Well worth the drive up from I40.Use Google maps and you will have no problem finding. Just off the local road. A little rough pavement going in, but not a bad road.

Warning: this area is *not* marked, and very easy to pass up.The view from this location is pretty good, but if you already have been to the Petrified Forest it is not worth going out of your way to see this location.

Definitely worth the short detour off the 40 if you are close, despite the viewing area being a bit overgrown and neglected. The landscape is so otherworldly. Even better if you happen to catch it with a storm! Spectacular.

The views were so beautiful we got married here. The park needs some love and clearly isnt maintained any more by the county.
