Nice walk along the river and wasnt too crowded even though the parking lot was full. The river was gorgeous in parts and looked like glass! Best picnic tables Ive ever seen somewhere beautifully made. The only downside is that the trails are a little muddy even though its been dry and you really have to watch where you walk so you dont trip over all of the stumps and branches in the trails.
Please be careful. They have a T-Rex that likes to roam around. He is extremely nice but its just an FYI so people are not scared. JK. This place is pretty nice and a few different loops to choose and no more than I believe 2.5 mils for the longest loop and it is for the most part flat.
Kayaking! Hiking! And we stumble across a bird sanctuary! Need more parking! We need more access to safe place to social distance. Expand parking at all parks, reasonable common sense solutions. The no parking signs are not helpful or effective. Its ignoring a problem and blaming the customer. We pay for the parks, a business wouldnt last long if it did things like that. Btw, this is a national park problem. I just want to state the signs are fine if you are also promising you are working on a workable solution.
Nice walking reserve park good also as a spot to put in a canoe or kayak. There is also a bird or raptor house where you can look at owls, hawks or vultures up close in large cages. Though they do seem lonely looking.
Great little park. Has a small aviary that has some owls, a hawk, and a turkey vulture. At this time weve only made one trip here. We completed the blue and brown tail and almost there entirety of the red trail (was very muddy in parts. Caused us to turn back slightly after the loop). Side note: If you take the blue path clockwise as shown from the map, youll have a semi steep hill with stairs to climb. Its not a humongous park but very nice little find. Im certain well go back to finish the trails we didnt get to.
Pretty nice walk by the river but nothing special. The paths were fairly clean although there are some narrow sections where the weeds and grass as taken over as the name of the park implies lol.
A beautiful place with lots of shade. Weve seen owls, deer, & and osprey here. Huge old trees are along the waterway. We like both the upper trail & the lower one by the water.
Great place to get out and enjoy nature take a walk and even have a picnic.
Nice trails and options. Love the higher ridge trails. Fun to people watch canoes and kayaks. The bird sanctuary at the visitor station is nice to checkout and has a nice connecting trail. Lots of mosquitos lately (June 2020).
Wonderful hike along the river. Convenient parking.
Beautiful reserve with three marked trails and its next to the Little Miami River. They have a small aviary too!
Small, but beautiful nature preserve with a variety of trails, and river access.
Its fun to show kids the owls, hawk, and turkey buzzard and then go for a hike in the woods along the river.
Always a great time, many trails for all levels of walkers/hikers to enjoy the outdoors. Well maintained trails and port a potties.
Nicely maintained trails. Good for all ages and shady.
Nice clean trails and good scenery. Dogs allowed.
Very nice walking trails with access to stillwater river
Nice little park. hiking trail is quite nice and its a great place to launch a kayak or a canoe.
Nice trails with some running by the Little Miami River. Raptor house.
Great nature reserve beautiful redtail in the rehab and an eastern screech owl
Trails are hilly. Its cool.
Perfect place if youre looking for a afternoom float and hike.
Beautiful place. Very peaceful
Great place to spend some quality outdoor time!
Nature center was closed but we could look at a few birds. Nice trails.
Why closed? Every other local park is open (Peterson in Cedarville, Sugarcreek MetroPark, etc). What good does it do?
Great park. Avoid after it rains as the paths are very compacted and become slick and you will fall.
This is a very nice park for hiking. You can bring the kids and dogs. It has a small nature center and a few birds in re-hab. The park continues to be updated. The trails are even better than before. The spring flowers are especially nice and the October fall color is worth a visit. You can hike along the Little Miami or choose a path up the hillside. The nature center is usually open on the weekends. You can see many birds as well as an occasional deer and snake.
Amazing place to hike, fish, and generally speaking, just be!
Great trails for hiking. Plenty of nature around. Saw frogs, a snake, ground hogs deer and a fox. Take the family and get out and hike. Plenty of area to fish along the little Miami. If you are a canoe or kayak enthusiasts, there is a great ramp to launch from
Nice nature park- four Raptors on display. The Little Miami River is not so little! Can be muddy, but trails are great.
Great hiking
Great place for a nature walk.
Great place to hike
We saw several people in kayaks and canoes enjoying the current. A family swimming on a gravel bar. We saw 1 large 6 foot rat snake, a small 8 inch garter snake and a small turtle that looked like a muddy leaf at first glance. My grandson and I had a great hike.
Awesome place to hike, bring the dog, all kinds of things!
I like the narrows a lot. Theres a lot of good trails, a few with lots of stairs too, the ones up front mostly. You can primitive camp here in this park, which is another bonus in my opinion. Theres a good map up front with which to find your way, i always take a picture if i see a map so i can look at it later. One long main trail along the river and a canoe/kayak launch adjacent to the parking
It was nice to see an environment so clean and natural. Walked the children around a little ways but would like to take a longer hike w/o the kids to see more... They tire easy.
The wonderful place to walk run see the birds in the aviary swim canoe kayak. make sure to go all the way back if you take a hike beyond a beautiful meadow is the big wood.
Long winding trail up into the wooded area, then a slow winding trail down to the bottom you end up in a parking lot next to the canoe launch. The steps arent for the smoker or arthritic. They tore out a large portion of wooded area next to the trail as you go up on the right. Looks like they made room for another cookie cutter subdivision. Still peaceful and quiet at times.
Fantastic. Great launching place
Over six miles of nature trails in a very peaceful setting. Good place for dog hikes (strictly on leash!).
Enjoyed a nice, quiet hike and took in lots of beautiful scenery.
Im a big fan of the narrows. There are a handfull of trails with various levels of difficulty. None of them are extremely tough, but there are several in the front of the park that have a considerable amount of stairs. Theres a canoe/small boat launch, a primitive camping area with a fire pit towards the back of the park, and a river-side trail. You could spend 20 minutes here, or 3-4 hours of steady walking depending on how much you want to walk. Have seen lots of deer and squirrel here too
Nice place to hike
Nice well kept park
Great place for an easy hike, and some birding.
Why did they remove the canoe launch slide? So convenient. Giant steps are not human friendly.
Great place for a walk in the woods
Great place to hike!
Favorite launch spot for my kayak
Always beautifully maintained no matter what time of year
I love coming here with my pops and my doggies its a great place to visit & walk on the trails, its a very beautiful place!
One of the best places to hike in Greene Co.
Lots of foot traffic keeps the paths clear of vegetation, however it also exposes a lot of roots. However, easy access to the river makes it enjoyable for kids and pets
Trails were fun and adventurous but my friend and I got lost a couple times they could have labeled trails a little better.
Great place for walking dogs or walking with the family
The Narrows is a beautiful place and fun to peacefully pass the time walking around. We like checking on the birds in the Aviary as my son greatly enjoys the experience!
Have always enjoyed going there and its so peaceful.
Small but fun. River access for small boating and good trails
A wonderful place for a nice walk
Nice walking trails along the river. Also a cool bird sanctuary.
Great trails easy access really safe place to hike
Considering the amount of rain, I felt that the trail was still in good shape for our hike.
Beautiful Trails
What gem of a park! The ease of dropping off a kayak or canoe and bringing the pumps to swim offer big perks!
Nice place start a canoe trip
Natural beauty that far exceeds any other man made items.
Great place to bird with nice shaded trails.
Great place to beat the heat with friends and family under canopy of tall trees for a short hike for up to 4 miles if you take a picture of the hiking trails first..no real color signage to know but we walked all of the trails as it shows in photo
A good place to hike and swim
Unplug and experience nature at its finest. Learn about the birds and the bees. ..literally. .. and the various Ohio trees plants and animals including reptilian :)Thank you Greene County Parks and Trails !
Ran the 5 mile Narrows race. Great area to get some hiking or trail running in, especially if you like hills and stair training.
4ish miles of river and big woods trails. some great ups and downs for cardio, but can get pretty muddy along the river trail during spring and fall. a few gems along the paths include the remains of a farmhouse fireplace, an apiary and birds of prey refuge, and a sugar shack educational area. not heavily traveled, mostly folk with dogs. beautiful all year long, and great for trail running on a variety of terrains and inclines.
Great. Dont go down the back access road. My dog and I were chased by a few dogs. No biting or anything they were just protecting their home.
Went here for a sugar bush tour. The kids and adults learned a lot from the guides. Great place for hiking.
Another of Greene Countys jewels. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Clean comfortable nice family atmosphere
Love this place, but porta potty is always horrible!!!! Great nature shack, put-in on Little Miami River to Bellbrook Canoe rental 5 mi down river, good trails. Small parking lot.
Great running trail.
Beautiful, peaceful and lots of fun.
Tubbing down the river to the rope swings and the kids had a blast and the adults relaxed in their tubes so enjoyable
Great place to sit and talk, hug, kiss my woman. Ct
Interesting place not as many displays as we had seen there years ago
Great trails with nice views of the nearby creek. The hills are steep and plenty, with nicely kept trails. They could have better markings on the trails, but the great maps are helpful enough that this doesnt matter much.
Never short on mud but a beautiful hike. Vista trail needs to reopen soon!
Great wooded trails, not crowded. Convenient canoe put-in for the Little Miami River within an easy float trip to a number of take-outs.
