Great beach. Almost always a place to get away from a crowd. Not that there has ever been a crowd when I was there the most cars Ive ever seen is about 20 and some of them were there to walk the trails.One of the nicest places in IL.

It’s one of the last bastions of nature and open beaches along the Illinois coastline and I am thankful for it. Clean, quiet and beautiful.

I love this place, it is my quiet place, but the storms have torn it up, maybe some day Winthrop harbor will realize the gem they have and invest some money to showcase it to all.I would love to be part of that.

I take my dog to the beach at Hosah Park, frequently. He loves swimming there and we both like walking the beach northward where we can reconnect with the trails in North Dunes State Park. Excellent!!!

This park is really quite nice. Not to many people come down here so it is always quiet. Nice walkway takes you onto the beach.

Used to be a gathering place back in my ZBTHS days, its been almost 40 years since Ive visited. Its a perfect place to run the dogs on the beach, nice walking and biking path too!

Nice beach spot, except there is poison ivy by the path.The water stays pretty shallow for a good ways out.And the sand doesnt have very much stones and junk.

A well-kept secret. I was there for over 2 hours and only saw one other person. The beach is small, only about 15 ft wide. But its also a great place to bring dogs so they can play in the water.

Fun beach and nice wooden walkway. Just too close to the nuke plant. Cannot wait until they fully demolis this monster.

I like this place because it is more natural than most beach areas and has more sand and less sharp stones.

Like Illinois Beach State Park, but never busy!

It is remote-ish so not busy like the nearby resort beach but it is noticeably declining year to year due erosion of the beach--the boardwalk will soon be unusable.
