Scout Dog Park

My doggy and I love this park! I think I enjoy coming here as much as he does. Ive met so many nice people and dogs. The park is clean and there is plenty of space for your dog to roam. The evenings can get pretty busy, but if you go during the morning or early afternoon its not bad at all. If youre looking to socialize your dog or looking to tire them out, check this place out.

This dog park has2 areas. One for small dogs and another for larger dogs. Small dog section is flat and large dog area has a larger area including a valley with woods. Plenty of places to sit and bags are provided.

With the lockdown it was pretty quite. Seemed like a nice place for when things get back to normal, or if.

Use the back dog park, it’s secluded and your dog will get the whole area to itself, If my dog can’t speak how can I tell you if he’s friendly or not?

I definitely love this dog park. Its probably one of the nicest ones in the area. I usually take my greyhound to this dog park since its so close to home. Plus, Rural King is right around the corner. Theres a small area and a large area for dogs to play in. In the back is Pierce Park, but theres no real good way to walk between Scout and Pierce. It can be a mud pit after a rain or snow, so bring out your boots just in case. Owners are pretty good at picking up after their dogs in this park, but on occasion I see some piles in the corners.

I love Scout Dog Park. I have met some truly amazing people there. The dogs are well mannered and theres enough room for everyone. My husky Maya loves the wooded area in the top pen.

Decent size park with separate areas for small and large dogs. My pup loved it! And I liked the seating, water stations, and complimentary doggie bags. Will definitely take my pup back here!

Great dog park! Only issue is that the water has been turned off for the winter. Take your own jug of water.

Its a great place to take your animal if you dont have a yard. Its a great place if you want to socialize yourself and your animal. My 2 dachshunds love this park

A lot bigger than it looks. Id give 5 stars, but the fence isnt very tall and theres a busy road right next to the park. So if your dogs a jumper, Id be weary about bringing them to this park.

Big area, lots of space for pups to run, and lots of friendly visitors in all seasons.

Had the worse experience!! As soon as we entered the park 3 other dogs attacked our dog. The owners just stood there and watched. Will absolutely not be going back!!

I took my 2 girls to the park yesterday, they went crazy, had tons of fun and slept like logs last night, even let me sleep in this morning. It was great!

Awesome place to bring your pet. Plenty of running space and even has access to fresh water.

This is a really nice park. I like that it has a wooded area the dogs can enter. That will be handy during the summer.

Great place the only bad thing i have to say is about some dog owners who think its okay for them to sit in their car while the dogs are in the yard and not being watched. Like today it was cold but if your cold then your short hair dogs are too. Was there a little over an hour and when we got there the lady was sitting in her car saw us got out so we walked around, she then got back in her car and left them in the yard so we went ahead and left.

Very nice dog park with plenty of room for small and large dogs. 3 dog paddocks, 1 for small dogs and 2 for large. Nice entry area with plenty of room to leash and unleash your dog. Nice watering area and plenty of waste disposal bags and bins for cleanup.

Fun park for your dog, expect to have a mud puppy by the time your done though if its wet outside. Take my friends dog here sometimes and she definitely loves goimg to the park. There is a section for small dogs and a bigger section for large dogs, plenty of room to run regardless of the size of your dog though. Will be back for sure.

I love taking my babys here they love running and running and my kids live seeing their fur babys having fun

A busy park with area for small dogs and excellent running area for large dogs

Its a bit muddy around the entrance but a great park. Fresh water, open grassy field, and a wooded hill to explore. Has an area dedicated to smaller dogs under 25lbs. Most people are friendly and control their pets.

As a doge I found this place very interesting much fun

Nice park; wooded areas as well as open fields. Well maintained. Sometimes, an over-abundance of aggressive pit bulls.

My friend and I took her Golden retriever there(7 month old) and were attacked by two different dogs(doberman and poodle), other than that a pretty friendly place! Great way to release dogs energy!

Love this place! Dont always love the people there but I like their dogs! Its nice and clean and my dogs love to play and run with the others. One suggestion...if you dont love dogs, dont go to the dog park.

One of the nicer dog parks in the Dayton area. They have water fountains and even a shower for your pet.

My dogs love coming here! During the warm months there are dog drinking fountains, a large field and a wooded area with a hill. Sunny spots and plenty of shade with benches.

My dog loves the park meets some nice dogs. I would like to see the humans watch their dogs so they can pick up their dogs poop.

Take my dog here as often as I can. The only issue I have is that sometimes the park is not maintained as well as it could be in regards to the water fountain not working. If you read this before going there, I highly recommend taking some water for your dog in case it is still not fixed.

For the most part the park was clean but the areas were extremely muddy and the water feature did not work at all.

I enjoy taking the family dogs there. I just wish more people were considerate and pick up after their dogs. After all, theyre good enough to provide water and poop bags with recepticles.

I was in town visiting older family and needed to find things to do and greatly appreciated the nice weather and atmosphere here at this park. And wish I had my dog :(

Nice, large area for dogs to play off leash. Two main sections, one for bigger pups and one for smaller ones, which is nice. My dog enjoys getting to run there, so I enjoy the park. Glad its available!

Facilities are fine. My issue is that I cannot go one visit without an aggressive dog and unaware owner becoming a problem. The chances of you and your dog having a good time are 50/50.

Dog paw rinse station needs drainage cleared. It is a swampy, unusable mess. Bring your own cleaning supplies or a tarp to protect your upholstery from post Fido-fun.

Not as good as the Vandalia dog park but it is a good size and plenty of room for dogs to run around.

Fantastic dog park! Lots of room for running and a really unique wooded area. Very secure double entrance helps prevent runaways. Large enough to avoid any misbehaving dogs.

I love taking my dogs here! The only negative thing I can say is this. When other people bring their dogs and they start causing an issue, we have to leave. The owners of the problem child never do.

A nice dog park with two hillsides separated by a shallow gorge. During summer there is shade available and the park is well maintained.

The park is nice, but some people need to clean up after their dogs better. Also, if your dog starts a fight with every dog it sees, take it to one of the sections that doesnt have dogs in it.

Spacious area for our fur babies to run and play, plenty of room for fetch games. Two separate areas, one for small dogs and one for large. Double gated entrance/exit. My two doxues loved playing there and meeting new friends.

Great dog park with a lot of room to run. That being said. I contacted the dog park via email asking the weight limit for the big dog park. They told me 35 pounds. Multiple owners think there small 10-20 pound dog is a big dog and bring it in the big dog park. My dogs are great with big dogs but are horrible around small dogs. They think they are rabbits or something and then the owners of the small dogs freak out and take swings at my dogs. My dogs have never once had a problem with big dogs. These owners need to be forced to put their small dogs in the small dog park.

I love this place. My dog can run and explore. Even if there are no other dogs there it is a good place to just let him explore. Not a great place for puppies. Would recommend the park add a third location to the fenced in area for the more mild and meek dogs so they can socialize without the fear of the more active dogs. The park is certainly big enough for a third area.

Ive been taking my dogs here for years. The size is wonderful, enough room they can really play! The wooded area is my Great Danes favorite place to explore. Multiple stations for doggie cleanup.They only downside is sometimes the owners dont watch their dogs as closely as I watch mine. Yesterday my Dane was bitten several times by the same dog. After the first time; I asked the owner to leave and reminded him about the rules. They stayed and theres really nothing I could do. The next time she was bitten I was not so polite.wish there was some monitoring. If she had been injured it would have been a he-said, she-said situation.

Good place to bring your dogs to play

A georgeos place with lots of land. I have a small/ medium dog and started on the small size dog area then went to the big dog side. the big dog side is for all dogs as people have made it into and the other side is for dogs that need to play alone. Beautiful area and lots of land. little hiking area built in, nice touch for the dogs and lots of green space few tables and awso me water area. I would recommend this to anyone.

I love the idea of let our fur babies play and socialized how ever I found out the hard way not every dog owner keeps up their pets shots . I was taking my puppies down to socialize them to find out they contacted parvo and for those of you who dont know what it is its a parasite that clings to the intestines and first symptoms most of the time seem like food poisoning. Its very fast and extremely sad I lost 2 of 4 pups I rushed them to the vet we werent even due for the 3rd interval so my misunderstanding and others not even trying lead to the death of 2 beautiful fur babies the park its self isnt to blame alone the park keepers try their hardest to keep this park beautiful and fun for all. Pet owners should be more educated.

Always a safe and friendly place to take your dogs. There are three separate gated areas to go to. One is for small breeds only.

Great area to let your dog run. Completely enclosed with a separately gated entrance to the play area. A lot of area with some trees and grassy areas. Drinking fountain for your dog and pooper scooper stations.

Really big space for dogs to play. The community is very welcoming and polite, unlike other places where dog owners dont even wasnt to talk to you.

It was a nice park and all the dogs there play and have a great time.

Much better than just a plain field, this park has a wooded depression in the land that the dogs love to explore. Seems to be maintained nicely as well.

Google doesnt have sunrise to sunset as an available time. That is the hours of operation great dog park though.

This is an amazing park to take your dog to if they are energetic and sociable. However, through no fault of the park, it does have some downsides. Unfortunately there are a wide range of irresponsible dog parents that venture here. One of the biggest problems is parents not seperating their aggressive dogs from the rest when they start to pick fights, and allowing their untrained canines to bully the rest.For the most part, this has happened a handful of times, and naturally, animals can get snippy with each other, but when I see someone stroll in with an unneutered breeder dog with marbles the size of Jupiter, I always assume theres going to be trouble.
