Its a great facility with access to the Poudre River Trail. Beautiful in autum.
We took the trail mid-June and it was a great experience. My son loved well-groomed trails, river access and amazing wildlife. The trail is most suitable for adults who are seeking to improve your Fitness level hiking biking and River exploring for children under 10. Bring your dog or bring your kid with you to have fun and enjoy all the CO has to offer including amazing Colorado Outdoors.
Love this spot! Easy access, bathrooms, water fountains for humans and doggos. Also a place to rinse sand from your feet. Great walking trails and multiple river access points.
Love the path that connects to the Poudre trail, and theres access to the river as well. Shade is minimal, so wear sunscreen and go during the cooler parts of the day. Bathrooms and plenty of parking available as well.
Great place to have a quiet picnic, let your kiddos play in the water and theres a close by restroom/water fountain too! Walk down the cement path to explore underneath the bridge and play in the water some more!
Beautiful trail with ponds on both sides, our family has even had bald eagle sightings!
Beautiful open space perfect for walking and biking. There are numerous lakes with many birds and ducks. Very peaceful with lovely mountain views.
Beautiful walking area thats not over crowded with people.
Excellent trail for running or riding bikes, not crowded and it is a wide path.
Super easy to find. Perfect spot if youre looking to be alone on the trail. And of course the scenery is magical as you travel between the rolling hills of the high planes and the forested fairy land of the river
Beautiful area. Great for a picnic or just walking around in the river. Bring water shoes!
Clean Restroom. Shaded tables next to the river. Good place to start your bicycle ride to fairgrounds and back
Great addition to the Poudre River Trail. I appreciate the improvements made by Larimer County to restore the River Bluff Open Space. The Town of Windsor is building a new trail connection from the High Hops area, around the north side of Kyger Reservoir, and connecting to the River Bluff Trailhead. It is going to get better and more people will have access.
Great little hiking spot.
Nice little space to explore. The path leaves the open space proper after just a couple of hundred yards (after the bridge over the Poudre river), but theres quite a lot to see, especially birds. No fee. Parking lot. Public restrooms. A couple of picnic tables. Paved path.
Actual running water in the bathroom? Well done Windsor.
Small and quiet. Has restrooms and picnic tables along the river. Good sunrise spot.*Restrooms are closed for winter. Its a pit toilet, what did you have to winterize?? At least put 2 porta potties for park goers. But places that have restrooms but dont have them open should be ashamed. I hope you have an emergency and show up to a locked bathroom sometime. Think of the elderly or people who have problems with things like that. Otherwise you have a beautiful park along a beautiful river in a quiet location.
Some of the best scenery around. You feel like youre way out in the country on some parts of the bike trail, then youre surrounded by beautiful homes. Before you know it, youre out in the country again. Awesome bike trail...and once its connected to the Fort Collins section of the Poudre Bike Trail this will be an amazing ride!
Fun visit be sure to have water with ya.
