at DISNEY World and not expensive like Disney either but the old fashion model trains of yesteryear post WWII. With all the old fashion animation. Even skiers going down a snowy hillside.Younger children need help to see most of the set up. If the kids are small be prepared to hold them or else they can see by climbing ladders on wheels that you can use if its not too crowded . But children need supervised on the ladders... I almost got run over by one out of control being pushed around by unsupervised kids. While waiting for the time of the next entry, the kids can play with the remotes of a toy train housed behind a glass cover at the end of the hall. Very friendly staff. You can stay about 45 minutes inside exhibit.

WOW! This exhibit is amazing! Its fun for all ages. It does close April, May and June for maintenance so plan your visit to see the exhibit. They also have train birthday partys. The tickets are good for the whole day. The self guided tours are 30 minutes then they shut it down for 30 minutes to cool the exhibit. So what are you waiting for? Go see The 8th Wonder of the World Model Train Exhibit. You wont be sorry.

Three large layouts with a lot of cityscape modelled. Not as technically complex a layout as I was hoping for, such as with working switches and signals, but cute none the less. Geared more towards kids than enthusiast. The staff is really friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Overall its worth checking out.
