Great wide open space with picnic tables, benches, and water bowls. Well maintained, and theres typically plenty of friendly dogs there. Theres no parking right there but many people park at the library next to it.

Nice open space, some trees and benches to sit on. No parking and no amenities (poop bags, water, etc). We were passing through and it was good for letting our pups stretch their legs and play, everyone was nice.

This park is great! Its entirely fenced in, spacious, and has a mixture of grass and mulch. Ive never had a problem with mud here, which is more than I can say for other dog parks. Weve visited a handful of times and people seem quite attentive of their dogs and willing to intervene if the play gets a bit too rough. There are a couple minor drawbacks. First, youll have to park at either the library or Harris Teeter nearby. Its about a block or two walk, which might not be great if youre limited mobility. Second, theres no separate area for small dogs. If you have a big dog with high prey drive, this could be a big problem (unless your dog is muzzle-trained or has excellent recall). Third, theres no water access in the park, so be sure to bring your own for your pup.In spite of those flaws, its a great space with responsible owners thats worth checking out!

Wide open space with lots of grass and shade. Best dog park around! Parking at the Beatley library parking lot is easiest. There are dog bowls available but please bring extra water. There are also usually extra balls or toys.

The park itself is gorgeous!!! Considering that its only purpose is for dogs, its awesome. Theres plenty of metal water bowls in case you happen to need one for your pooch. The area is super spacious with about 5 picnic tables and a few benches under shady trees. Cleanliness is definitely not an issue there as there are bags and a trash can at the gate. The only downside about this place, is the location. You have to park your car a little ways out and walk about 7 minutes to get to the park with your pooch. Other than that, its pretty much the best dog park Ive been to in a while.

Not worth coming unless you really want to. There’s no parking around the park so I had to park a mile far and the condition of the park was just not good. Very muddy and trashes every where...I’m not coming back there! Nope!

Interesting use of cloverleaf space, with convid some places like this... In other jurisdiction(s) Dog&Parks are closed, wondering why gMaps says its hours when a school marked temp closed and playgrounds nearby taped closed and signs similar. Also Holmes run park could have a gMaps pin, maybe I ll create one, will see

This is a nice dog park. Theres no features or amenities; its just a big fenced field. But its really all thats needed sometimes. Its also conveniently located by the library and Ben Brennan Park, which are also both very nice

Not safe dusk onward; zero lights. You could be attacked and the car passing by 20ft away wouldnt even see it. No facilities, water, nor bags. Not sure why anyone would rate this park very high, other than the fact that its large. It does have a handful of picnic tables. I chose to come here because it was supposed to be accessible. Technically it is wheelchair accessible, as long as the wheelchair user doesnt want to see where theyre going, nor have anywhere to wheel themselves out of the small paved entrance on wet days. Im in a neck brace and really felt like a sitting duck, surrounded by pitch black wooded area. You wouldnt be able to hear anyone coming at you due to the traffic.

This is probably the largest fenced-in dog park in this area. The dogs who come here are all great and friendly, and owners clean up pretty well. Kids come here all the time and play with the dogs. You can just park at the Harris Teeter nearby and walk 1 block to get to the park.

There is no parking lot attached to the park so expect to have to walk (which shouldnt be a problem for doggos!) The space is great for dogs to run around with each other and everyone I have met has been friendly. There arent any water fountains, so bring some for your dog. Typically everyone brings water to share though. There are also tons of communal tennis balls and plenty of dog waste bags.

No water. Ancient filthy benches 4 humans. Has a reputation for dog fights BUT its large and sunny with shade where you want it on a hot day. And convenient to dog walkers from many directions n neighborhoods. Have met many nice people there; an international community of owners.

Nice large fenced in area for dogs to run with a few large mature trees and picnic tables. My dogs love going to this park to play with new friends big and small. The people I have met there have all been friendly. If a dog is having a bad day with socialization, no one alienates them or tries to tell the pet parent how to deal with them. Everyone gives the dog a chance and if it isnt working out the owner usually departs with their dog shortly after. The two things that would make this park better would be a water spigot and wood chips/mulch to cover the dirt patches under the trees, which turn to mud every time it rains. Otherwise, love this park.

Really nice dog park with open grassy fields. However, you will need to bring your own water, and parking is only available at the Harris teeter or the library.

Its really just an open field that is gated, but that is all you need when you live in a condo and your dogs need off leash play time. Each time I have come around mid afternoon, there hasnt been many people...if any. I like that. Parking doesnt exist so you have to park at the library or shopping center and walk.

It is a good dog parkIt is stated use at your own riskHowever if one already has a trained smaller dog and is playing well with other dogs large medium and small. An owner with a Great Dane who knows that the almost 7 foot on hind legs is not well trained yet such owner may not want to allow the dog to play with smaller onesSmaller trained dogs get squished unintentionally but end of getting a broken rib.

I am not sure if it was just the day we went or the actual location. I have been to four dog parks nearest to me and I have to say that this is my least favorite park. Parking isnt that great and the grounds are not the best if it has rained recently. People are friendly and the dogs seem to be well socialized and friendly. I plan to go back in case it was just the day. Regardless, I would rather have the dog park than not.

Lots of open space, benches, and toys. The park is not built to separate smaller dogs (under 35lbs) from larger dogs, but there is enough space for the dogs to space out naturally. There is no public water spigot either, so make sure to bring your own water.

Visited the Duke Street Dog Park while travelling through the D.C. area. There seemed to always be people and their pets at the park during the prime hours (after 6pm). My dog loved the large size of the park, she was able to run and play without feeling cramped like other dog parks we have visited. There are a couple of drawbacks for this dog park.First, you need to bring your own water (and sometimes bowl) for your pet to use.Second, parking is troublesome. You can either park at the Library or at the shopping center. Both of which are about the same distance from the park.Overall a very nice park and great place for you to let your pet play and socialize.
