7 acre Small park with tons of trees and plants. Most of which are well marked. There is a fairy garden, conifer garden and some other areas. Currently a scare crow competition going on. It would appear that its an annual thing. There is a smell, touch, taste area in the fenced in area under the big buckeye tree in fenced in area. East place to walk around for an hour or maybe 2 if you read and stop and take it in. Plenty of chipmunks and squirrels playing around.

Absolutely STUNNING! Id heard about this place but didnt ever think it would be as beautiful as it is. It rivals the Metroparks in Columbus, which we in Zanesville sincerely need to invest in, to enrich our area and the people who benefit from time in nature.

Not only can you see tons of different species of plants, trees, flowers, etc. Youll find touch, smell and taste gardens! A nice walk in the woods also ended with a beautiful pond with an ENORMOUS carp/coy in it.

We love Mission Oaks! It’s beautiful, calm and truly a lesser known gem of Zanesville (which isn’t a bad thing ). We love it so much that we brought our two baby toads here after they finished the last stage of metamorphosis. ️ We spend at least a couple hours here every time we come and love seeing everything change through the seasons. If you come visit, please do not leave trash around, it really isn’t difficult to hold it until you find the trash can or put it in your car. Be respectful and prepared to fall in love with everything there.

A very special place that has events from time to time. Its very beautiful and nice of it to be free. Such cute little activities for kids to enjoy and the fairy areas in the woods is a wonderful experience for anyone with little ones. This was one of my late moms favorite places to go in Zanesville and will always be special to my family and myself.

Mission Oaks is such a great place to go to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy the relaxing views and sounds of the waterfall or take in the more wooded areas. This is one of Zanesvilles hidden gems, located just minutes from Maple Avenue. Mission Oaks is the perfect place to unwind, take some beautiful photos of the foliage or for that most important event. And its free for all to enjoy! ***(If you plan to visit a while and will be there around dusk, be sure to apply some mosquito repellent!)

A beautiful garden, free open to the public and close to the bustling Maple Ave. its beautiful all year, but best in the spring. One side allows you to view various shrubs and trees and this pond. The other side is a short, but precious trail. Theres a fairy garden and gazebo.

Its a small place; if you arent stopping to appreciate its beauty you would be in and out in less than an hour probably. Very lovely though, there is a pond full of fish and turtles, they were at the surface when I was visiting so it was pretty cool. Also, theres a take a book leave a book box which is pretty nifty. I really enjoyed it here.

The Park/Garden is very nice normally I would give it 4 stars. Unsafe walkways is the issue that degrades the park. The walkways are extremely slippery. We were there Nov. 8, 2018 for a walk, the ground was not wet but damp. We notice right away that the walkways were slippery and dangerous so we were being very careful. Was not enough I slipped and fell ended up in the emergency room with a spinal injury. Slip marks from people slipping were notice in several places throughout the gardens. The trails are unsafe! If you are older and a fall could be a serious issue for you STAY AWAY!
