Its a beautiful little pond thats right near one of the Great Lakes (Michigan, not even a mile away). Wouldnt be surprised if it has waterways that connect to the Great Lakes. They stock trout twice annually. Theyre is plenty of spots all around the pond. Although most spots are for a single anglers. So, theyre isnt a lot of spot for groups of three or more. But theyre is at least four good spots for groups to hang around. Overall I would be more than happy to came back again and get some fish.

I usually catch a least a small largemouth bass Everytime I go, and recently (fathers day and for 2 to 3 weeks after) I was catching Pike. Also caught my all time personal best largemouth bass on July 23, about 5.75# 22. Its the best place for shore fishing with lures in the Zion, Beach Park and Waukegan area that I have found. Not to big.... I have yet to find a better shore fishing spot. If anyone knows a better shore fishing spot please lmk.

Fished Aug 2020. Never saw anything bigger than minnows. Lots of people fishing, no one catching.

Nice little gem of a pond. I just started fishing again after long time. My biggest catch was 17.5 1.25lb largemouth bass in a Texas rigged worm. Six assorted size others 12-16 1/2 LM bass up to 1.12lbs.

Nicely kept nature walk area. Little picnic area near the pond is nice. Could use at least one other picnic table setting though.

We Love going toSand Pond in the warmer months. Its a Great Place to ride your bike, walk with your partner or your pets! Its the place I look forward to every season!!Its a Protected Park. No swing sets, however, if you are someone who likes to do the things I mentioned, I highly recommend it!!

This place rocks!There is nothing I love more than the Whitetail Deer. The more I know humans, the more I love deer! Although people constantly burrow under my skin, deer never disappoint me!I grew up and spent much of my life in the State Park along the Lake Michigan Lakeshore. Ive photographed and captured the most outstanding high quality Whitetail Deer footage along with an abundance of other wildlife there.Overall I will rate these experiences the highest possible! It was from this park that I have inspired many fond memories. From the very beginning when I could walk through or drive around the swamps of this park and see monster whitetail bucks. Through my years living just West of the park and I would look out my back picture window and see over 20 Whitetail Deer waiting for me to come freshen up the piles of corn and soybeans for them. And now presently providing a bit of relief from the gaping wound left by the most evil false servant known to humanity! This is now my temporary Sanctuary after Betty Burn In Hell Spiller and her worthless sons defrauded me out of land I invested everything since 2009 until 2017.I have been blessed with unparalleled vision for deer and evil!ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD ... Starting April 1st they stock the pond with trout and all sorts of other fish. Its a great place to go fishing. You can take your grandchildren there or your children.
